This place is the worst. I understand that prices are going up, but the quality of the food is going down significantly. I feel like every time I come here. The quality of the food gets worse and I'm not joking. The service is not great on top of that. Today I ordered a big double tray with double fries and my fries were cold, but the place wasn't even busy. I was quite literally the only person inside and when I left the drive-through had two cars. Last time I came here before this, I ordered Cajun chicken tray and the piece of chicken was basically a chicken strip on a sandwich, which is absolutely insane to me that the chicken is as big as two of my fingers. Cook Out hit the spot tonight!! We loved the grilled chicken and barbecue sandwich trays. While there were ample Cajun fries on one tray, I was only served a handful of onion rings. I've gotten take out twice here since we moved to Denver back in July but what do you expect during a Covid Pandemic. Had a lot of take out since last March. It's pretty much like the other Cook Out restaurants in the chain. Did not have to wait long to place my order but then again, this is one of the least busy stores in the Chain. Order was correct and I ate it when I got home about 5 minutes later. I like Cook Out because it reminds me of the burgers my Father used to cook on an old Char Coal grill back when I was a teenage. Fries need some work because they are overly soggy and greasy. Needs a bit more salt as well. All in all, as far as other drive throughs in Denver, this is one of the best. Other fast food restaurants in the area are exceptionally slow. This one at least moves. read more

I've never experienced employees that were so confused with placing orders. We went inside thinking that it would be easier. Asked for a burger w ketchup, must, mayo & lettuce (which we were asked to repeat 4xs) and instead were upcharged for "cook out style" with chili, must, onions & slaw. My son hates slaw, so I asked them if they could remake it but keep just the chili (since we paid for it) + what we originally ordered. I told them one of my other boys could eat the incorrect burger if they were just going to throw it away, but the employee ignored me and threw it away anyway. After asking me again 5 more times what we wanted on the burger, he had to write it down. On another tray, asked for a chicken wrap for one of the sides, and instead got a bacon ranch (after he clarified that several times). Poured 2 different coke drinks and couldn't tell us which was which. He just said "you'll have to taste test". I ordered two regular fries, cheese fries and a chili cheese fries. Not once did I ask for a large french fry. So they double charged me cheese on both fries and double charged me chili on the chili cheese fries. I asked to speak to the manager the lady at the window got an attitude and referred to the manager as bro like you guys might be close but you're in a professional setting and you need to speak professionally. Oh I never once said large french fry I said an order of cheese fries and an order of chili cheese fries if she charged me for a large that's why I was double charged so check your receipts when you go out there because it's not right on the screen they don't explain it I never once said large I said an order. I eat a lot of cookout. I eat a lot of their quesadillas at all different locations. This was just awful. Cheese was cold, and they practically wadded them into the tinfoil. I went back up to the window to ask for a remake, and was told that I needed my receipt. I presented my receipt and they told me I needed the "other" receipt (they only gave me one?) I asked for a manager, and she agreed to make new quesadillas for me. The new ones were great! Until I found a hair in one of them. This is the third and last time I visit this establishment. Each time was a drive through experience on a Weekend night and each time I spent 35-40 minutes in line. How can you call yourself a fast food establishment and have customers waiting more than 30 minutes in line? All I came there for this time was a milkshake for my wife. They are slow, and the employees are having a ball laughing, joking and such, yet we are waiting a ridiculous amount of time just to get to the order station, let alone get food. Terrible operation. Walked in with my wife, children, and in-laws after a day out in the heat for a quick meal, was greeted with a huge smile by the tall curly headed fella upfront, he was eager to take our order and made sure even the smallest of details weren't left out, this was no easy task as we are a large family with small picky eaters. We felt very welcomed, it's hard to believe this is considered fast food, the burgers taste fresh off the grill and the fries and hush puppies complimented it well. 10/10 recommend this location, I can only assume from the past reviews that they have stepped their game up! Stopped in to treat myself to one of their "premium" milk shakes. Ordered a Snickers milk shake and took it with me. Could not get hardly get any shake through the straw so I had to use my straw as spoon and try to eat the shake that way. Thought it was 'cause the shake was so thick. NOPE! As I got closer to the bottom I discovered it was because the lazy person that made the shake just threw big junks of Snickers in the bottom of the cup and then just put vanilla ice cream on top of the chunks of Snickers and did not even mix it at all. $3.28 for that???? Hardly a "premium" milk shake. Won't be doing that again. Would rather have a Wendy's Frosty. Much better and cheaper too! read more

This restaurant used to be a great place to grab a quick bite to eat for cheap. Things have gone wayyy downhill since Covid hit. Lines are always long now and move incredibly slowly. It feels like they're understaffed and I experienced the worst unprovoked attitude I've ever had from a fast food employee there last week. This place is great, pretty quick, orders right and great sweet tea. Also love that their opened really late, employees are nice The only thing I would suggest is that on the weekends theres a lot of trashy highschoolers who hang out there that I've seen first hand that are so disrespectful to the workers there, and disrespect the place, trying to get in late when they've been told they cant come in causing scenes and even dancing on the tables outside, peeing on the property, yelling cause they're not getting their way, banging on the glass outside. This place was extremely nasty inside. Every table was sticky or covered in food, the drawer of sweet and low by the drink machine was filled with soggy packets. No dry ones at all. This cookout sucks the employees are miserable and love to have fun with the customers, it's sucks being suspicious every time you take a sip from your drink.. I've been living in Denver my entire life and remember when the place opened..it was so good and nothing was ever messed up. people were great and the manager's have always had the place running smooth. however now as of nov19th 2021 after being away due to work ive moved back and went today and man has Denver and this cookout changed. the food was ok however the service was horrible and so sad to see. who I assume to be the manager took my order at the drive through read my order back to me so we both confirmed what she had was what I ordered ..2min later at the window they gave me and my mom our food and half of it was not only missing but what we did get was half wron..when I politely mentioned it she got a attitude like I was lying..why would I lie I just want what we both agreed was the order 2min before..then her help lied saying everything was in the bag and right. when I asked if I can get what I ordered even if I had to pay again she got more mad and said I had everything again..needless to say I wasn't going to hold the line up for liars and poor management. ill probably never go back there again which is a shame as I grew up going there after games read more
