We laughed and he asked what happened. When I told him the tale, he said "wow I'm sorry that happened, do you still have the car I would love to make it right?" I told him I didn't, and he added, "anything wrong with the new one?" I didn't think too much of it, but he brought it up again the next time I saw him and handed me a number to his service rep and said to make a list of all the things wrong with it and we'll figure it out. I received a "Monopoly" prize flyer from Cook Ford. When I opened the game card, the symbols revealed a $2,000.00 dollar cash prize. I read everything including the fine print but it appeared I won since the odds were 1 in 80k. I took the flyer in and Joe came up to help me. He immediately avoided the flyer and proceeded to hard sell me on selling my car to them and or buying one. I told him I was in the market for another suv like mine or a Tundra truck for towing. He was very pushy and kept trying to tell me I could tow with something else. I told him I didn't want something else. I could tell by his tone that he was not happy I wasn't just wanting to take his word and buy whatever he suggested. Horrible service. Had my under-warranty oil change on my vehicle (13000) miles on it. When I got back home, I noticed medium to large oil spots on my driveway coming from under the F-150 King Ranch. Apparently the "technician" either left the drain plug loose or didn't take the effort to clean the chassis where the oil drained out. I responded to Maria, the service assistant, never heard a word back. Last year, they forgot to tighten the lug nuts on the right rear wheel so getting onto Palmer Highway with the wheel wobbling was a real treat. I will NEVER go back to Cook Ford for ANYTHING! Took my car to the service center 2 and half weeks ago and never got a call to tell us what was wrong with the A/C. My husband call after 3 day and they never returned his phone calls, would hang up on him, or would leave him on hold for so long that he would have to hang up. After 2 and half weeks with no answers we went to pick the car up and the lady that works the service desk wouldn't even look or speak to my husband. The car wasn't fixed and hadn't moved from the parking spot that we parked it in 2 and half weeks earlier. So now we are going to McRee to get it fixed. They took my request and told me someone would call back. Nobody called me back. I called back at 4:35 to check on progress. 'The Service Department is Closed'. Someone will get to you Wednesday morning. My truck is being held hostage. I need my truck tomorrow Tuesday, and also need it Wednesday, but have no idea when they will let my truck out of jail. Not going to lie, I don't like car dealers that much but Cook Ford did a nice job of making the transaction very simple. Due to COVID, I had been communicating back and forth with Tony in sales on various trucks to try and find something that worked for both the features that I wanted as well as price. Living 70 miles from the dealership, I had to be sure they were going to honor a price we agreed on to drive that far. Needless to say, they did just that. Simple paperwork, very upfront. I was handed a sheet with price, tax, and state fees on it and a total price at the bottom, all written out with no surprises. Similarly, the finance office was very simple as well. We discussed payment terms and rates. While I would have preferred a better rate i understand the work they have to do to get the rebates/incentives down and overall i wasn't too unhappy with the offering. All in all, i spent about 2 and a half hours in the dealership and was out the door with my new F-150. Where to begin with this trash company. Let's start from the beginning. Back in November I was shopping for a truck online. I find one I like at this dealership in Texas. I'm in California mind you. I make the call, the deal starts that day. I send out a deposit, explain that I'll need to fly out. All good so far. Having conversations with the salesman was fine. He knew I was in California and asked me to bring him stuff that illegal in Texas, but legal in California. I'm sure you can figure it out. I fly out there. Salesman picks me up, and we head to the dealership. We take a 4 block test drive and I was rushed to sign the paperwork as they were closing soon and it was night time. I was excited about the truck. Tired from the flight, so I oblige and begin my 2 day trip back to California in my new (used) truck. This is when the downfall begins. I'm about 20-25 minutes away and the Check Engine Light pops up. I immediately call the salesman. He asks how it's running, and says it'll be fine just keep going, they're closed anyway so there's nothing they can or will do. I keep going. I'm damn near to New Mexico when I get a call from Cook Ford to drive all that way back and being them the truck to look at. That's not possible as I'm on a strict budget, and they weren't willing to pay for fuel, lodging, or meals during my stay. I keep on trucking. Once back to California I have to immediately put this truck to work, which is why I bought it. With my little time off I take it to the dealership out here to get fixed. They can't fix it. Since they can't fix it, I can't smog or register it. Yet, they call and email me repeatedly to get it smogged so can finish up their title paperwork. I keep explaining to them that they sold me a truck that isn't street legal and expected me to go out of pocket while they try to fix it, again, and that I'm doing what I can. Meanwhile, I'm now out of a job because I can't use my truck as it's not street legal. What does Cook Ford do? They keep passing the buck. Now, I'm out tens of thousands of dollars, and they claim zero responsibility. Let's fast forward to mid March, 5 months after I bought the truck. I finally get it fixed and get it smogged. I call them to tell them the good news, then they jump all over me about overnighting the paperwork to some company in Colorado with the promise of the paperwork being overnighted to the closest California DMV and that I'll have my plates on a couple days to try and get my job back. Well, that was also a lie. I come to find out today that it's going to be another 4 weeks until I get my plates. Understandably, I get upset and call to talk with Anthony the general manager. He's allegedly out for the day. I ask them to get him on the phone and explain this. They come up with all the excuses in the world. Tiffany, who answers the phone, has a crazy attitude to match how upset I am and decides to start playing the hang up game. Mind you she's just an operator there and tells me she has 3 kids and blah blah blah. I explain that I'm going to keep calling until I get the general manager on the phone or until he calls me. I get cussed at and hung up on. Then I speak with "Brandie". She's also as rude as they come, not giving a sh*t that they sold me a lemon, proceeds to do the whole thing where they thinks it's ok to patronize and call people "honey". Had I done this to her, I'd be crucified being that I'm a man. As she's doing this, she laughs and hangs up on me. Then I call back and speak with Tabitha. She was cool. I explained to her what was going on, how they knowing and willfully sold me a truck that's know to have problems. I explain to her that I need to speak with Anthony, the GM, to find out why I was lied to, once again. She tells me it's fine if I keep calling. So I do. Then Tiffany answers the phone again to tell me that the GM is on the phone with someone at the dealership. I asked why he wasn't on the phone with me. She once again gets rude with huge attitude and hangs up. Tiffany says she's on eta phone with the police, the later threatens to call the police? Which is it, Tiffany? Tiffany ends up calling the police. GOOD!!! She's got friends on the police force who end up calling and threatening me out here in California. I told them to file the report and come get me. I've done nothing illegal. I get a call back from Tabitha. Again, very cool, very calm, very understanding. I come to find out that Tiffany had no authority to call the police and file a false report against me. Oh, and the secretary, Tiffany, who answers the phone just sent the cops to my house. Ofcourse I've done nothing illegal, so I didn't go to jail or anything. But it just goes to show you the hate for liberals, and just trash quality of the people at Cook Ford. read more

With only 1350 miles, it lost all power and acceleration while going 65mph down Hwy 225 on Christmas Day. It was towed to Mac Haik Pasadena for repairs. Still no comparable loaner... Not very impressed with cook ford after the sale. They said my 2014 f350 had been check out and certified, so I thought that meant it everything was in good working order but not the case. I bought the truck on a rainy day so I didn't notice the wiper switch was broken it was stuck on delay. I didn't notice the washer nozzle broken under the hood. My change oil light came on after a week and the check radiator additive light came on after two weeks. Now my tire pressure is throwing codes. Bought a 2014 fiat used for my wife. They worked a decent deal on my trade-in and a fair price on the fiat. 1 month later the fiat, has a hesitation when stepping on the gas, pulls to the right, and best of all...is dead in the driveway. Apparently there is a known issue that requires an "upgrade" to reprogram the pcm to prevent the car from completely draining the battery. This was a known issue that cook ford overlooked. I will be getting rid of this car. I attempted to let cook ford make it right and swap me for a new ford truck...they offered me 3k less than what i paid for the fiat 1 month ago, expecting me to eat the three grand to get out of a lemon they sold me. My screen went black on my 2020 SuperDuty still under warranty , made a appointment brought it in said it would be two (2) days before they could look at it, after five (5) days no one even opened the door to the truck, I know because I have a dash cam, so I picked it up, because it's my work truck and needed it for work. when I got home I checked the fuse and it was not seated correctly, so I pulled it out and put it back in and like magic the screen came back to life. You would think that would be the first thing they would have checked, but I guess that's way the have so many bad reviews for being incompetent, unprofessional etc. Don't waste you time or money here. Extremely sleazy salespeople! Came here last Saturday to look at a Lexus they had for sale on the lot. The vehicle itself was in okay condition with higher miles and was a bit older but the vehicle had no listed price. Ended up speaking with a salesman to find the price out, who then told me I'd be able to get out the door on the vehicle under budget. So we get the process rolling and they ran my fiancé's credit and mine without our consent and disregarded the fact that we were pre-approved through our bank for financing. After finally getting them to verify our pre-approval with the bank they then added $4,000 to the asking price then proceeded to insult my fiancé and I when we refused to speak about other vehicles and even attempted to play us against one another. What kind of "dealer" sells cars with the wrong tires on it? The kicker is they know it has the wrong tires on the vehicle, yet still try to sell it, and don't advertise this defect online. Then when I asked for safe proper tires that don't effect the drive of the vehicle, they said I had to pay for them. This is a way to have lower prices online and raise the price at the sales table. I was very shocked at this tactic, it looked like a small town type dealer and I expected more. Guess I was wrong. I was also told to swallow my pride and purchase another vehicle that I was not interested in. Very rude and unprofessional. The worst dealership I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They have the sleaziest and most unprofessional salesmen. HR pretty much hired con men to sell cars and not even good con men at that. They have lied twice about the price of a vehicle to me and a friend of mine. They lie about the price of a vehicle to get you in the door then all of a sudden next thing you know they're telling you the car that was advertised for 15k is now 24k. No reasoning and no explanation. If you disagree with their pricing (even if you have black and white proof of fair purchase pricing right in front of their face from several sources) they immediately start getting passive aggressive and refuse to act like adults from that point on. I feel sorry for anyone who actually bought a car here because I can guarantee you were taken advantage of. They seriously need to re-evaluate their staffing choices. I asked her to assure it would be because I was having to drive over an hour to visit the dealership. Upon arrival at the agreed upon time of 5pm I was told by a sales rep that the vehicle was being serviced and I could not see it. I asked to speak with a manager when Russell arrived. He stated the vehicle was being serviced and Rachel should not have scheduled my appointment. I asked to see the exterior of the truck. He said "absolutely" and then came back with nonsense that it was up on the lift in the shop and he couldn't bring it down. He proceeded to "promise" as soon as the service was completed he would contact me to schedule an appointment and even bring the truck to me to test drive. It's a shame that a dealership places such "blind trust" in a single person (appraiser) that has all the final say in how much "they think" your vehicle is worth. I had already checked the value of my vehicle online and even told the salesperson (George - bad salesman) of that value. So, either it was the appraiser or George George arrived back from the appraisal office and handed us our keys and said good-by. We left and immediately went to another dealership and the reception and atmosphere was like "night and day" compared to Cook Ford. I will never set foot in that place again. I recently purchased a pre-owned 2010 truck from Cook Ford and I couldn't be happier. The buying experience was made very pleasant, quick and easy by my sales person Lisa. She walked me through all that needed to be done and there were no surprises. As for the truck itself, I'm in love with it and it's met all of my expectations. I've been getting maintenance and repair work done here on other vehicles for several years and I've always been happy with the service. John and Virginia in service always take extremely good care of me. They are good at getting my car back to me in the time promised and at or under the estimated cost. They've gone above and beyond on several occasions when odd repairs needed on my vehicle were not repairs they make in-house. They've tracked down parts and people who can do work that I would have never been able to find. I'm certain that had I been anywhere else I would have been told I was out of luck and been sent on my way. For years I drove from Sugar Land to Texas City to get work done at Cook Ford. Thankfully I've moved much closer but even if I hadn't, I would continue to make the 50 minute trek to get the service I get at Cook Ford. Thank you Cook Ford! read more

Bought (2) new cars the same day. 2018 Flex and 2018 fusion. Within the first week the Flex had a high whistling noise above 65. We took it and they had it for over a month, I had to go back 3 times to ride with them because they could never hear the noise, finally figured out they were only driving around the block at 3ph to test, not highway speed. They had the windshield replaced. Got the car back but the leak was still there, and a week later the consuls wiring harness burned up. They had the car another 2 months. Went back to pick it up, as soon as we drove it on the highway it whistles, so we got another loaner and they had the car for a month and a half again. After month and they said they had it fixed. Took back the loaner and it had gotten a chip in the paint from a door ding and they wanted us to pay to send the car to paint and body, had a heated discussion with the service manager about only having one little door chip after 6 months of loaners was due to us parking as far out as we always could, and walking from the far side of the parking lots, so I was not paying for it after 6 months of loaners. He lost the argument when I got the sales manger involved, so he went into their system and classified the whistle as road noise so Ford Regional would no longer assist with the whistle issue. I took the car to the Ford dealer in League City and they verified the whistle, but still had to fight With Ford regional about the lock out by Cooks service manager. After 2 years of dealing with this, the Fusion started having transmission issues, so I just got rid of both cars. Will never deal on with Cook Ford, doubt I'll buy another Ford in this lifetime. Very disappointed in Ford, as I bought an Excursion in 2000 with a great dealer in Colorado, and that truck has been great. read more

Would give them negative stars if i could. I went to them when my truck was wrecked and waiting on a decision from my insurance. I needed to get to work. I was very stressed and took a bad deal but didn't realize how bad of a deal. 1. The windshield has a few chips in it that I failed to notice during a after dark test drive. I notices the next day and texted Bill the sales guy and he told me they would send someone out to repair it. They did but the repair guy said the winshield was going to be replaced because someone else had botched the repair. 2. The car was full of air-freshioners. I thought they just liked the smell. I removed them from the car. A day or 2 later I am sick as a dog and cigarettes smell from the air conditioner every time it is on. Now i have to drive on Texas summer heat with windows down in a 2015 Accord. 3. I did a 3 point turn yesterday and found the front CV joint needs repaired. Did not notice that during my test drive. 4. The deal they worked out with the bank is terrible. I have never paid 20% interest on any loan ever. They also added 4k in "fees" on top of the 12k price they quoted. I understand tax tag and title but 4k is insane for a 12k car. Once I get another truck this piece of garbage will sit the next 6 years while I pay for it. Sure i signed the paperwork so I could get to work the next day. Had no choice with my only vehicle totally broken. Talked to the sales manager and he told me that he was not going to replace the winshield the sales guy promised me. He acted like he couldn't smell anything from the AC and tried to say I am allergic to my dogs I have had for the past few years and even sleep in the room with me at night when he saw dog hair in the car. I got more and more angry the more excueses he tried to make. Was sold a smoked up broken car that at the end of the day i cant use for health reasons. Sure I could refinance it in 6 months to lower the interest but you loose gap insurance when you do that. They are liers and have unethical practices. read more

Hankook tires look cheap I actually asked for my two year old tires from my trade-in. The sticker says a power rear window and it does not have that. But several E-mails and no response. Recently purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra TX Edition truck at Cook Ford. Our salesman (hate to call him that because he was never "high-pressure") George Heitman, was such a breath of fresh air. George isn't your typical salesman. He's such a nice guy, pretty new to the car sales business. If you know your facts on the vehicle you want to buy, and what you're willing to pay, this guy is the guy to see. He's not pushy, he's sympathetic to your needs and specific situation and isn't trying to sell you something you can't afford or don't need.
