If I could give this company less than a one star I would. I pay nearly $200 a month for cable and WiFi and have constant issues with my service. AT LEAST three times a week my cable is not working and I have to wait for the cable to just randomly turn back. The WiFi is horrendous. Just this month I have had to replace the box they have given me twice and have placed multiple calls to attempt to fix my WiFi when it goes out on a daily occasion. Unreliable. read more

I can't remember hating a company more than this one! To add to my feelings, today I was offered a bogus survey with a chance to win a thousand dollar gift card. The survey generated by Continuum. After pages of information about me, my life, my family I was asked to check a box that said I agreed to have companies contact me to push their products. I didn't think Continuum could get any scummier than they already are, but guess again! When I declined to check the box, the site took me directly to advertisers pages! Continuum Cable may not be the slowest internet service ever, but it has got to be in the top three! Unfortunately I live in an apartment complex (Langtree Lake Norman) that has made a deal with this company, so I cannot use another ISP. I work online and have to put up with frequent lapses in service, where I get kicked-off the internet. The connection is frequently very slow and that results in long download and upload times. If you have a choice, I do not recommend this service! read more

Great internet services with speeds up to 1gig down and 50 up. The new whole home gateway is amazing and their telephone services is great. The staff at the office are awsome and their installation techs are the best in the area. This review is solely about the poor customer service at their main Mooresville office. I do not want this to reflect negatively on the excellent technician that visited my home as he was a pleasure to deal with. Continuum does have decent prices for cable and internet but heaven help you if you have to contact them. I no longer live in my house full time so I wanted to reduce my TV service to a lower tier. After calling to do that, they informed me there would be a $25 change fee in order to save money each month! Insane. I agreed to that but then instead of changing my service tier, the turned off my internet & cable completely so my renters had nothing from Thurs-Mon. No one answers the emergency after hours phone # btw, I finally was able to reach them thru Facebook Messenger of all avenues! Then, they didn't want to come fix it until the following Thursday! After arguing about that they finally sent the very nice man out that Monday. Now, I get my next month's bill & its still higher than what I had agreed to. So, I call to have the bill reviewed & am promised someone will call me, no one does. Today I call again, speak with a very rude, condescending customer service agent who at no time apologizes for any inconvenience & is downright rude about the entire situation. Working in retail, I get that customer service is a lost art but I don't have to accept it. For a company who eagerly takes my money each month they surely do not go out of their way to help or even offer empathy when they have created an issue. Disappointing to say the least! I definitely do not recommend them but unfortunately we don't have many options on my side of town, and it's obvious they know that. read more

Sarah at Customer Service was great and did all she could. I have had more problems with Continuum in one year than I did with Mi Connection the whole time they were in operation. I have found Continuum to not be dependable on meeting time frames or in the past during outages and no technical department to contact during problems. I don't believe that Continuum works around the clock or much after 5. I sure miss the old company. I will be looking for a better company soon. I'm so happy to have my service and not have to go overnight again without T.V. phone, or computer that I will be very generous and give a 2 star rating. You're welcome. read more

After years of being held over a barrel by a municipality monopoly, i have had enough. TV, HDTV, DVR and internet has worked intermittently at best. I have had countless service calls and techs/engineers in my home to no avail. All the same issues i have had still happen and i am constantly told that i am the only customer that has these problems. I have been lied to constantly for years. After speaking with the president Alan Hall personally and presenting him with my formal letter of complaint, i was told he would present my letter to the board and contact me back with their answer. That was 6 months ago. Total lack of honesty, not to mention professionalism. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from the complete hoax of cable and internet service as you can. I used to think that Time-Warner was the worst T/C company ever. After a year they have been replaced by MI-Connection. Where do I start: Many of their problems stem from paying way to much for the company to begin with. Hubris? Arrogance? Incompetence? Who knows why anyone, however well intentioned, would buy a sick cable provider. Now, with such a huge debt burden, they cannot invest in new technology, putting them far behind other providers, not to mention growing service problems. Even though there are no alternatives in my area of Cornelius, at least the town doesn't have to pay for the outrageous annual deficits, as do our neighbors in Davidson and Mooresville. At this point the company is in a big hole and will be lucky to dig its way out any time soon. So, be prepared for more outages, interruptions, outdated equipment, confused and discriminatory pricing (current customers get the big shaft) and frustration. I will say however that many MI-Connection employees are terrific. read more

I also have to comment that I had an earlier appointment where I missed the technician, Continuum made every effort to send another technician within an hour so I didn't have to reschedule. 5 stars to Continuum and especially Jarred for making everything go super smooth. read more

Obviously the worst cable provider on the planet they wait till the last minute to do anything, my tv service is constantly pixalating and theirs always a excuse ,,when they run out of equipment such as onts power supplies ,certain cable boxes and routers they wait till the last minute to reorder causing a panic and now again they wait till the last minute to renew some contracts that causes some of our channels missing for example metv among some other channels as well inconveniencing their customers to buy a digital antenna until they renegotiate their contracts for the record I used to work for this company so I have first hand on their everyday operations and I did get a really nice discount however I no longer work their and my bill is well into the hundreds like all other customers so this really pisses me off to have to buy a antenna to get channels that continuum or TDS should be included with my subscription this company sucked as continuum, and I I seriously sought TDS will make it better so far as a paying customer my opinion is this cable company really sucks they are the worst and I mean the worst ran company I wish comcast or spectrum was in my neiborhood ,I would have them if anyone is considering using this company I guess if that's the only choice you have your stuck if you have other options use them stay away from continuum/TDS read more

I have had Internet through MI-C for two weeks now and I am paying for 200 Down and 20 Up (a higher price than TWC's 300 Down and 20 Up, by the way). I have been getting an average of 50 Down and 18 Up since day one. I have had a service tech and a main line engineer come to my house with no noticeable improvements. I just called to set up another appointment for a tech to visit and was told the earliest availability was Monday, August 15th; it is currently Tuesday, August 9th! That will make three weeks without the speeds I am paying for and need. I work from home and rely on the internet working properly to pay my bills. They told me they would "adjust" my bill for this month but I'm still having to wait another week before I can work properly. To top that off, when I originally made the appointment to connect the service the appointment time was set for 10 am - 11 am (I had the call on speaker phone and 2 other people heard me set that time). The installation tech showed up at 9:20 am while I was out at the old house loading up the moving truck. He called and said he would "try" to come back later. When I called customer service a supervisor told me the appointment was for 9 am - 10 am and that they wouldn't be able to send a tech out again for a week. A WEEK! I called every day until they were finally able to "fit me in" 3 days later. Then, after talking to tech support a few days later about our extremely low speeds they said they would send out a tech at the earliest available time. They DID NOT give me a date or time but instead said that dispatch would contact me with an appointment. I never heard from them. Two days later a tech shows up at my house unannounced. He then tests everything he can and says a main line engineer would have to come out. I asked him to have dispatch call me with an appointment time, and he said they would. Again, never heard from them. The engineer shows up two days later, again, unannounced. Thankfully I was home for both of these unannounced calls. The engineer does some work out by the road and our ping went from an average of 30ms to an average of 15ms. He stated that getting the ping below 20ms was all he could do and I would need to schedule ANOTHER appointment for a service tech to come out and troubleshoot again (he did not offer to submit a request for us as the other tech had), which brings me to today and being told it will take another week for us to get any help. Considering MI-C is the only cable option in our neighborhood they know I can't go anywhere else and therefore refuse to offer any kind of acceptable customer service or support. The SECOND Google Fiber comes to Mooresville I will be dropping this sorry excuse for a business. I'm not a fan of TWC by any stretch of the imagination but if you have a choice, choose them over MI-C. At least you can get a tech to your house on time and in most cases in less than 24 hours. read more

I am working on the phone and need to have a reliable land line due to confidential info. When I asked the sale agent about the phone service, if it was land line, she lied with me that it was. But I just had them installed yesterday,01/07/2015 and doubted about the modem when the tech told me he needed to place my phone station close to the modem. I checked with him again and he told me that the internet would not interfere with my phone line at all. Today, I could not receive work on my phone, use my phone to call Mi-connection and receive no signal. I had to use my cell phone to call and talked to a lady in technical support and found out Mi-connection used voice services over internet. Mi-connection, YOU ARE A BIG FAT LIAR!!! read more

Absolutely terrible. I'm paying $100 per month for what's supposed to be 200mbps downstream. At best I get 20mbps. I've called their support reps multiple times and discovered they are woefully undertrained and inexperienced, to the point that they don't understand basic networking concepts. I'm an IT professional and the quality of the networking so bad that I can't reliably work from home. This is the worst cable company I've ever dealt with. If I had ANY other option for Internet I would happily take it. As best I can figure, the operating model is "fleece the customers and line the pockets of the board before running things into the ground." I've never seen what's supposed to be community owned broadband fail to support its community so significantly. MI Connection is so bad that when my lease expires, I'm moving and making sure that my next place isn't in their neighborhood. read more

Horrible. The worst. The channel guide is a joke, not intuitive. Remote is difficult to use. Cannot put on closed captioning for one show, have to go to system settings. Internet will not stay connected, will scan multiple times a day. I hate it. Technical support is not local, it's a call center and they just read from a manual. If you are considering an apt or condo with only this option available for Internet/cable and either is important to you, I recommend moving somewhere else. If you have another option don't even consider mi-connection, just sign up for the alternative, it's worth the extra money. Trust me!!! read more

As a long time Internet customer, from the blazing speeds of 3Mbs to my current 100Mbs connection ,if anything I've been loyal. My ongoing dilemma is getting consistent speeds. I must do random (time of day) but regular speed tests using their recommended app, Speedtest. It also must be configured to their server, assuming it's visible. I'm currently having to use Charlotte, by either AT&T or Sprint. That aside, SPEED, we all want it, we must have it, right? I am always beyond punctual paying my bill so that's a non-issue. I've rebooted both my modem and router with no avail. Next not so fun step; call Tech Support! Oh the joy (I'm frowning here). I know I'll be on the phone too long, once again (teeth grinding). Mi connection is the pits of internet and tv. I laugh every time I see that stupid monkey ad telling you that satellite tv has so many problems, well that is a mirror image of Miconnection.The internet drops all the time to the point that you reboot their antique equipment (yes I requested 3.0 modem all my personal equipment is top-notch ) No IPV6 so no chat or messaging on x-box. Well, I could go on and on but since this is all you are allowed to get due to a block on anyone else like spectrum or any other provider Mi-connection can charge ridiculous rates for crap service. They have a monopoly in the area, so many of us are stuck with them as the only available cable provider. They know this, so they have no incentive to provide a better product. Their equipment is out-dated and sub-par. Their dvr service rarely works properly. They are aware of this, but will simply tell you to come switch your box for another one, instead of updating their equipment. I had far more updated equipment years ago with TWC. You'll typically be left on hold for quite some time while trying to reach customer service and tech support, and you'll find you need to contact them often. Customer service is usually congenial. Tech support is often less than helpful. read more

My experience with Mi has been part good part not so good, let me explain. I think the people who are working on the front lines that answer the phones when you call are doing the very best job they can do with the information that is provided to them. Has anyone ever tried to figure out the billing practices ? I have found this out, they bill a month in advance, so lets say you are billed on the 15th of January and this would run until Feb 14 but the bill would be due on the 4th of February confused yet? Try down sizing and have say net service only and use say a antenna for TV which I might add is much much clearer that the cable picture . So lets say you make a payment on January 14th for 164.11 and on this day it has been prearranged with mi connection to discontinue TV and phone and just have net which a good speed costs say around $87.00 . Then the bill from Jan. to Feb shows you owe $157.44 on the 15th which according to mi connection billing would be a month in advance right? I have already paid this and this should show a lesser amount. Several calls have been made and different answers every time by different people still the problem persists . I have been told I owe $109.. $87.00 and $59.33 yet according to the web site it still shows I owe $157.44. I think according to my calculations I should owe somewhere around $ 10. or $11. Maybe some mathematical expert needs to figure this out. Other than the fact we have been through several modems and the picture quality was not as good as what I get from a antenna for free I guess Mi connection would be okay read more

We just use them for cable and use ATT for internet/phone. Cable is fine. Customer Service is not good but the technical service support is excellent, and the technicians who come out are good. Customer Service told me I needed to be charged for a visit when their equipment went bad, I drove out to get a new box/remote, and then it would not connect. I called and she said I didn't have a cord I needed and couldn't follow the instructions and would have to pay for a tech visit. I had the same cords as before so that didn't make sense. I hung up and called the option for tech support back, and it was their fault the system wasn't connecting - they had to send a signal to it. They are great but the customer service was clueless. Always go for the tech support team if you can. read more

I had Mi-Connection for many years and was a loyal and happy customer until the day I decided to cancel because we needed to bundle our services. When I did cancel and called in, they told me my account had been closed but told me just to return the equipment anytime. When I finally returned the equipment a month later, they told me my account had not been canceled and that I owed for the service for the whole month! Then after talking with them, they said "okay we wont charge you." I thought my account was canceled then and I didn't owe them anything until today when I got a bill! After speaking with them at length, it turns out that the person there had lied to me about waving the month fee and that I did in fact owe them money for the time I didn't return the equipment. I feel that their lack of communication, and then going back on their word, was cause enough for me to write this bad review. They always gave me good customer service when I was a customer, but as soon as I left their tune changed! read more

Well I said I would give an update and here it is, since May 26th we have been dealing with these guys. They finally got us internet service that is good after much fighting with them, all they want to do is make more money, they really must be in trouble, don't know. I see where someone posted how great their new service is well we are just not willing to pay more when we cannot get service, the dvr box we have is so outdated it has programs on there that is not suppose to record and on the wrong day, it is crazy and now our tv is going in and out of service every day and it is not the tv cause we have had the tv people out as it is still under warranty , so wed will be the 6 or 7th time MI Connections is coming out, yeah we have had a few credits but REALLY??? we should even have to pay for this, we can't go a day without having to reboot the box.........can't believe these people can continue to be in business and no we cannot get time warner to come here for whatever reasons, don't understand..... read more
