The latest issue has been with needing to get my vehicle checked out because it's having issues starting. My car is less than 2 yrs old and I bought is from Demontrond. I inquired about a loaner and appt for min 10/16/17. I understand there was a hurricane and y'all lost vehicles and are down to limited quantities. Guess what I lost one of my vehicles and am down to this one impala. So no I can't leave my car with you. Then I asked if there was a waitlist to be put on and the gentleman (if you can call him that) said I don't know when we will have any. I thought that was the point of a waitlist. To put it plainly I just don't feel valued as a customer. I understand there are limitations but what happened to creative thinking, attempting to solve the problem and wowing the customer. Not only have you lost my respect but you have also lost my future car purchases. I will be sure to let my friends, family and co-workers know as well. Don't go there and DO NOT TRUST THEM! Brought my truck in twice for ECM communication problems. Both times, they saw the check lights and saw the codes. Could not diagnose. They supposedly checked the wiring harnesses and the electricals. After ONE FULL MONTH there at the dealership, I got it back with no fix. I didn't even get it home before the check lights and problems hit again. Turns out the harnesses, connectors, and ECM still had road dirt I simply wiped away with my finger. They didn't check anything and LIED TO ME about it. Their website estimated my vehicles trade in value at $4.k, its a Honda with 135k miles, the internals are all original apart from the starter and obviously the battery, it runs like it came off the factory line. They knew that $4.3k would drop their asking price down to $22k(minus dealership add ons and fees and tax) so instead of honoring the correct numbers, they come back and slap me in the face and value my car at $500. They can improve by following the correct market value and taking the price hit, they also lie about working commission when a quick search shows they don't operate on it. read more

I had a problem with the service department. Jan 2nd I took my truck in for an oil change and tire repair. They kept it there 3 weeks and never did anything to it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Feb 6th, I called to see if they ordered my rim and was told it would be there in 4 days. March 18th, I called to speak to the general manager, was told that he would call back. Never happened. Then they refused to fix my brakes, mind you I pay for the work being done lol. And they refused a paying customer. The service department performed an oil change on my husband's 2024 Chevy High Country, but unfortunately, they didn't execute it correctly. We are not interested in that solution; after all, they mishandled a basic oil change, and now they expect us to trust their service department with the installation of a rebuilt engine. I regret ever purchasing a car from Demontrond RV. My experience has been nothing but a nightmare, and I strongly warn others to stay away from this dealership. I bought a used 2011 car for my son. At first, everything seemed okay except for a few small issues. We only asked the dealer to fix the handbrake, which they refused. We didn't want to make it a big deal at the time, but the very next day serious problems started to show: the car felt bouncy, the fog lights malfunctioned, and the steering was unstable. We took the car to a garage for an alignment, where the mechanic made a shocking discovery: the shock absorbers had been installed upside down. He explained how dangerous this was, warning it could damage the suspension, springs, bushings, and even cause the tires to come loose while driving. We immediately returned the car to Demontrond RV. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service advisor, Mr. Willie McDowell, told us he would call to explain what needed to be repaired. We waited three days--no phone call. My wife and I purchased a car at the beginning of November, and although we had no issues with sales, the finance department has been awful. We were pressured into an extended warranty, and with our doubts, confirmed that there was a cancellation period (60 days) and were assured it was an easy process. Two days after purchase, and further reading the requirements needed for a warranty claim to be honored, we decided to cancel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called the dealership multiple times and left messages with the finance department.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The next day, we spoke to the receptionist who acted surprised that there had been no answer, as she stated the other day was not busy at all - we then asked to leave a message for the finance manager.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]With no further response, my wife proceeded to drive across town 5 days after the car purchase to talk to someone in person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When she arrived, one of the two finance folks were in the office, and because the present financial person did not help us with the sale, we'd have to wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ryan Crowder was left a message from his associate, and we heard no call back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We repeatedly called the following week with no response. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finally on the second week, we received an email back from Ryan about our desire to cancel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We filled out the required paperwork and odometer reading proof same day, and asked for an estimate on cancellation timing. Six to eight weeks to cancel a warranty, after we had signed out an intent to cancel nearly right after purchase. The contracts are airtight and state that cancellation can be completed for a full refund within 60 days, but the finance department is intentionally delaying the process. This is BEYOND ridiculous and fraudulent business practice. We have reported this case to the Texas DMV and intend to raise further concerns to the DeMontrond CCO and general managers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Update: we spoke with a general manager today to escalate this, and they gave us the run around that it could take 90 DAYS on their end to have the warranty cancelled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Talk about moving the goalposts and lying to sell any car. They do a bait and switch. They advertise a Truck for $45,105.00. then when you get there they ask about financing and what rate you get. They they say the only way to get the $45K price is with spotless credit in the 880s but they can offer you financing for just 6.9% instead of the 3.9% they advertise. Then because you don't have the 880 credit score and you don't get the special pricing but they can offer you the same truck for a little $18,000 dollar difference so the truck you came to look at at $45,105 with 3.9% interest now becomes $67,480 with a 6.9% interest. I was wanting to buy an SUV and DeMontrond had the biggest discount in a reasonable distance from me according to the chevy and their website. The status of the vehicle was in transit. I called the week before the scheduled arrival to try and get an accurate price and was told they could not talk numbers until the vehicle arrives. I called on the expected arrival date and was told it was delayed another week, the salesperson said he would keep an eye on it get back to me when an arrival date is determined. I never heard back. I later saw the new arrival date on the website and called two days prior to try and get a final price and reserve the vehicle. The salesperson said he would talk to a manager about pricing and try to ping the vehicle for location and get back to me. Again, no response. So I called back on the scheduled arrival date and asked the internet manager if the vehicle had arrived. He said he would look and call me back. A few minutes later he said it was there but, had been sold. I replied I had been following the vehicle for weeks and no one would give me a final price or let me reserve it and now it's sold. He responded that a manager would contact me. That didn't happen either. A few days later I called and asked for a manager. The receptionist said they were in a meeting but, she would leave a message. Again, no response. The day after finding out the vehicle was sold, a salesman from another dealership that I had stopped by a few weeks earlier called me and informed me of some new specials and recalled details of our previous conversation. So who would I want to do business with, people who said several times they would get back to me and didn't or someone who I had a brief encounter with who reached out to me and remembered details about what I was looking for. DO NOT USE DEMONTROND. YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE STOLEN. I will share an incident about a potential inside job of employees who used a fake transport company to take cars from the service center at Demontrond and send them to Mexico to re sell. According to the Hidalgo police department, this incident had links to cartel who used a juvenile mule or stated by the officer "pregnant woman who needed money" to drive the vehicles into Mexico to avoid suspicion. I had dropped my truck off for service to have it fixed, and they needed to keep it for 2 weeks. Since I live in Dallas and the dealership is Houston, they said they would ship the vehicle to me. I was contacted by Border Patrol one night. My vehicle was recovered by border patrol because I have my business logos on the side, which raised suspicion, trying to cross into mexico. When the Texas City police department began to investigate the dealership, they became completely uncooperative. They fired the General Manager of the Service department before police can interview her, and they told police the cameras in the dealership "do not work/fake" and will not provide any footage. How do you have millions of dollars in inventory and no cameras? What are you hiding? Police attempted to reach out to the transport company hired by GM MOTORS only to find out it was FAKE and doesn't exist. Also, I have recordings of the employees admitting they left the truck out on the street with the keys in the gas tank. Never signed off and no paperwork for a tow company to take possession of the vehicle. Texas City officer spoke with me after the investigation and stated he feels this is an inside job and many things aren't adding up for him. Also, the dealership not cooperating raises flags for him as well. Without video footage, he can not charge them for a crime, and since they fired the employees, they are washing their hands of it. I was without my truck for the entire month and half. This affected my business and my job. I lost thousands of dollars along with a stripped truck completely damaged when it came back from Mexico. I've dealt with these guys for some time and I'm tired of them not doing the job right ..I've been in 2 wrecks and both of them fixed by them .first time they forgot to put my logos back on and they charged them to my insurance,then when I go up there to get the money for them they take 2 weeks to get approved and 3 weeks for to get the check in the mail Anyways that was a little thing didn't matter too much .but the second time they replace my ac condenser and well I didn't tell y'all how long they kept my car like a month n half ... well my ac didn't last to long I guess it all leaked out and with me not having my car for that long I'm definitely not taking my car back there they missed a lot of clips to put back on my bumper is not clipped all the way in the bottom they broke a side clip for the bumper,I told them what happen they said it's prolly just a clip I'll get back to you when I talk to the guy who worked on your car see if they have it ... another thing my paint ,that clear coat ain't it looks like they just ripped the tape off while the paint was still wet ....I got primer on my interior,how does that get in there? ....they put bondo on my paint and 3 months later I got cracked bondo/paint ,like I said earlier my bumper is missing a lot of clips paint is chipping from the bumper . I'm a very satisfied with my purchase from DeMontrond. I came in last week to look at a used 2019 Volkswagen GTI. They took care of us and made us feel welcomed. Obviously they're gonna try to squeeze some money from you, that's just how the game works. However, I ended up getting a great deal on a great car. I would go back to this dealership for the service, good pricing, but also because they have the "Warranty Forever" on most cars. Win win. 2014 Stingray, over a month to fix the radio. 2016 Z06 headlight out at 2600 miles (yes 2 thousand 6 hundred) and 10 months old. Had the car all day, said they replaced bulb and ballast and all was well. Returned the car with the following damage: -scratched rear quarter panel, buffed out but now swirl marks. -Scratched mirror -scratched headlight lens (looks like they rubbed or swung a tool against the plastic light lens). -2 Gouges in front bumper under headlight where tools hit it. -Stripped screw under bumper -Misaligned bumper (why was a mechanic removing body panels? He told me it was his first time. Really? These models have been out since 2014 and he's learning how to remove bumper on my $96,000 car?). Is it too much to ask to have a body guy remove body panels? Who returns a customers car like that? And guess what? Headlight still doesn't work!! Called to let them know about the headlight still out the MOMENT I arrived home with the car and saw it. Service advisor asked for a day to get back to me on the next move to fix car. 3 days without a call. ------ Update: Finally got the car back. The light works for now and damage has been mitigated to a level I can live with until I get rid of the car - aside from the touchup paint that looks like a 5 year old with a crayon did it. Better than a repaint of the bumper and questions later. I've owned 6 corvettes over the years and many other GM vehicles. Looks like I'll be selling my GM vehicles and moving to Ford products. Despite what was obviously the best effort by Dana (Service Manager), the quality of service work is just substandard. Apparently Demontrond has a dealership cat. Because there were cat paw prints all over my car when I got it back. I was by the Ford dealer the other day and the expensive cars are kept inside (and some covered) while in for service. Mine sat in the parking lot the majority of the time amongst flood damaged cars based on the onboard valet video. The one night I specifically requested it be inside, a cat crawled all over it. If you're keeping track, additional things that happened on this service visit: - They lost the keys for at least one day and couldn't work on the car. - A cat left paw prints and small nicks all over the car surface on this return visit to fix the headlamp. They promised to fix everything and I genuinely believe the service manager had good intentions. My brother-in-law accidentally knocked the rearview mirror out in my husband's Camaro. He called in to see if they would pop it back in. They said, "Sure!" I brought the car, they took it to the back, and came back 5 minutes later to say it was ready. No paperwork, no charge. Someone backed into my car via passenger side front bumper & light but parts to fix car were sitting in the back seat of my car over 6 weeks. Car was in shop over 6 weeks an insurance payed the rent car but they paid after the month cause length of time. The worst part is I've had to make many phone calls and many returns because my front bumper keeps popping off. They pop it back in but it keeps popping off. They tell me to return but I got tired if driving back just so they can pop back in. Here we go for over a year and after popping the front of my car back in over 50 times I will keep posting the pictures of my front forever. Since they couldn't fix my car after several returns I took over popping my front back in. I will post my pics here forever! Passanger rear window light was on because the button was broken to roll window down. The man was very rude! My husband and I custom ordered a Chevy RST. We went to the dealer to discuss numbers and negotiate and we ended up leaving because they wouldn't give my husband a good price for his trade. We got a call the next day and they increased the offer. Great. Accepted. I asked for a new number sheet. When I reviewed the numbers, I discovered they were over charging me on sales tax and tag fees. When I brought it to their attention, Jeff (Sales Manager) was irritated that i said anything and was short with me on the phone. They ended up correcting the fees and I saved about $400.00. MAKE SURE YOU ARE DOING YOUR ON CALCULATIONS! We went to the dealer after work the same day to continue discussing the numbers. We told them that we had a supplier discount and they adjusted the price accordingly. No one said anything about the discount, it was applied, no big deal. When we moved to the finance office, we told them that we were per-approved with our bank. We were then told that they DO NOT do outside financing. I told them that if they could match or beat my interest rate it wouldn't be a problem. He came back with a 4.19 interest rate. I told him that my bank interest rate was lower (2.49) and he came back with 2.99. When i asked to see the call sheet from GM Financial to confirm the rate, the sales manager, Jeff, flat out refused to give it to me and told me that I needed to take him at his word. He then got very angry and told me "I honored your supplier discount when i didn't have to, you should have told me that when you ordered the truck! I can put a stop to this deal whenever I want." I asked to see the call sheet once again and he told me that it was against company policy to show privileged information...you mean, you cant show me my own information? He then told me "I cannot show you the call sheet because at some point I have to stop the bleeding". Which sounds to me like he doesn't want me to see it because he is trying to hide something. I have a feeling the rate was always 2.99 and he was withholding points and didn't want me to see. This, after he tried to hide fees in the taxes. We ALMOST left and walked away from the deal BUT, Alyse the finance coordinator was amazing. We were literally getting our stuff to walk out and she walked over to talk with me. The only reason the deal went forward is because of her. I wasn't going to lose a truck that we waited almost 2 months for over a half of a percent. I'm just going to refi with my bank. I complained to Bobby, the director, the next day about Jeff and his attitude. He was very apologetic. Overall, do your math and don't let Jeff intimidate you. I have nothing against Demontrond only the supposed "Warranty Forever" they offer. What a Joke! Basically no matter what, they will NOT cover any repairs. Even though I did all necessary services at a dealer as I should per the agreement. Now that I have and issue they won't cover it because of the lift on my vehicle. What a croc of BS! The vehicle came from the dealer brand new with the lift. They said if I make any modifications to the vehicle at all the warranty is Void. You can't even change your own oil or rotate your own tires. And you must call in and ok anything you have done to the vehicle. BE WARNED! I was online shopping and a sales agent called me later that evening. I told her what I wanted, and went in the next day. She greeted me at the door and from that point on i felt welcomed and had a feeling i was in great hands.. She showed me a few vehicles I was interested in, and I feel in love with a truck. She got me approved with what i wanted in no time! The Sales Manager was great on negotiating and making a deal. The best experience I have had in car shopping over the last 2 years with this purchase being my last for a few years! They welcomed my children, treated my family very well.
