Text sent to me Friday confirming appointment on Monday.
    L g.

Appointment scheduled out 6 months in advance. Received numerous text messages confirming appointment. Show up 10 minutes prior to appointment for them to tell me they can't see me. They had sent a text to reschedule the Thursday before followed by a text to complete paperwork and again to confirm appointment all on Thursday. It was past operating hours when I was free to call and had planned to do so the following day. Coincidentally, Friday morning I received another text to confirm my appointment (which I did). All in all I received 8 text messages to confirm appointment. Office was polite but said those were automated and they couldn't be turned off. Completely wasted an afternoon for an appointment they kept telling me I had and if I didn't cancel or show up I would be charged a fee. Short story long, they make it very clear if you do not give them 48 hour notice they will charge you a penalty but when they are unable to live up to their confirmed appointments you are out of luck. Completely unprofessional and relying on automated texts that are misleading.

This is a great dental office. Very clean and I'm always seen on time. Dr Edwards and his staff are the sweetest!

Dr Edwards put two new porcelain crowns on them, had the crowns modified in the front to even out my smile, and they look great!

I'm glad I checked Yelp before going into a closer dentist! I went in today for an overdue, routine…read morecheck up. I did all of my intake paperwork, the front desk lady was super nice and helpful, the hand sanitizer they had was a nice brand of hand sanitizer (that gives a LOT when you pump too!), there was only one other person in the sizeable waiting room, the front desk lady also watched my bike for me, and the dental assistant and dentist were both so kind and walked me through everything they were doing/were going to do. Sadly I only remember the name of the dental assistant (Crystal), wish I could name everyone who helped me! I didn't have to wait long (I did arrive early to do first time patient paperwork), x-rays were over fast, Crystal also sanitized the lead vest after I used it, and the dentist was in shortly after and explained my x-rays to me. I was supposed to be in just for an x-ray first, but because they had time they asked if I just wanted to knock out my cleaning then and there! The cleaning was fast and thorough - I felt/heard Crystal polish EVERY individual tooth, and then after she rinsed my teeth she went back over teeth that still had stains! I had HEAVY stains, being a smoker and a "drink coffee all day" person. After Crystal, the dentist also took two other tools over my problem spots! Waiting for the dentist to come back in was maybe the longest wait, wasn't even that long - maybe ten minutes? And keep in mind this is already extra so I have no complaints! They also spent extra care on my "hard to reach" area, Aka where my bottom permanent retainer sits. After they were done, they asked if I had any questions and they answered all of them honestly and backed them up with facts so I understood. I also got a goodie bag of a toothbrush, small dental floss container, and travel sized toothpaste. Then I was walked to the front, made my 6-month follow up appointment (they also gave me a card with the date and time of it plus their address and phone number), and was out. All in all, took maybe an hour and a half. Location is also easy to find! My insurance (Tricare prime) covered everything, too.

There was a constant theme of failing to disclose important information to me, lack of empathy, and…read moreDr. Taylor was rude at times. After spending thousands of dollars at this office, I was never treated like a valued customer. -Crown Delivery (Nightmare) I went in the office for the delivery of my crown on #31. I was in pain the moment the assistant started to take off my temporary crown. Dr. Taylor then gave me a series of injections to numb me. Those injections were ineffective and I still felt severe pain while the assistant prepped my tooth. This led to clear frustration and mistreatment by Dr. Taylor. I spent 2 hrs at this appointment for the crown delivery and I was in pain the entire time. The lack of empathy, poor explanation and flat out rude response to my questions by Dr. Taylor destroyed my confidence in this dentist office. -Failure to Receive Treatment Plan The dentist failed to give me my treatment plan after my initial visit. I had to ask several times for my plan before I received it. Once I received my treatment plan I was shocked because it contained several treatments that were not discussed in the initial appointment. I was initially told I needed 2 root canals and to replace an old dental bridge. Turns out there was several cavities, a deep cleaning and a crown needed on #31, I was never made aware of. No one in the office made any effort to go over my plan or asked if I had questions regarding the treatment plan when it was finally handed to me. -Failure to Disclose Crown Materials I was not given the option to choose my crown material for #30. I was told they would be using porcelain and did not think about the possibility of other options being available. I received my treatment plan after getting the temporary crown on #30, the price was crazy expensive and no one at the office went over it with me so I started researching online all the different treatments. I learned there are several types of crown materials with different cost and durability. I asked the dentist at my following appointment if I could get the rest of my crowns in a different material. He then advised me on the 3 other material types I could choose from. I determined porcelain was not the best option for me and chose a different material for the remaining crowns. Why was I not given the option to choose my crown material in the first place? -Failure to Disclose Cost of Crown I went in one day for a root canal on #12, but I decided I wanted to finish the crown on #30 before starting #12. They placed a temporary crown on #30 and told me to come back in 3 weeks for the final crown. When I went to check out I was hit with a $400 bill for the crown that no one disclosed to me prior to the work being started. -Deep Cleaning Consent Form & -Failure to Go Over My Chart Prior to my deep cleaning I was told to sign a consent form stating "I understand I have periodontal gum disease". I was very confused because I was never told I had a gum disease. When I asked the assistant to clarify, she asked me " did the dentist show you the screen of how all your teeth look and go over it with you". I told her no he did not. The dentist then reviewed my chart with me and determined I do NOT have periodontal gum disease. Why did I have to sign a consent form stating something that is NOT true in order to receive the deep cleaning treatment? Why did the dentist not go over my chart with me in the initial appointment? Based on my experience I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stopping when I winced in discomfort - even offering dulling medication when I didn't even know that was an option, making my cleaning that less stressful!! Turns out the dentist isn't that scary!! The staff in the front took the time to explain paperwork, going over prices when I asked a billion questions, which trust me - I had. We attempted to re-schedule, not cancel, appts for my wife and daughter but they insisted that we pay a $35 cancelation fee for each. We weren't canceling, but rescheduling due to our dog having surgery and daughter having a test at school. We have never had a problem rescheduling in the past. They didn't budge on the fee, so we have decided to pay the fees and take our business elsewhere. It seems like the customer service and professionalism within this office has gone downhill over the last year or so. If you're willing to lose 4 long time patients over a $35 fee, well then we don't need you either. The only thing we will miss about this office is the hygienist, Brenda. Thank you Brenda for always providing exceptional service over the years, we will miss you. When Dr Barber and Dr Thusu were there, this office was great. Things have gone downhill ever since they left.

I keep my mouth fairly clean and haven't had mouth pain for 4 years. 2 weeks ago one of my fillings fell out. It's not painful, but the edges are sharp against my tongue. I called Oasis up and made an appointment to fix my filling. They already have my records, and maybe I'd get back into the habit of regular cleanings. They saw me 2 days after my filling fell out. Awesome. I go to my appointment. They take xrays and ask me questions about the severity of my missing filling. I've got no pain, it just needs to be replaced. They say they don't have time to fix it today and that I need another appointment. Apparently it'll take an hour. I was hoping to get it done, but no biggie. They can see me in a week. I take time off work to get my filling replaced. On my way out of my neighborhood they call and tell me they're pushing me back. Ok. Things happen. I get seated in a room 15 minutes after my appointment. Now my blood pressure is 2 points too high. They use one of those cheap electronic BP cuffs. I'm sitting in this dentist chair hoping my BP drops so I can get this work done that I tried to schedule a week and a half ago. They take my blood pressure 2 more times with the cheap cuff, tell me a few things about ADA regulations, and boot me out the door. I worked in healthcare. When a cheap BP cuff reads high, usually someone takes a manual pressure which is more accurate. I was 2 points high, probably at least partly caused by them delaying my appointment and now they won't treat me. If you didn't want me as a patient because I stopped routine cleanings 4 years ago, have the decency to tell me and not waste my time at 2 appointments. You could have told me last week that I should find a new dentist and I would have understood. Dr Galles may be an ok dentist but he is not an ok person.
