I was linked up with one of the makeup artists Chelsea, who was trained in Mac makeup for a bridal makeup trial. I didn't want anything natural or traditional and was looking for someone capable of doing some fairly dramatic, whimsical, unique makeup for my forest fairy wedding. Not less she fun and personable, she was extremely talented and efficient and my makeup was just perfect. The entire experience was so comfortable and i barely had to give any direction because she came prepared and understood the vision! 10/10 recommend' read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Contour Bridal! They did an incredible job making me, my 7 bridesmaids, and MOB feel our absolute best for my wedding! Taylor, the owner, was so sweet and great to work with - going above and beyond to accommodate my crazy schedule for the trial and even managed to find an additional artist for us at the last minute. Jenn did my hair, and Daejah did my makeup, and I was completely blown away by their talent! From the trial, I knew I was in great hands and I didn't want to change a thing! Jenn perfectly captured the look I wanted and my hair stayed perfectly through the night. I felt like a princess! Daejah's makeup look was ART! I don't wear a lot of makeup typically, and she made me feel like the very best version of myself. Also, my makeup lasted until 2am in over 100 degree heat (I needed absolutely ZERO touchups, I still don't understand). Both Jenn & Daejah are so incredible - book them immediately! They are also so so fun, and we had a blast hanging out with them the morning of and they really brought the ~vibes~ for the day. Kaleh & Giselle helped doll up the bridemaids as well and were awesome! Really loved their work. I actually chose Contour Bridal after seeing them work their magic for one of my best friends' weddings, where she had a great experience too! Highly highly recommend, and can't wait to tell everyone I know getting married in Sonoma & nearby areas that they are THE BEST! read more

It's taken me a few days to process how much Taylor grossly mishandled this situation. I can not recommend Contour Bridal to women with darker skin, specifically black women. Me and my fiancé eloped in Sonoma CA in Oct. We both live in Chicago so I was limited to internet research when it came to local vendors. During my initial reach out I asked for an artist comfortable working with darker skin and sent in inspo pictures of black women. Noticing a sparse amount of black women in their portfolio, I really wanted to ensure their was expertise. Taylor responded quickly saying "We are definitely comfortable with all skin types & tones, I know our IG shows a lot of similar faces but I assure you you're in great hands." This to me signaled despite their portfolio, many of their artist regularly work with black women - great I thought. I booked a trial and day of wedding makeup & hair back to back for my wedding week in Sonoma and was assigned an artist. I was not in great hands-- the trial was a disaster. I don't know how else to describe the makeup other than I looked like a Geisha... The artist was very nice but It was very obvious she was overwhelmed and more so inexperienced with darker skin. I think sensing something was off, that night I get an email from Taylor asking how it went. I express my frustration and she suggests switching the MUA to another lead MUA and having the original artist just do my hair. I look at the other woman's IG and I see ONE black woman deep in her IG. No! At this point trust has been broken and I'm believing everyone's portfolio at face value - it's clear there is no expertise with black women. I tell Taylor no, and her immediate response is defensive. It's important to point out that both the suggested MUA were women of color- but neither were dark skin and neither were black. It became very clear in my correspondence with Taylor that she had conflated being a woman of color with expertise in black women, when not only was no one black, no one had a portfolio to suggest they really work with black women on a frequent basis. Taylor saying "we work with all skin tones" is not only misleading, it's an outright reckless statement. Although the situation was later somewhat rectified through a partial refund, this was after I already came up with my own game plan: to make an emergency Sephora run the morning of and do my own makeup. I had also spent the night before my wedding going back and forth with Taylor trying to explain why her team's capabilities should have been explained to me before I booked. Ultimately I chose to write this review because of what was stolen from me: I spent the morning of my wedding balling my eyes out -- that is a memory I will never get back and will be forever spoiled. What was supposed to be a relaxing morning where I reflected on one of the biggest moments of my life, was instead chaotic. I don't blame my MUA for taking a job that was assigned to her, but I do blame Taylor for not having the foresight to critically think about the potential harm it could cause to assume her artists have expertise outside of their obvious scope. Because the truth is I and the next few black women will be their Guinea pig. read more

My wife worked with Contour for our June 2025 wedding and had a fantastic experience! Taylor was so easy to work with - so responsive and enthusiastic! Marla did her hair + hair for moms and 5 bridesmaids, with Tamra assisting. Contour has so many options for hair and makeup, and Taylor can help find the right people for your style. read more

Consider this your RED FLAG. QUIT 2 WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING! Regrettably, I must share my profoundly disappointing experience with this hair and makeup vendor. This company, particularly Taylor the owner, who boldly proclaims their high standards, marred what should have been a joyous occasion - my wedding. It has taken me several months to actually let this all sink in and get over the stress of it all but I still look back with one regret on my wedding day... Contour Bridal. Despite their lofty prices and assurances of unwavering standards on their website, the reality was far from the advertised excellence. A brides makeup is 720$ in fall 2023 - (600$ plus mandatory 20% gratuity - travel or fees not included). On their website it says "during our first conversation, we will discuss the hair and makeup you're looking for and from there you will be matched with the best artist for your style. Once deposit is received, your artist will reach out to introduce herself." None of this happened. Two weeks prior to the wedding, stressed as I was, I had to chase them down for information(I had booked more than 6 months prior!). After minimal discourse about my dissapointment with the lack of communication given their prices the vendor abruptly quit, leaving me in a state of panic and deprived of the opportunity to assess their so-called excellence. Attempting to address the unmet promises led to further disillusionment. The real kicker? Instead of acknowledging their shortcomings, Taylor chose to sever direct communication and only engage through my wedding planner, displaying a lack of professionalism and accountability on every level. This vendor thinks they're above being accountable to the very clients who keep them in business. In the aftermath, this vendor remains a lingering source of regret. Their behavior was not only a breach of contractual obligations but a disheartening example of irresponsibility and disregard for the clients who trusted them with a significant moment in their lives. I caution others to exercise extreme caution when considering this vendor, as their actions reflect a lack of commitment and integrity to the very clients they are meant to serve that can profoundly impact your once-in-a-lifetime event. Taylor is all about pocketing high prices while doing the bare minimum. Criticism or challenges? Forget about it. If you want a spoiled vendor who only shows up when it's easy and cashes in without putting in the work, go for it. Just don't expect them to handle anything beyond smooth seas. read more

I found Contour Bridal doing a deep dive around the Sonoma County area for a team that could handle glam for myself, all my bridesmaids, two groomswomen, and my mother, step-mother, and mother in law. Immediately after reaching out, I heard from Taylor, who was so lovely and responsive throughout the whole process. I ended up having Jasmine do my hair and Masara do my make up! We did a trial beforehand and on the wedding day I had a couple tweaks, they both followed through making sure I was over the moon with how I looked. We also had Krista and Daejah on the day for extra hands and they both did amazing! We all felt so beautiful and can't thank the whole team enough!! read more

I loved working with Contour on my wedding day!! HMU was honestly the vendor I was most nervous about - I'm super particular about my makeup and highly considered doing it myself. I am SO glad that I did not and went with Contour instead!! Jasmine was my lead artist and she absolutely crushed it. She is a true artist. I want to particularly compliment her ability to take notes and adjust. After my trial, I definitely looked beautiful but didn't feel quite like myself. The morning of the wedding, I gave Jasmine my notes and thoughts, and without missing a beat she nailed EXACTLY what I wanted. I looked like the most perfect version of my regular makeup look. And she checked in with me as the look was coming together and made tiny tweaks and adjustments based on how it was looking so far. When all was said and done, I felt like a movie star (which was the vision!!) Plus, the morning getting ready with Contour and my girls was so fun and peaceful. (Jenn did HMU for my bridesmaids and my mom and they all looked STUNNING. Would be very confident recommending Jenn as well!) Jasmine and Jenn were so fun and positive and made us all feel so spoiled and pampered. My note to other brides would be: if you aren't 100% positive about your preview, don't worry! It's called a preview for a reason - as long as you are able to figure out what tweaks you want, Jasmine will execute them to a T and you will be absolutely stunning on your wedding day. I am so happy I went with Contour and Jasmine!! Thank you for making me feel like the most beautiful bride ever!!! read more

I hired Contour Bridal for our recent wedding. We had make up/hair from everyone to myself, the Bride, Moms of bride/groom, bridal party and my flower girls. While they are little bit pricey, it was definitely worth the extra. I felt like a million bucks! We had 3 stylist join at my mom's house with a detailed timeline of who went where and how long everything would take. They took our inspiration photos, added their experienced and it resulted in everyone loving their look. I can't thank them enough for their professionalism, proactive communication and excellent execution. read more

What can I say???? Taylor is a dream to work with. She's incredibly responsive and so helpful! Her entire team is SO talented. Jasmine and Masara were amazing to work with. So personable, fun, and talented! I've never felt so beautiful and my entire wedding party felt the same! Hands down my favorite vendor to work with. I'm sad it's over and I don't get to hang out with them anymore. You will not regret booking with contour bridal! read more

All the stars for Contour Bridal! What an incredible team! From the very beginning, Taylor made me feel so cared for, listened to, celebrated, and accommodated. She is a really special person and was very responsive and warm over text. She has clearly built an amazing team of artists. We had Tamra and Daejah on site for the wedding day. Tamra had come over for a trial and she really took my preferences into account. Daejah did a phenomenal job on my bridesmaids. I strongly recommend hiring this team for your hair and makeup needs. They were so easy and lovely to work with, and did really beautiful work. We all felt and looked GORGEOUS. Thank you Contour Bridal team!!! read more

Taylor is communicative, professional, super sweet! Though Taylor was unable to do my makeup, her team was there and did an amazing job. I felt beautiful, and the bridesmaids looked gorgeous! Contour Bridal is the way to go. Don't be nervous to reach out (I was). Everyone I worked with was super nice and did an amazing job! read more

Contour Bridal was great to work with! I am someone who is not very comfortable in make up and was afraid to not feel like myself on my wedding day. My friends and I have also been burned by over-the-top bridesmaid make up at past weddings, so I really did my due diligence when picking who would do our hair and make up! Taylor at Contour was so helpful from the get go, gave me tons of options of artists to choose from, and ultimately let me decide who I was most comfortable with. Vivian, our lead make-up artist, absolutely crushed it and totally understood when I said I wanted light, natural make up (in my experience, most times the make up is still super heavy). I was so happy with my hair and make-up and I'm so happy that I chose Vivian. Haley C, Melissa, and Haley M also did such a great job on my bridesmaids. No one snuck into the bathroom to remove their make-up afterwards which is the stamp of approval. Overall, we were all so happy and impressed. Thank you again! read more

We used Contour Bridal for our wedding a few weeks ago and are so happy we did!! Taylor is super responsive and sweet and so helpful with setting up trials and wedding day scheduling. I always felt in such good hands knowing she was handling those details. Taylor set me up with Daejah and Haley as our wedding day stylists. They were both so sweet and did an amazing job with our makeup!! Daejah worked on me personally and she did a perfect job capturing the vision I had. I have never before been comfortable with having my makeup done professionally as I usually feel like its too much but Daejah listened to what I wanted and created a natural look that I loved. All my bridesmaids and my mom also loved their makeup looks. Cannot recommend this team enough!! read more

I am so thankful that I found Contour, Taylor and, particularly Masara Valenzuela as my make up artist and Jacqueline Ramirez as my hair stylist. They did an amazing job not only with my makeup and hair, but also with my 7 bridesmaids with very different styles and types of hair! The first time I went in for a trial, Masara nailed it, making small adjustments as we discussed what I wanted to look like. However, the hair artist didn't quite feel like the right fit, so Taylor immediately paired me with Jacqueline and when I did a trial with her, she was so thorough, taking my hair fully down 2 or 3 times to make sure it was how I wanted it! Both were wonderfully responsive to feedback and just wanted me to feel my best on my wedding day! I would gladly recommend Contour, Masara and Jacqueline to anyone near Sonoma! P.S. Masara was not just amazing day-of, but was there for every beauty question I had over the course of my wedding planning (I am not a big make-up person) and she was so kind and responsive. Felt like I had a friend to rely on! read more

Taylor and her team were absolute gems to work with for our wedding! Jasmine did a phenomenal job on our hair and makeup and went above and beyond with helping us figure out what we wanted and exceeding our expectations (I have a lot of hair and can't get over how amazing it looked and how well it held up!). Taylor is amazing at keeping track of details and coordinating for a completely stress free process (especially when it comes to taking away all stress that could possibly pop up if someone were to get sick or cancel at the last minute, she's got it all under control and will absolutely deliver). Can't recommend Contour highly enough! read more

I truly truly truly cannot say enough about this team. We had 2-brides and 8-bridesmaids and a 2-others...it was seamless, fun, gorgeous, relaxing...everything you'd need this team to be, they were. The communication was incredible in the planning phase all the way through day-of. I truly cannot say enough. They are a dream-team. Taylor, Jasmine, Masara: THANK YOU THANK YOU. read more

As a COVID bride I put off finding hair and make-up artists until the last minute. With two months to go before my wedding I reached out to Taylor to see if she and her team could help. Right from the start Taylor helped to put me at ease and was so nice and helpful! Although Taylor was not available for my wedding, she has a full team of make-up artist and hairstylist which made it so convenient to find a team of 3 people to help 10 of us with hair and make-up on my wedding day. Masara was the lead make-up artist and was AMAZING!!! Not only is she an amazing artist but she is so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. It was like having another friend there on the wedding day. Jasmine was my hair stylist and worked magic on my pin straight hair that usually I can never get to hold a curl! I was so impressed by Jacqueline's ability to step in and switch between hair and make-up for multiple girls! All of my bridesmaids, mom and mom-in-law loved how it turned out. Many of them said it was the best and easiest make-up and hair experience as bridesmaids. To top it all off, we had guests ask after the wedding who did all our hair and makeup because they loved it so much and wanted to know who they could use in the future! I would without a doubt tell anyone who's getting married in Sonoma County to work with Contour Bridal! read more

Amazing! Taylor and Alisse were angels. My previous makeup and hair artists cancelled the night before my wedding and Taylor was quick and easy to work. I was about to have to do my own bridal makeup and hair the day of...I would have been so stressed if it wasn't for Alisse. Alisse adjusted her schedule and came the next day without notice and did way more than I ever expected. I felt gorgeous and my mom did too as Alisse did both of Our hair and makeup in 2 hours! These two ladies are professional and kind. I would not doubt for a second that they love their jobs and that they genuinely care for their clients. Thank you. I was on the fence about booking a pricier hair and makeup artist for my wedding since my needs were relatively simple and I didn't have a bridal party. However, I decided I wanted to be in the hands of a professional on my wedding day, and am very glad I used Contour! They were recommended to me by my wedding coordinator. Booking and communication were easy and reliable, and I was paired with an artist who matched my low-key tastes. I did a hair trial and she created a beautiful style that far exceeded my expectations. She was flexible and calm when we had a couple of timing snafus, too. Overall it was a great experience and I would certainly recommend booking with Contour! read more

Taylor was recommended to me for my wedding makeup and was not on my initial list of recommended providers. I was a little skeptical, but was so happy with my results! I realized that not only was her skill amazing, but she was very fun to work with. She made me, my MOH and my mother all look stunning. Any age and style she pulled off flawlessly!
