Wow, after hearing about it, I decided to go check out this place in Pomona. I found out they have several location and one of them was in Montebello so off I went to check it out. I'm planning on remodeling my kitchen and I don't want to spend a lot of money. This place has a pretty good selection of granite counter tops, cabinets, and floor material. The prices were good too. They even have info sheet for different types of material for you to take with. That was very handy since I didn't know exactly how many cabinets I wanted. The staffs were very friendly and always checking up on me unlike Home Depot. They don't have everything like Home Depot but they have the stuff I wanted at a good deal and they were in stock! read more

Was referred to HD Supply by a contractor and I must say, this place did not disappoint! HD had almost everything and prices are cheaper than your typical Lowes/Home Depot. Customer service here was on point. Robert spent over an hour helping us pick out everything for our garage renovation. He was knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining (he got jokes). All in all it is pretty desolate in here, not a whole lot of employees to help, but customer service is nice and attentive when you ask for it, not like a whole bunch of people telling you they are on break. The service here is horrible. I went in to buy some tiles and other stuff and they don't even bother to help or even know what they have. They are all clueless. Came out to the Montebello store due to the Pomona store being out of stock on the tile I needed. I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help with anything by three different associates. I was directed to the tile area where found exactly what I needed. I asked an associate who was walking by for assistance, she called for her coworkers to come help but said it would be a little while because they were very busy. All the sudden 3 guys from the receiving area showed up to help me! I responded with that was quick they said we know how busy it is and we just wanted to help!!! I was extremely disappointed at the store's service. Specially, (1) did not properly store my doors at the warehouse. When I received them, they all had sustained water damaged. (2) did not give the entire order when my contractor went to pick up the order, he have to return to pick up the closet sliding door that they forgot to give him with an additional trip. Great place, came here recently for the first time. Remodeling my home, and being new to DIY projects, all employees at HD supply was very helpful and knowledgeable with all my dumb question. I recently visited this location in need of some door handles and other miscellaneous supplies. After not finding enough of the design I liked, I consulted a young gentlemen working there. He brought his manager over and she went out of her way to get the items ordered and delivered to me as quickly as possible. After checking out, I was also offered help loading my items in to the car. Unlike other building supply stores where it takes forever just to find someone to help you, the service offered at this store is quick and efficient. Was looking to upgrade my kitchen cabinets, was recommend to visit HD supply by a friend. Since the one in Long Beach was closer decided to go there. Boy was that a disaster, took about 10 minutes to find someone that could help me. After that he had no idea what was in stock. I also bought some tile floor and while I was loading about 20 boxes worth (each box weighing at least 15-20 pounds) they guy easily 15 years younger than me just watched me while loading them pushed the cart out to my car and not until I asked him to help load them into my truck did he mention he couldn't because his back was bad oh boy. Only good thing done by them was recommending HD supply in Montebello. Completely different story, from the moment I walked in was greeted and asked what I needed. Told Jaime (the manager) and he did the rest. What color what measurements everything so easy and fast he got couple of guys to load all 9 kitchen cabinets to my truck. Last year we remodeled our guest bathroom. Bought all my cabinets there and everything went without a hitch. This year I decided to go back to purchase same cabinets for my laundry room so they could match. I purchased everything. I signed for curbside delivery. Not a problem. They failed to tell me that they would not be bring it inside the house. The delivery guys show up and my husband goes out there, and they tell him "your stuff is over there, by the garage" Over on the side of the house were no one can see them. Except someone who could steal them. My husband did not have anyone at home to help him bring in one 5 foot cabinet and a tall utility cabinet. the delivery guy became very combative with my husband. My husband would not sign and the delivery guy told him "well you will be double if we have to come back!" My husband responded and told him "I don't think so" and the guy again wouldn't stop arguing with my husband. My husband turned around and went back inside the house and called me again. I called HD Supply and spoke to Jaime, the store manager. Although he was nice I explained to him, they need to make it very clear about what "curbside" means. Had I known they meant, they are leaving it on the curb for us to fend for ourselves, I would have made arrangements for my son to be there. The delivery guy was very unprofessional and again, very combative. When I made arrangements for delivery, the gal specifically told me "make sure there is nothing blocking when they bring the cabinets in". That doesn't sound to me like they were going to leave the cabinets on the curb! The store manager Jaime and I went back and forth. I called corporate, spoke with a lady who was nice but you know when you can hear in someone's voice that all they are doing is letting you vent? Well that is how our conversation went. She did not seem interested in how the delivery guy acted. It was a 3rd party. I returned EVERYTHING AND I AM OUT THE DELIVERY FEE OF $165.00. Which I am sure the delivery company still received. I will never go back to HD Supply based on my experience at the Montebello store. read more

formerly contractor's warehouse selection of stuff isn't as varied as home depot, but when have you ever needed to decide between 7 different brands of spackle? they have a selection that ranges from what you'd see in a cheap apartment to a mid/high end house. their prices are lower than home depot, and most of their stuff is in stock. i was able to get 6- 8 foot patio sliders delivered to the job site in 3 days. they weren't the cleanest doors i've ever seen, but they were about $900 cheaper than home depot! they have tool rentals, too. and most of it looks as if it's more heavy duty than the DIYer stuff they rent at home depot. don't know how their prices compare, though. and since they cater to mostly contractors, they're busier in the AM, pretty deserted in the afternoons. their staff is really helpful, too! read more

After visiting pomona to find out the rental machine was broken, we asked if he could see if another store had it, we were told to call ourselves...WE called montebello and Nick double checked and reserved the machine for us. First we are greeted by a very nice employee Frrnando Hoffens who offered to escort me and my mother to the kitchen sink department, explained thoroughly the difference sink materials, loaded the sink for us and answered all our questions on flooring and doors.
