Have been very pleased with value and service the times I've visited this location! Once you get an idea of what they offer, ordering is super quick, and by the time I pulled around and paid, my food was ready, yet somehow miraculously, at least in my case, it didn't taste like it had been sitting around. Love the Cajun chicken sandwich! I usually upgrade to the shakes cuz it's such a bargain and there's so many flavors. I still haven't tried them all. Love that this one is closer to me. The one over at the college was too far away, and was too busy taking care of drunk kids who barely know where they're at let alone what they want to eat to give great service, but the service at this one is always quick, efficient, and very courteous!!! I stayed in MB few summers ago. It was like 1:30 AM and my husband and I were looking for food after our movie was out. We found Cook Out with a decent line. OMG! The food was amazing. It's fast food but flavored well. I got a bbq chicken sandwich and husband got strips. The Chili Dogs are great too. But the Cheerwine soda was so good! Cook Out was at the top of the list of places I wanted to check out while in Myrtle Beach, especially after a co-worker gave it rave reviews. What an awesome concept, being able to choose from sides other than fries or hash browns and at a price that is hard to believe these days. I went with the Double Cheeseburger with fries and nuggets for my sides and hubby got the 1/4 lb burger, onion rings and cole slaw and we both really enjoyed our meals, the burgers were fresh and tasted like you'd expect them to taste coming right off a grill on a summer day and the sides were all equally delicious. Oftentimes when hubby and I go out for fast food we'll order nuggets on the side to share so I love the fact that you can choose them as a side item and the honey mustard and onion ring sauces were yummy. The young lady who waited on us was super friendly and I liked the Christian music they play in the restaurant, very uplifting. I was also quite thrilled to find Cheerwine among the soda fountain choices (difficult if not impossible to find this Cherry soda in MD so I take advantage of every opportunity when I find it). Really wish we had Cook Out Restaurants in our state but for now I'll have to settle for enjoying while on vacation - counting the days till next year's trip. read more

OMG I love this place. The food really does taste like your eating it from an authentic cookout. Hot Dogs with Chili & Slaw are to die for! You can't go wrong with the Cookout Tray either. $4.99 gets you two hot dogs, choice of two sides (I picked fries, quesadilla) and a large drink. I ordered and I waited and waited patiently finally once they were about 15 numbers past my number and 10 minutes after I decided to sit down I went to check on my order, the girl said she would go check on it, a couple of minutes later she asked me for my receipt, about another minute later she said they're working on it, a couple of minutes later I got my food. The burger was decent, the onion rings were ok, the coke machine leaked water all over my hand, there was no cheer wine in the place although cheerwine is all over the menu. I never received an apology of any sort no nothing, just "3040!" which was my order number. Also the metal parts of my booth were sticky and hairy. We love this place! Whenever we are in Myrtle Beach on vacation we always go at least twice! We do wish there was more seating as it's always so crowed it hard to find a seat for our family. The meal is great! A double cheeseburger with everything, double onion rings(or a chicken quesadilla) and a sweet tea. I love their sweet tea, and I appreciate the fact that they give tea drinkers a bigger cup bc of all the ice we put in it, makes sense, THANK YOU! This place was cool! The best things here was that the food came out super fast and the young ladies working here were very nice. They do not have to go menus so you have to read their menu off the menu board behind the counter. It is kinda high and colorful. It can be a bit overwhelming. However, I ordered the tray which comes with a burger, 2 sides, and a drink. The burger was ok, nothing too special. I ordered french fries and a corn dog as well. I know, what an odd combo. I ordered a bbq sandwich and slaw and hush puppies and the slaw was dry on top, so I took some off the top and the bottom was soggy and it tasted sour! So I told them that it didn't taste good and they nicely took it and gave me fries. Just love how they have corn dogs as a side to add to your order! I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and extra onion. What caused them to get four stars not five stars was the extra cost for the tomato. Yes, it was only 10 cents more, but why didn't they have that posted on their menu board? Or, did I mess it because it is so full of all of their choices? I charged extra for the cheese, too. However, that is a normal charge similar to other quick hamburger restaurants. Then, comes how I was greeted. There was a couple in front of me ordering. When they finished and moved to the side I moved forward. Suddenly, without any logically reason, the cashier left her post leaving me standing there. One of the other workers rolled her eyes as if she was puzzled why the other girl left her station with a customer standing there. She took my order, but didn't appeared to be too happy. In all, I enjoyed my food. I feel my experiences at this Cook Out have been with how I have been greeted and served. Thank goodness the food is good and the prices are reasonable as long as you don't order extra tomato. And, by the way, I did comment that I hoped that my slice of tomato was not small since I was paying extra for it. How odd, but it was a sliced unevenly so half of it was very, very thin. Thus, half of my hamburger had tomato and the other half didn't. I wanted to take it back up, but I was pushed for time.
