    Angry P.

I would give them no stars. My son has multiple health conditions and was referred to their Pain Management Department. To begin with their Department consists of one person, Sara Richey Lucero. I went with my son to the consultation and was appalled by the conduct of this individual. She is an older woman (71 years old) who was more than 45 minutes late in seeing him. She started off the exam by wanting details on his sex life. She wanted intimate details on my life, his father's s life, and brother's death. She also wanted to know about his work. Because of health conditions he has not been working. She chastised him stating that if people in wheelchairs can work there was no excuse for him not to work. She further stated that he was lucky he was not living on the streets and admonished me for allowing him to live in my home. I won't go into further detail but her questions and judgemental attitude were ethically inappropriate. She concluded the exam by stating that, regardless of what medical conditions may be involved, pain is purely psychiatric in nature and due to lack of exercise. She indicated that people with pain issues need to be treated with psychotherapy, acupuncture, and "herbal" treatment if you get my drift. I looked into her after the exam and will just say she should not be practicing in this area and is a hypocrite in her judgments. DO NOT GO TO THIS PROVIDER.

Kenny (my beloved pooch) broke my prescription sunglasses on 03/31/26. My vision has been declining…read morewhich is a sign my eye glass prescription may be up as well. This prompted me more urgently to see if my prescription was up. I checked the Kaiser app to see if the prescription was up and BINGO! It was . Makes sense I was having vision challenges. Anywho, I'm from Fresno and the earliest I can be be seen was end of June 2026. I definitely can't be waiting that long unfortunately as I need new glasses and prescription. Luckily we were headed to the Bay Area for Easter and Martinez had 1 appointment open for 4/2 at 3pm. I booked it immediately as it's not too far from the dudes grandmas house. We ran into some car trouble and gps said we won't be there until 3:45 pm. I called Kaiser and they recommended I reschedule. I am not taking no for an answer and I saw on their site they take walk ins. I let the advice line know. I think we can make it. We made it at 3:50pm. It took me a little to find the location but I found it. 4pm. I registered online and checked in with staff to let them know. YES I am about an hour late. Took accountability 100% . They asked Dr. Angela Wong if she will take me. The staff member said she is with a patient but will ask. A few minutes later they call me. They said Dr. Angela Wong is ready for me. I cry. Before I can walk back Dr. Wong greets me so warm and excited to see me. I can feel my body relax as she reassures me she will take me in. Dr. Angela Wong is an amazing soul. She is so warm, funny, exciting and just refreshing. I have had bad optometrist experiences growing up but she has healed my trauma from just by her being her. So understanding and very supportive! Do not give her up Kaiser at all. She is a GEM to the optometry world . We had a blast together in the appointment and made it go by so fast. She gave me words of encouragement as I let her know I'm getting married. It was like talking to a bestie! Seriously recommend her. She was surprised I came from Fresno but lack of availability had me come up North. I left with a new prescription and ordering my glasses this week! Thank you Dr. Wong . Systemic stress is real! And barriers too but she closed the gap. Highly recommend her!

To be clear, I know the COVID vaccine process is still underway so if you come here, their setup is extremely well organized and professional. They took something odd and a smidge intimidating and made it basically idiot-proof, which is greatly appreciated. So if you will be coming here for the Fauci ouchie, you are 100% in good hands! BUT - you might want to take an Uber to get here. There are two small lots for this facility but this facility was clearly never intended to manage dozens of people minute to minute. If you get a spot in one of the lots or the precarious parallel spots, consider yourself blessed. As for me, the first time I made multiple difficult loops around Allen before just giving up, heading down to the main roads around Alhambra and Berrellessa, and ended up illegally parking on Allen because I didn't want to be late. Luckily nothing happened, but I was illegally in front of a local's home and felt their eyeball wrath as I was leaving. The 2nd time I hoped for better but it was just as messy, so I planned ahead, wore athletic shoes, and parked many blocks away and hiked in. It was well worth it for the peace of mind, and not having to inconvenience locals who don't deserve to be inconvenienced because of this insanely unforeseen circumstance. A year from now this information will hopefully be largely irrelevant, but in the meantime, fair warning! Plan ahead, and manage your time well.

Came to be noon my appointment was at 10:50 and I started getting frustrated... noticed now everyone was on lunch in the back k... still haven't been called for my appointment. Apparently the front desk lady never said I was here and my phone check in didn't work!!! They all saw me sitting there for over an hour and never once asked me again about my appointment and I just assumed the wait was long + when the people before me were being called in they would say "we apologize for the wait.." I didn't want to be a pain and go up to ask how much longer either. Waste of time and money I don't have. All because I was trying to get a gosh darn Pap smear.. I'm so so so upset about that whole thing and I'm already not doing well as is. This whole situation was my life in a nutshell. No wonder I haven't wanted to go to the doctor the last 3 years because our health care system has gone to s***

We were happy with the care she received, that's why we brought her back again. First of all, it's a very clean facility, small and personal, but most of all great staff. The nurses my Mom had were professional & helpful. The CNA's were amazing. The ones I will mention were the very best. Mario, Smile, Rain, and one special CNA on swing shift named Michelle. Jessica on the weekends was also an excellent help with my Mom, Nursing director Teri was extremely helpful, always available to help. Vanessa social worker was also fantastic at assisting with so much. The physical therapists & occupational therapists were also great. I hope my Mom never has to go back, but if she ever did, Legacy would surely be our number 1 pick. Much love & thanks to the staff. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone "They're in a meeting and will call you back as soon as it's over" was the standare lie I was told. There was no set level of care at which my mother would be released so as long as they could bill for her she was stuck in a hostage situation. My mother's health declined horribly while here, she lost a lot of weight and she died a month after they FINALLY agreed to release her.

There were probably 1-2 other patients waiting in line. The front receptionist is nice. She is also the one standing as a med tech who tool my medical stat. She said I have to wait to be check in in order for me to know my Co pay turns out she run my card without telling me how much I will be paying for. They have a rapid test on me and because I have Kaiser I need to pay 125$ for the test result to be sent out. Crazy. I'm lucky I only have these symptoms and not major medical issue. She ordered X-rays and thought it may be a bacterial infection.. she wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. I do appreciate her. She was awesome. They do not have xray here. You must go elsewhere. X-rays came back clear. I started antibiotics. Good news! It seemed to work! My foot was getting better! I was already writing my 5 star review! Now for the bad, Then, after I stopped taking them, pain started getting worse again. Just need a refill so the rest of the infection goes away. To be clear the meds I am speaking of are used for acne and the like (bacteria). They are not pain meds or anything someone would want too much of. The app they have you use is not connected to a human and has been very frustrating. The app also allowed me to ask for a refill automatically with no response at all. They are not returning my phone call. I find this very unprofessional. It appears they won't help me at all until I make another appointment! Which of course costs $$$. I shouldn't have to make another appointment even virtual and pay you more money to show you the same thing. All that does is waste my time and money and double your profit. They were quick and convenient but not effective. I will go John Muir urgent care from now on. Rounded up to 3 stars because Madison figured it out.
