I have eaten at all of the Big Burger Spot locations over the years. This one is good and doesn't disappoint. I usually do build my own burger and it's always delicious. Today I decided to try something new and ordered an Ahi Tuna sandwich. It unfortunately wasn't very good. The tuna didn't have a lot of flavor and needed more seasoning. I also ordered Parmesan truffle fries. They were delicious and made up for the disappointing sandwich. Overall I recommend Big Burger spot but I do not recommend the Tuna.

Do not go at night. They got my order wrong. No tots. Burger was half cooked. Might be better for lunch

Best burgers in Greensboro!! Best French fries!! Truffle fries are made to order/ hot and fresh in a paper bag. Something about this greasy bag- entices me back k over and over again! I cannot help but eat on the way home. The burger options are the best. If there's a line- it's worth the wait!

Big Burger Spot is consistent. If I know I need a good lunch, I can count on this spot. Today, I ordered curbside. When I arrived, I didn't see the spaces for curbside parking so I didn't mind going inside. It was super busy. I didn't wait very long. My order was ready. The cashier even apologized for me coming inside. I told her it was no problem. My food was hot and it was goooood. I ordered a turkey burger with lettuce, pickles, onion and tomato. I requested no cheese, because I was trying to be good, but they added it. It was actually ok with this. This burger was really good. The cheese made it even better. So shame on me for not asking for it. lol The tots...oh the heavenly tots. First time having them...I should have gotten the large size, because they were amazing. Great customer service. Great food. Great atmosphere. I just like this place.

My first time at this location. They get a 4.5. The extra half star is for the lady who played the music. It was on an all Prince radio station. She won my purple heart! Everything you need to know to order is on the walls around you. Your burgers are cooked to order so it may take a little time. I had tots with mine and Bae has fries. If you've read some of my reviews before you know Bae is a French fry fanatic. They weren't hitting for him on this day. Not sure why. The tots were banging though! Your food is brought to your table. You are responsible for your own drinks. They have Coke products and sweet tea available. Go look at the burger pics! Then go to eat there! I can't promise you'll be serenaded by Prince but you will have some great food! Pro tip: Pull the door hard to open it; it's not locked.

What a cute little local spot ! We stopped by on a Sat afternoon for lunch. I was craving either a Reuben or a burger. They don't serve Reuben's so a burger it was ! They were super nice and helpful when we ordered at the front register. I chose the Philly burger and hubby had the pimento cheese burger. We both agreed that they were probably not the best burgers we have ever had and they were not the worse ones either. The fries put them over the top. Two orders of fries were a lot for us. They were plenty to share with one order. We would stop by again if we are over in Greensboro. Give them a try. You will be glad you did.

Quick service. Food cooked right. Delicious burgers and yummy tots. Could use to step up the cleaning of the restaurant and restroom. A little concerning that I couldn't find a health score. I didn't die though and it all tasted great. I'd give it another shot. Pimento burger was the star; choice pick on the menu.

I first discovered this burger oasis when my friend--I assumed--dared me to eat a burger at a gas station. I laughed at them, but then remembered that this friend didn't mess around when it came to good eats. BBS slaps. That's all there is to it. The ingredients are fresh, and they really really do offer a palette of burger varietals. They cater to the gluten-frees and the vegetarians (the nacho fries and veggie patties are nothing short of miraculous), and the milkshakes will SEND you. We are lucky to live in a burger haven. But. This IS Greensboro's #1 burger joint. Don't let anyone else convince you that it's some hops, skips, or jumps away.

Classic combo with a side of Cajun fries.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

I was looking online for lunch specials and this place popped up saying they have a $6.95 all day monday special, so, after seeing that they offer egg on the burger and how good this deal was (plus a side) I decided to give it a try. The place was not super busy when we arrived, but I do think we missed the lunch rush as the staff was cleaning and restocking. Even though it had clearly been busy it was very clean and the decor did not feel dated and was pretty standard for a place that is borderline fast food. However, it did not taste like fast food. I ordered a burger with egg, cheese, and pulled pork. It was a perfectly cooked medium rare with the fried egg over easy. It was absolutely packed with savory flavor and a slight sweetness in the pulled pork. The egg was runny, just liked i like it, and had slightly crispy edges. The bread for the burger was fluffy and a little sweet, a perfect pairing. I ordered the tater tots as my side and they were nicely seasoned and crunchy on the outside but hot and soft inside. So so good! I will 1000% be back for this deal! If you are looking for an affordable delicious lunch and dont want a drive through check them out!

The serving size of fries is enormous! Food order is placed at a counter. If you chose to eat in, you're given a number and food is brought to your table. Only tables in this restaurant: some with only chairs and others with chairs on one side and a bench seat on the other side. All seats are hard, and with NO padding. The restaurant had a good business, with 80% capacity inside and people coming in and out constantly for to go orders. I ended up here because the restaurant I planned to visit was closed for renovations. I feel like it was my lucky day, as this burger was much better than I would have gotten there. I will return!

After ordering, it took maybe 5 minutes to get our food which felt decent for the fresh food! There was a steady flow of to-go orders so it seems to be a popular spot. I ordered the Popper Topper Burger, although I do get the jalapeños on the side. I was expecting a little bit more to be honest. It was cheesy and delicious, but the patty itself was lacking any flavor. This was shocking because the menu described it to be "Cajun seasoned" but it felt very plain. The fries were my favorite part by far!!! Unlike other places, this had plenty of toppings. Normally, once you eat the top layer the underside is dry. Not here! I was covered in cheese sauce by the end of the meal. If you're in the mood for some really good fries, definitely check it out!

While the exterior is a far cry from the "vibrant patio" the restaurant description promises, the interior opens into a clean, bright space, which is more spacious than one might expect. On the front counter you will see an artistically designed menu board, depicting the many creative offerings available here. When I invited my coworkers to join me here for lunch, 2 immediately began ardently affirming my choice, regretful they could not join me but promising I would love it. In this moment, vague memories of them talking about this "really good burger place at the gas station" for months on end began to come back to me, as I realized they had been indirectly recommending it for a while. On the other hand, my 3rd coworker, who was in a separate room and had not heard their high praises, told me that it was "overrated" and "fine but not that special." Lol. Needless to say, I had absolutely no idea what to make of it all when I arrived. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter asked if I had ever been there, before patiently walking me through the various sections of the menu and helping me pick something out. I settled on the Popper Topper, which promised Cajun spices and fried jalapeño coins, among other various toppings. At its smallest size (big), it only cost $10.99. I also ordered bacon and cheddar fries. My initial impressions upon receiving my food (quite quickly, I might add) is that 1) the restaurant's name is perfect and 2) this is a very good quantity per dollar and an absolutely absurd calorie per dollar meal, especially in 2025. For right at $20, I got a huge burger and enough fries to satiate 2-3 people. I cannot fathom what the larger burger sizes look like, much less who could possibly be ordering them. The fries were everything I could have asked for -- crispy, salty, and with a very generous amount of both cheddar sauce and bacon (the perfect amount to have sauce on every bite but not be soggy). The burger was good, and definitely satisfied that primal craving for salt and fat that we all carry with us from hunter-gatherer days gone by. However, I wouldn't say it was particularly spicy, nor did its flavor deviate significantly from any generic burger I could order. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, but I was a little disappointed. I think that the fried jalapeño coins are breaded a little on the thicker side, which somewhat mutes the spice and slight acidity that they would otherwise add to this dish, to help cut through and brighten the other flavors. All in all, I had a great meal and would totally come back, but I don't think I've tried the "perfect" burger from here yet. Definitely going to recommend this to anyone in the area.

I ordered the Daddy's Philly with a side of pesto pasta salad and banana pudding. The Phily was really good. It came loaded with cheese, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, jalapeños and Garlic mayo on a soft bun that wasn't soggy or stale. I was a little surprised because, despite the jalapeños, I didn't find it spicy at all. I love garlic but I think I would prefer regular mayo to the garlic mayo. Compared to other cheesesteaks I've had, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Instead of fries, I chose the pesto pasta salad. The pasta itself had the perfect chewy texture, and I honestly wanted to keep eating it. Unfortunately, it was too salty for my palate. I could only manage a couple of bites, which was disappointing because the texture was amazing.....like how do you get your pasta to that texture, spill the beans! Haha For dessert, I tried the banana pudding. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite style. I personally prefer banana pudding that's light, fluffy, and silky. This one was much thicker and heavier than what I grew up eating, so it just wasn't my preference. Overall, I enjoyed the meal, especially the Daddy's Philly. Of course, everyone's tastes are different, so these are simply my personal preferences. I'd still encourage you to give it a try and decide for yourself. Ciao for now!
