Five months ago, on a Saturday or Sunday, my boyfriend and I had lunch at The Baked Cafe. The burgers were good, the buns were mediocre, and the fries were outstanding. The meal was over $40, without drinks. The owner was the only person working. After reading other reviews, we expected a wait, but over a half hour was excessive. There are only two booths, and we were lucky to get one. Because of this, you may end up taking your food to go or eating outside. I left a honest review after our experience, and the owner responded (more like reacted) quite unprofessionally. He mentioned Wednesdays; we were not there on a Wednesday. He mentioned that if we prefer "nutty" (it's Nutty's) or "five guy" (it's Five Guys), that he "felt sorry" for us. Well, I won't feel sorry for him when his business fails.

The pub had three distinct seating areas: outside in the courtyard, outside under a deck (sheltered, with transparent vinyl sheeting to block the wind, and inside. This is a place where you order and pay at the bar, then find yourself a seat. It's not fancy, it's not upscale, but it's solid with good food and brews. The service was friendly and competent, but young and a touch overly enthusiastic (I'm not fond of being repeatedly called "my man" - not so much because it's excessively familiar - which it is, but because the enthusiastic repetition of the phrase at every chance is a bit forced and formulaic).

My husband, Mike, had the biscuits and gravy to which he gave a HUGE thumbs up. He frequently orders this dish and is generally disappointed; saying it's more like paste. I have told him to stop ordering it, but at Cama Beach Cafe, Coree (our server), said the Cafe's version was amazing. She was right! The Biscuit & Gravy was created with wild mushroom & silvana meats savory sausage gravy, on top of the homemade, buttery biscuit add two eggs for $3 which is very popular! And it was. I ordered extra crisp bacon and eggs with a Cama Cafe-made biscuit. I'm very particular about my biscuits (raised in the south) and was also very pleased. Plus, the homemade berry jam was extraordnary!!! Also, I wanted to say that Coree was absolutely 5-star!She was smiling, laughing, and providied excellent recommendations about what to order.
