The Best Ice cream! I have never had anything else there but whenever I am near and it is warm I get an ice cream cone.

This might just be my favorite grocery store in existence…read more Everything I could ever need is in between this four wall, two story building. This co-op in Skagit is filled with healthy alternatives, fresh produce, and even a juice/coffee/snack bar serving up some delicious bites. I found a number of local products and beers to buy from the grocery side, and a mushroom sandwich. I cannot properly describe the deliciousness of this sandwich - you just had to be there. I also loved that the co-op's second story is filled with the most unique home and gift items you'll find. Everything is sustainable first, and they even have a decent book selection. Couldn't imagine a better place to spend my Saturday, just wish I lived closer so I could visit every weekend.

It's a neat grocery store with fresh build-your-own sandwich options, bakery treats, gifts and trinkets, wines, and a lot more. We ordered sandwiches from the kiosk where it prints a ticket to bring to the counter. You can purchase other items with your sandwich, too. We had ordered two pineapple conchas from the dessert case for a post-lunch dessert. The veggies on the sandwich were so fresh it hit the spot for a light midafternoon meal. There is an upstairs seating area, it's really quiet and private. After we ate our lunch, we looked at some trinkets in the gift shop that's upstairs too. It truly has it all!

She deserves all the praise. Yesterday I took a drive to LaConner (I live about 45 minutes away) because I needed to clear my head not because of what's going on in the world but due to a situation with other tenants where I live. Of course with the COVID19 closures and stay home orders it's hard to take a drive, but I had a tension headache for days that was on the verge of skipping into a migraine (even while in La Conner I had to take some anti-nausea medicine), my stress was at its limit, and I needed to get out. I wasn't thinking clearly, I just DROVE! My drive took me to La Conner where at 40, I can say I had not been there since I was a kid. I enjoyed strolling around the ghost town and just being out of my duplex for a moment. The fresh air helped my stress, which helped my head. The peacefulness of the passage healed me in many ways. But then my bladder attacked me. The public bathrooms were closed, due to COVID everything was closed -- which I knew could happen -- all La Conner closed except this store. Upon walking in I inquired about a bathroom, and was told no, absolutely no bathrooms for the public. I told them my story, the headache, the weird people I share a duplex with, how far from home I was, and asked if they knew of any other store or even a gas station in the general area that had a one... eventually Leeann just let me use the bathroom. Except she got in trouble for it. She should not have, she was only doing the HUMAN THING... she was being a GOOD PERSON, a KIND & CARING, COMPASSIONATE PERSON. I don't know if they will read this, but with everything going on in the world I know everyone need to be more careful than ever, but we also need compassion and to help and care for one another. We need more Leeanns in this world.
