Always a delicious choice! My favorite is the barbecue sandwich tray. This is definitely an underrated option here, but you should try it out! Looking forward to the holiday milkshakes coming out!

This was the milkshake when I received it, not full and covered in syrup on top instead of a blended shake.

The only reason I am leaving this review is because this food being incorrect almost made me very sick. I have come here since I was a kid, and have not had this experience in over a decade of orders. I ordered two double chocolate shakes, one for me and one for my wife. When we received them, we had to mix them because they had been made poorly and so we took the lids off. That alone would not have led me to leave a review. My wife's was fine, but my milkshake had small chunks of banana in it. It smelled strongly, but I hadn't been sure. I stopped eating immediately, as I am extremely intolerant to bananas and they make me violently ill. I asked my wife her opinion, and she said it smelled like banana so I should not eat any more. They, of course, had no way of knowing about my allergy, as it is only a problem if ingested, so I just don't order items with banana in them. Some cross contamination is expected, but there should not be whole chunks of extra ingredients added.

I got a cookout tray from here and I ordered a big double tray with a cheeseburger quesadilla and a Cajun wrap. The wrap was the only thing good smh. My quesadilla was a cheese quesadilla and my burger had one full patty and the other one was like cut in half. I do not recommended going here!!!!!!

Footlong hot dog, Cook-Out style (homemade chili and slaw, mustard, and onions).

Cook-Out is a North Carolina tradition. I went a countless number of times with my friends during high school, whether it was after a Central football game at Simeon Stadium in High Point or after a Wake basketball game at Joel Coliseum in Winston. Cook-Out is everywhere in North Carolina. It's great for hot dogs, hamburgers, milkshakes, and more. When I return to North Carolina during the holidays each year to visit family and friends, I almost always try to make a visit to Cook-Out. Cook-Out hamburgers and hot dogs are char-grilled fresh. The meat is higher quality and many of the ingredients and toppings, such as their chili and cole slaw, are homemade. This is why Cook-Out tastes better than big fast food chains. My personal favorite item to order at Cook-Out is the footlong hot dog ($1.99). I order it "Cook-Out Style" with mustard, onion, chili, and slaw. While the frank isn't very plump, the meat is hearty and smoky. The onion and slaw are finely chopped and the slaw is slightly sweet. The bun is soft and can get a little soggy with all the toppings, but it still tastes delicious. I love it. My second favorite item to order is one of the burgers. You can order burgers in four sizes at Cook-Out, from 1/8 lb. to 1/3 lb. I usually get the regular size (1/4 lb.) for $2.49 and, like the hot dog, make it "Cook-Out Style" with mustard, onion, chili, and slaw for 75 cents extra. The burger is served wrapped in foil. It isn't terribly big and the bun sometimes gets squashed, but it's still packed with flavor and very tasty. Finally, many people are fans of Cook-Out for the "fancy" milkshakes ($2.49). There are over 40 different varieties (!) including cappuccino, peach cobbler, Hi-C punch, and strawberry cheesecake. My favorite is the Oreo. The shakes are rich, thick, and creamy. They are served in Cook-Out-branded Styrofoam cups with bible verses on the outside (Cook-Out is a Christian-based company). If you've never had a Cook-Out shake before, you must try one. Also good here are the fries, onion rings, Coke floats (Coke + ice cream), and sweet tea. I think every Cook-Out has a double drive-thru to speed up ordering. This Cook-Out location on North Main also has several booths for indoor seating. Orders are processed fast and efficiently.

    Banana fudge shake; heavenly!

We had a fabulous late lunch experience this afternoon at this particular Cookout restaurant located on N Main in High Point. They offer drive thru service as well as sit down dining. Even though it was 2pm precisely, we were lucky enough to see a table open for us as the restaurant was pretty darn crowded. Service was efficient, polite, helpful and super friendly. I've only had their chocolate shake (last week) so this was my as well as my family's first time experiencing their food menu. It smells so good in here! Both of my kids enjoyed small cheeseburgers, fries and split a chocolate shake; the employee who rung us up happily gave out an extra cup so my kids could share the shake easily. Very much appreciated! My husband enjoyed a double cheeseburger with fries, a chicken quesadilla and a big icy cold Cheerwine. He loved everything! I very much enjoyed my Out West Style bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries, slaw and a banana fudge shake. Burgers were all cooked nicely, french fries were delicious, cooked well and had a great flavor. That banana fudge shake...holy friggen amazeballs! So thick, delicious and I really enjoyed the cold pieces of fresh banana throughout the shake. Yum yum! Definitely getting that again. $21 bucks total; you can't go wrong! We really enjoyed our experience here and will most definitely be back with the kids sometime soon when we feel like stuffing our faces until we're on the verge of sickness. Cookout rocks!

Me asking for my change & was told they ran out of change

I am a devoted Cook Out customer who travels From Hawaii to eat your Burgers & drink your Awesome milkshakes. I'm very disappointed by the service, food & the way I was spoken to during my order. The Cashier Joseph was very condescending and I was told they was out of change to give back. This location need some serious training. On top of that, my order was incorrect. Never again North Main Cookout High Point. I will travel to Thomasville NC from now on

I'm so happy that this Cook Out still exists! I've been eating here for a few decades. My go-to order includes 'cook-out style' hot dogs, hush puppies, and a milkshake! My favorite milkshake flavor include Oreo, mint chocolate chip, and Oreo mint. The prices are so reasonable and the service is quick! Cook Out is a wonderful staple in the south!

She was literally hoppin' it was so busy but did a good job of keeping up. She helped me find items on the menu that fit my dietary restrictions. Nice vibe, laid back, loud. Parking isn't great limited onsite but there's plenty of additional parking across the street. The best menu! There's SOOOO many things I want to try. I mean, a variety of different fries are you kidding me? My friend had the spicy goat burger which she said was good: if you don't like messy don't get it because the sauce is very sticky and she said there needs to be more sauce on the burger. I had a customized salad which was huge and delicious. The salad was too big for the size of plate though. The dressing was a house made roasted shallots and was yummy. Outdoor and indoor seating. Not in Greensboro often but I'm coming back here!

Since I was driving back by on my home the next day, had a late lunch. Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!

I recently started seeing a lot adds on social media for their new smash burger tacos, so one weekend I was feeling lazy and needing some lunch I decided to go give it a try. There was a bit of line when we arrived, but the cashier kept the line moving quickly. I ordered (2) of the tacos, and some fries to go. Apparently, they had a promo going that weekend with their app, that you'd also get ANY size, free custard made to your liking. The order came out pretty quickly, didn't have to wait long at all. Got home, unpacked everything on a plate, and enjoyed my tasty lunch. The tacos were great, basically just a soft shell taco with a single smash burger in each, cheese, a little lettuce and fry sauce. Probably could add some other toppings, like tomatoes, but overall they were really good. Their fries are also great, but very thin, so you kind of need to grab a few at a time. There fry sauce those is what makes the fries even better. Must try! The custard was also great, i got one mixed with oreo, one of my favorites! The restaurant itself isn't too large, but decently clean. The interior is one large open space with a lot of hard surfaces though, so it can get noisy in there as it fills up. Overall, a tasty option from time to time. Would recommend if you like smash burgers though they do also have hot dogs, and the custard is delicious. Go check them out if you haven't already

After seeing the smashburger tacos, my husband regretted his order. It was love at first bite--juicy steakburger with gooey American cheese, lettuce and jalapeño fry sauce on a tortilla. Definitely a must-try (can purchase a la carte & add to existing order). Husband's chicken sandwich had a weird texture (we were joking it was fish)--but chicken tenders seemed fine. Daughter devoured her dbl steakburger. Love the thin, crispy fries and crispy tot sides. Have the option for ketchup or choice of 3 flavors of fry sauce. Friendly staff, prompt service, hot food. Dining room was clean and rather quiet for dinnertime. A great and tasty fast food alternative to the usual suspects.

Magnolia Blue was one of my favorite High Point eateries. Whether I went for weekend brunch or New…read moreYear's Eve dinner, I never had a bad meal there. It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.
