okay let's start from the beginning... well to start off…read morethey call to conform 3days in advance and if you don't answer or call back they'll automatically cancel your appointment. when I got to the office and walked in it smelt like straight up armpits it was so bad I literally wanted to walk back out. Then I had to fill out the forms again even though they text you a link to fill out forms ahead of time so basically you're doing double work. In the office they have one sofa and one chair so you're sitting really close to random people and that's awkward AF. They should take that damn sofa out and put chairs they'll be able to sit more people instead of having them standing all around the office waiting. I was also looking around at my surroundings and that office would definitely not pass a white glove test that shit was gross. I can only imagine how many germs are in that damn office and on all those toys in the play area for the kids barf . Then the wall where the front desk girls sit looked so unattractive with all those scuff marks from their chairs and I don't understand how there's scuff marks if that damn desk is pushed to the middle of the office and leaves them all this empty space behind them. What they should do is push that damn desk back to make more room in the office to add more chairs for their clients all that space behind them is unnecessary. I can't tell you what they're restroom was like because I never want in there I was already grossed out with everything else. Okay now to the exam as I was watching them do my kids teeth cleaning. Not once did I see them grab a brush and scrub their teeth first then do all that other magic with the instruments. They just went straight in with the instrument to check the teeth. They didn't even floss the teeth after they just polished them and asked if I wanted them to get fluoride. I felt like it was a half ass job. My kids previous dentist did a whole lot more during they're cleanings and gave them a bag with a new toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste afterwards. I think I might just go back to that dentist. I was just trying to find a new dentist that was closer to home than the other one that's across town, but I rather waste gas and be stuck in traffic just to get a better experience, a cleaner office, more space, and way better vibes from all the employees. Starting with the front desk people to the back employees to the providers to the clients that go in there literally everyone just has good vibes it literally feels like everyone is good friends. Well thats all I got I hope this helps new clients make a good choice and I hope this office takes my review serious and actually tries to do better. I wish them the best of luck because I know starting a new business isn't easy I been there.

All my kids enjoy their visits for cleanings and the dentists and techs are top notch. Reception is also friendly and easy to deal with they take a wide range of insurance, including more complicated scenarios like my dual coverage. The entire facility is kept immaculately clean, which I can't say for all dentists in San Antonio! They do not do dental surgery at this site and will refer you to outside dental surgeons for root canals and more complicated procedures. Their waiting room was recently revamped. They now have six arcade racing games as well as Playstation 3 setups and 4K televisions showing kids movies. The movies are also shown in the exam areas which is nice while waiting. Speaking waiting, the only downside to this place is in the afternoon the wait times are pretty absurd. One appointment can keep you sitting around for two hours, but this is not always the case. Today my twins shared a biannual cleaning appointment and we were in and out in less than an hour. The kids get to pick out an inexpensive toy after their appointment and are given an electric toothbrush free of charge. The toys are better than the average quarter machine trinkets I've seen at other children dentists. I was not offered a toy after my adult visit. :) The receptionist told me that on busy afternoons during the school year they order in complimentary pizza for those waiting. With some longer wait times, that seems like a nice touch.

What can I say?! An office manager and dentist with NO ethical standards and disregard for their…read moreclients. My family of 4 have been going to Ivy Lane for 5-6 years. My father was military, I went to Cole, so of course, we were seen across the street! Fast forward to the summer. I am a college student with Tricare Young Adult Prime. Dr Westerberg extracted all four of my wisdom teeth and I opted for the sedative. The procedure went very smoothly. Here is the trouble, the office charged Tricare $1400. Of course right? Why not charge an insurance company the full of amount possible? I paid the out of pocket expense of $500. To my unfortunate knowledge, I lost my dental coverage because of my age. My balance was around 900. I had asked if there was anyway possible that I could get a discount for paying all cash for the remaining balance. The office manager only offered my 5%. 5%??!?! The average cost for a single tooth extraction is 150 per tooth. That's a 600 procedure. I was charged $350 per tooth. I explained to the office manager that I was a unemployed college student in my senior year , my father just had a heart attack, can not work, and just retired after serving 23 years in the army . . . basically that I am a broke college student with a copious amount of student loans. I told her that my family and I had been loyal customers and that I needed honest help because the money would come from my account for school books. The most Westerberg was willing to discount me was 10% . . . .and that was off the balance I already had, NOT the total amount charged to the INSURANCE COMPANY. It just really frustrates me that a dentist office would treat a loyal patient that way. A doctor has the option to not charge anything or offer work at a discount! Insurance companies have corrupted America and the hearts of practitioners and this a prime example. If you get the chance to read this, I hope the office staff knows that they not only lost a loyal customer, but also a family, and a copious amounts of potential clients. Trust me, I am in PR and I definitely know how the market operates. And, if you are considering getting work here, I do not have the right to criticize the work of Dr. Westerberg and his staff, but his ability to uphold any ethical standard and sympathy for his patients.
