Just left CookOut and I ordered a cheeseburger quesadilla and white cheddar bites with a large drink and was like a cheese roll up from Taco Bell and the cheese bites where crumbs left at the bottom of an empty bag. This place was good when it first opened. Now it is slipping into the toilet that most fast food places dwell. I would come and be greeted by smiling faces eager to take my order but now it's the exact opposite. I am waiting on a side and a shake. It's going on 20 minutes waiting time..there's no one in line.. i used to be a fan of cookout. I don't think I will be back. In fact i had to get a refund. Not worth the wait.. Ok. Not blown away. Burgers like you would make yourself. Had the double patty burger with extra toppings (tomato/bacon/onion), chili, o-rings, and peach cobbler shake. Didn't care for consistency of chili - seemed like real cheap beef (73/27 ratio). Shake was super thick - more like DQ Blizzard. Couldn't drink it - had to use a spoon. I like they have affordable fast food that is good. The shakes are really good. The only complaint I have had is when people rudely cut in the drive thru instead of going around. It blocks the exit. Very frustrating sometimes, and especially when a slow person cuts in front of you. NOT Cool people. The staff is not really friendly at times, it depends on who is working. read more

Did a drive through experience do I can't attest to the in dining experience. The drive through was real fast. I got the pork sandwich with coleslaw, the sandwich was pretty dry even with the slaw although it wasn't actively bad. I slathered on the hot sauce which helped things. The chicken quesadilla was pretty solid, actively good even if a bit soggy. The hush puppies weren't very good, also tolerable with hot sauce. The shake though? There service experience used to be great. It was fun while it was new. Went last Thursday poor service and poor quality of food. Perfect spot for a late night meal! Nothing on the menu is bad. It has great prices with combo options. I got a cheddar style burger with cheese fries and both were hot and fresh. Also the milkshakes soooo good. I recommend going in the summer so you can get a watermelon milkshake which is seasonal. It stays steadily busy so you may have to a wait a while for your food, but it has a good atmosphere. read more

Pretty good burgers and terrific milkshakes. Some of the sides are downright pitiful. Fries are good enough. This is a step above McD's and you will enjoy your burger. Went to the cookout today 7/8/18 around 2:10pm. Ordered food for me and my family. The cashier Akile ( who was in the front by himself) rang our order up but had a nasty attitude. He was rolling his eyes everytime I had a question about a burger. What really put the icing on the cake was I ordered an extra drink which would have made 3 cups he needed to put on the counter. Well he only put 2 cups on the counter. I said it should be 3. Be rolled his eyes, turned around got the cup and rolled his eyes putting it on the counter. I basically said we don't want the food, told my friend to get his Money back so we could go. A young Caucasian woman gave us cash back and she looked scared processing the refund. The whole crew was looking from the back As if they were shocked that I said I didn't want the food after the bad service. I do not do business when the customer service is terrible. If he does not want to work, he needs to go home. I already called corporate while in the parking lot. they are looking into this. Told them they can view surveillance if need be. If they are desperate for workers ( which they do have the hiring now sign out) they may need to put him in the back where no one can see his facial expressions. read more

Been to this place 4 times, during lunch rush a couple times, a little later the others. Good price for fresh food, quick service. Hot, crispy fries, cold,crisp slaw, hot burger, fresh lettuce, tomato, pickle. Plenty of food for the price, large drink included. Very busy, but quick turnaround on my visits. Went tonight and waited 30 minutes for drinks. We ordered a cheerwine float, coke float, and orange push up shake. Checked the front desk every 5 minutes after our food was ready and was told that the person at the register had to make them and they would not make them until there was no line. I asked if the line never died if we might never get our drinks, and they just shrugged. Well, the line never died and after finishing our meal with no drinks we asked for the manager, who refunded me only for my drinks and said not a word sorry or otherwise. Behind me were four other orders still waiting for drinks. In my line of work you don't keep taking in new business when you can't service the old orders, first in first out, not so at this place. Apparently they just don't care about customers at all. I used to be in there three times a week with a pretty large group, now we will be going somewhere else. It's super crowded at lunch and the drive thru backs into the street. I always go on weekends or late night. Opened a Yelp account just to give this chain a negative review. Disgusting floors and disgusting staff. Saw a girl sucking on her thumb while preparing food after I was waiting on my wrong order to be corrected for the THIRD time. Everything was cold and soggy- as they didn't remake the food, just throw toppings on my burger over and over again. Floors and kitchen were covered in food and trash and the manager was giving me a hard time huffing and puffing about remaking my food. My ticket was right, so why give me a hard time? Employees were cussing and being profane about customers where everyone in line could hear it. Staff wasn't on my side but everyone else was. What ever happened to the customer is always right? Especially if my ticket was correct and you're in the wrong! Get your thumb out of your mouth and put a glove on girl! Not that the manager seemed like the type to say anything about it at all.
