Five months ago, on a Saturday or Sunday, my boyfriend and I had lunch at The Baked Cafe. The burgers were good, the buns were mediocre, and the fries were outstanding. The meal was over $40, without drinks. The owner was the only person working. After reading other reviews, we expected a wait, but over a half hour was excessive. There are only two booths, and we were lucky to get one. Because of this, you may end up taking your food to go or eating outside. I left a honest review after our experience, and the owner responded (more like reacted) quite unprofessionally. He mentioned Wednesdays; we were not there on a Wednesday. He mentioned that if we prefer "nutty" (it's Nutty's) or "five guy" (it's Five Guys), that he "felt sorry" for us. Well, I won't feel sorry for him when his business fails.

This is a place where you order and pay at the bar, then find yourself a seat. It's not fancy, it's not upscale, but it's solid with good food and brews. The service was friendly and competent, but young and a touch overly enthusiastic (I'm not fond of being repeatedly called "my man" - not so much because it's excessively familiar - which it is, but because the enthusiastic repetition of the phrase at every chance is a bit forced and formulaic).

I opted for pesto because it's a bit more unique compared to the everything bagel seasoning, and it was very flavorful. The cashier told me the pesto is her favorite and that it is more flavorful than the everything cragel, but the everything cragel is more popular. The cragel is quite buttery and soft. A slight miss is that the price is fairly high ($5.25) for something that is not too substantial, and while flavorful, the cragel lacked the crispness / flakiness that you'd expect from a croissant.
