03/21/2026 I recently bought a 40 gallon Rheem Gas Water Heater with a 9 year warranty got it for a good price $759 The workers helped me load it into my SUV. I called a local plumber and got the water heater installed for $300 parts and labor. My previous water heater was a Bradford White that was over 20 years old. This water heater produces Hot Water very amazingly quick!!! This water heater gets 5 Stars. Here's the -1Star part of this review I contacted the Home Depot installation company they wanted $1100 plus $192 for a permit. I don't need NO DAMN Permit their contractor's is a freaking damn ripoff. Do they think I have a Money Tree that I can put off $1100 for Labor? They can go take a F-ing jump into a bottomless hole. read more

Came here with my boyfriend while he was on the hunt for a specific tool, and luckily we were able to find it pretty quickly. We stopped by later in the evening and the store wasn't busy at all, which I really appreciated because it made the whole experience feel calm and easy to navigate. While my boyfriend was debating between a few different options, I wandered around the nearby aisles and the checkout area. They definitely know how to tempt shoppers over there! I spotted some really cool table lamps on display and they also had a nice selection of house plants that caught my eye. The employees we encountered were also friendly, which made the visit feel welcoming even though we were just browsing for the most part. Even though I didn't end up buying anything this time, I was definitely tempted. Next time I come back I'd love to take some time to explore the garden section too. Between the decor, plants, and garden area, I can easily see myself returning to browse and maybe bring a few things home. read more

Came here to find smoke/carbon monoxide detectors for my parents. Plus, we were in the area. Parking and location was simple and the warehouse is huge. There were many to choose from and a lot of them were locked behind a gate of some sort. There was a QR code to scan if we needed assistance so I thought that was awesome! We were looking for a battery operated detector and asked if the dual detector would pass hone inspections. We also went on blind faith that the staff provided for us in regards to the battery lasting 10 years. Came home, opened the box to install and found out it needed to be hardwired in. Phenomenal Customer Service at their Christmas Tree lot. This review is short but necessary. I went by myself to get a Christmas tree at Home Depot. They had plenty of trees to choose from. The trees were looked fresh and were not dried out. The staff who was there was very helpful. They happily took my tree to the for me to prepare it. I came back after I paid and was ready to schedule the delivery of the tree because I was unable to lift the tree and tie it down in my own. I asked them if they would tie it to the top of my car and they said yes. The process is easy. There is a drive up lane that is easy to see and clearly marked. You drive up and they secure your tree with care to the top of your vehicle. They made tree shopping pleasant and the quality of service beats their competition. I hope they are there next year. I highly recommend getting your tree from them. The prices are reasonable and the service deserves 10 stars! read more

I want to share my experience so others can be aware when purchasing items from this location. I purchased an electric tankless water heater from this store. Two days later, I returned it because my plumber informed me that I had purchased the wrong model. The box had never been opened the tape was still intact with no rips, tears, or cuts. When I came back to return the item, the cashier opened the box and claimed there was water inside the unit. They told me it had been used and refused to accept the return. I was very surprised because I had never opened or used the product. Being accused of using the item was very upsetting. I asked to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived, she initially repeated the same claim that the unit had been used. I explained that I had just purchased it two days earlier and had not opened the box at all. They also told me that I should have opened the box in the store to check the product before purchasing it, which I found unreasonable. Eventually, the manager checked the product code in their system. It appeared that the item may have been a previous return. After checking, she processed the refund but did so without any explanation or apology. This experience was very frustrating and unprofessional. Customers should not be accused of using a product when the issue may have come from the store selling a previously returned item without properly checking it first. I recommend double checking items carefully if you shop at this location. read more

Today I came to the Home Depot in Monterey Park and I was impressed. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a staff member who immediately offered assistance. As I continued walking through the store, two more employees also asked if I needed help. We've really come a long way from how things used to be, I notice the improvement. Although I didn't need help at the time, it felt good to know that attentive and helpful staff were available if I did. When I got to the register, I was greeted and helped by someone I believe was named Sarah. She was fantastic !!!!! great attitude and excellent customer service. I was struggling a bit due to pain in my arm, and she didn't hesitate to take ownership of the situation. She offered to scan the items for me and made the checkout process smooth and easy. Quality/Quantity - Consistent, my DIY place. Atmosphere - Well, it took a while before I got my footing and figured out where everything I needed was. Day 1 took a long time... But after 4 straight days, I now know the place like the back of my hand. Crazy busy mall, so I just park in the back and walk. Open 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday from 6am to 10pm, Sunday from 7am to 8pm. Service - 3 days had good service, 1 day had a rude cashier working the contractors register, see my Yelp tip. The good news is that I usually don't let 1 rude person ruin my experience and usually do not count it against the business. Price - I don't check, reasonable prices for good quality products. Amazing return policy. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1978, now with 2312 locations and growing. Ranked #5 (2020) on the Fortune 500. ** Kid's Workshop Review ** I love that they do community events, perfect for the little kids to have some fun activities. You can sign up online, it happens first Saturday each month, starts at 9 am, while supplies last. My baby girl who's 2 and half has gone about three times now and she loves it. You can work on your project there or take it home. They have a little area blocked off for the kids to make their projects. There is also a few staff monitoring and assisting. If the project you signed up for is not available, they always have backup projects for your little ones to pick. Parking for this location is a bit tough since it's right next to Costco. But after you circle a few times, you would be able to find a spot. Highly recommend taking your kids here! Oh! Also, they give out these cute little Home Depot aprons. read more

I'm back. Regarding my order with HD, which was to be delivered on Saturday 03/01/2025 between 2:00PM TO 6:00PM. I really hate to give such a bad review, after the great service I received from Rosie when I purchased my merchandise. I had an appointment early on Saturday decided to get my car washed then to go a nice breakfast as I was leaving the restaurant I received a text stating that they weren't able to deliver my order and to contact them to reschedule. I was completely confused as my order wasn't scheduled till 2PM. Without going into full details with a lot of back and forth. This is what happened. Well apparently the I did not know that HD hires 3rd party delivery people (like uber and Lyft), whomever placed the order put in the wrong code for a larger vehicle. Hence, the individual who showed up, their vehicle was too small for my package. But heck it was only 11:30AM. So I called HD customer service dept. mind you the staff were extremely nice and understanding. They rescheduled my delivery between 4:00PM to 6:00PM. I thought great it will still get here today & was no issue because the person that was coming to put it together was arriving early Sunday morning to put it together. Fast forward to 5:20PM, still no call from the driver. Why because they told me they would call 30 minutes prior to delivery. So I called them. Now they stated that they attempted to deliver. What does that mean attempted. I was home all afternoon and with the door open my driveway ready so they park there and put it into the garage. Well the lady in the phone said yes no one was home. I immediately told her that's a lie I can see from the front door as well as hear everything with the door open. So sent put me hold for a while and a bit later I saw another call coming in from Home Depot I was going to switch over but decided not to as I was still on hold. Than a few seconds later they picked up the line and she said can I help you, I said I was on hold because someone is supposed to explain why my order did not deliver today. She said that was me. As we spoke she said a voicemail was left on your phone and that I was notified. As she was speaking I did not see a voicemail. So I gave it sometime to come as we were speaking. And still nothing. I asked when was that message left and to please check my order details. She said just a little bit ago. I said are telling me as I was on hold you called the leave a voicemail knowing that I was already on hold. She replied ughhhh. So between this morning and now no one bothered to call me directly to advise me of the non-delivery. She couldn't say much. I expressed just how upset I was with them and their untruths and trying to cover it up. So I drove my 2 miles to HD and got a refund. I will take my business to Lowe's. I never received bad service there. Never again will I buy anything that needs to delivered from Home Depot. For that matter maybe not buy anything of substantial value period. I'm done read more

After waiting for 15 minutes in the designated department, I asked another employee for help and he laughed saying he'll send someone over. I waited another 15 minutes and went off to like for someone else. That person said let me send someone over as well. They can't answer any questions because they don't know what they are doing. Stopped by for paint and had the worse experience. I had no idea about buying paint or what I needed for maybe 4 feet wooden boards. I asked the cashier with long black hair that's up to her waist. I didn't get her name unfortunately. She had long thick lashes. She was VERY RUDE! I asked her about the paint sizes they had so I had somewhat of a clue of what I needed. She immediately answered in such a rude tone "Uh theyre right over there." With no context no direction just sending me away. I unfortunately had to look for it on my own because she was extremely so rude and very unprofessional about it. I noticed she was also giving attitude to the customer before me. My husband was recently there buying cement bags, he got there just in time before they closed that department but before purchasing a pallet full of cement bags he asked the cashier if he was still in time to purchase them, long story short he paid & they forgot to take the cement bags to his truck had him waiting for more than an hour outside in the parking lot by his truck & when he kept asking they kept telling him to wait by his truck AGAIN!! When the guy took out the pallet with the forklift he mentioned it was the first time they got told him about having to take the pallet outside. Point is they need to do a better job because their customer service sucks! My husband got upset & just asked for his money back, it was till THEN when they decided it was time for them to help him! I went to get an estimate for kitchen cabinets as they were having a 40% sale on cabinets which I would have paid 6500 for cabinets alone. It cost $199 for the installer to go out to measure. I asked what the usual estimate was for demo and for installation, but no one could give me an answer until I paid the $199. Their contracted company came back with 2k to demo and 15k installation for a small kitchen. I decided to go with another contractor who would create custom cabinets for 10k and 500 to demo and haul trash. Home Depot is contracting with the wrong companis. read more

Then this other gentleman approached me when i was doing a return and started to harass me saying that they took a picture of my work truck! I hope the store manager looks into their employee named Dimitri. He was extremely rude to my dad and unprofessional. My dad wanted right make 2 copies of a key. Dimitri has a serious attitude problem. He never smiled, he was constantly on texting on his cell phone while my dad was trying to get his keys out from his key chain. When my dad asked him the price of certain keys, he responded like he was interested in helping him. I rented a floor sander thinking I was going to save time and money. Thinking I should be done in 4 hours. As soon as I got home 20 minutes into sanding the floor the sander broke. I called Home Depot rentals and they said bring it back which I did. I explained to them what happened they gave me another sander. I finish my project that day. When I took the sander the following day. The clerk was telling me they're going to charge me $350 for damage. I asked to speak to a manager when she arrived they said they could discount $100 but I still had to pay $250 and on top of that before renting the sander. I payed $25 for damage insurance. They said the insurance only covers the extension cord. (lol) .They had my card on record and at the end I ended paying for the damage. So please make sure you triple check there tools before renting anything. I learn my lesson I'm never going to Home Depot again. read more

Worst Home Depot I have ever been. Associates are either wandering around or chatting in groups. They look at you with audacity if you dare ask for help. I asked more than a handful of people. All were annoyed to be asked. How dare I ask them. They literally said, " I don't know", " I can't help you", "not sure" or shrug and walk away! Really just over the top rudeness by so many employees make me question management. When I finally got a manager to help me, she asked yo to give her a great review!!!! What? Why don't you at least apologize or acknowledge your lack of ability to manage your team before asking me to give you kudos? 6 people told me they did NOT have a product that they DID HAVE in stock. I checked the website and found it but they could not be bother to either check on website or tell me where it was in the store. I guess making Tik tocks on the job is more important than helping a customer. I also found product later at Walmart for significantly less cost. Avoid frustration and go to Lowe's or a different Home Depot. read more

This review is for the short Hispanic female manager with a pink mask and the male staff with glasses at the self-check-out on the 6/28/24 morning shift. I always buy the 5-gallon bottle of water at Home Depot, however a lot of time they have the shortage of water for sale. So I usually go in and check to make sure that they have the water first before I go to my car to bring in the empty bottles to exchange the bottles. Just like a normal routine, I did the same today. This male staff was looking at the door when I went right in with the empty bottles in the shopping cart. After I loaded my water into the cart to pay, I requested this male staff to help me to scan them. Then the Hispanic short female manager jumped right in and said "let me". She wanted to charge me the water for the full price without the empty bottles to exchange. I said I put two empty bottles in that cage. She raised her voice and said "WHEN". I told her to check the security camera footage, but she did not. Instead, she asked that male staff if I had put the empty bottles, and he said no. I explained that he had looked at me I entered the store. He then responded with something along the lines of "I guess that's what he said." Later, the short Hispanic manager instructed me to leave the empty bottles in the cart before paying next time. In my opinion, this particular employee has a poor attitude towards customers and tells lies. The male staff member also seems to be neglecting his duties. read more
