Burky's just reopened after fore damaged the building. I had never made it in prior to the fire but Since the reopening we have been back twice. The food reminded me of an old soda shoppe. The burgers were delicious and the hot dog simple and tasty. I loved my simple chocolate shake. The line was almost out the door both times and the drive thru was wrapped around the building. Yet the staff were amazingly efficient. Watching them work together like a well oiled machine was half the fun of sitting and waiting for your order. Everyone was nice and polite. The ice cream machine was broken the second time we went I was sad but still enjoyed my hotdog! First time visiting, and I have to begin by saying we're traveling with an autistic child and cannot dine in anywhere. We got 3 cheeseburger combos, each with different toppings, 1 kid's meal with chicken nuggets, and a hot dog combo. I knew they were the smashed type burger, and only wish I had gotten a double! No complaints on flavor from anyone, and the fries...........yeah, better than the place with the M in the name! We tried another popular burger place last year with the name Joe's and I was the only one who enjoyed that place, but this year, we all enjoyed our food. Service is fast, and it looks pretty cool inside! Maybe when the little fella is older, we can get him to sit long enough for us to eat our food very quickly, but for now, we're happy to find food we all enjoy. read more

If you like smash burgers, you will love Burky's. The meat is seasoned well, almost always the food is hot and fresh. The building is fresh as well with a very bright feel. That's the good news, the not so good news is the operation is still off since reopening from the fire. The drive-thru is a nightmare. Go inside and order. Three times in the past month I have gone through the drive-thru to see if their processes are any better and sadly they aren't. Expect a 3-5 minute wait per car when you get in line. Service inside is much quicker. I hope they they get that part of their business fixed. read more

Ever heard the phrase, don't judge a book by its cover? That is 100% applicable to Bucky's. From the outside, the place looked kinda run down and dingy but I trusted Yelp reviewers and decided to go in. And tbh, it is great. In this area, everything is absurdly over priced but Bucky's prices and portions were extremely competitive. It was 5 of us and all of our combo meals combined was around $40. Delightful little drive-in type joint, with tasty dogs and smash burgers. Chili cheese, fries or not as good as Detroit style, but still delicious-chili seemed like it had more of a tomato'ey base. Service was prompt and courteous, fries were super crispy and tasty. Burger was good enough, but honestly, the thinnest smash burger that I've ever seen in my life. Humble local burger and hot dog spot in Myrtle Beach. Decently sized seating area. Eat in or get it to go. I believe they also have a drive-thru. If going inside, you'll order and pick up your food at the counter; basically a self-service place. Your food will probably be ready before you even fill your drink cup. One negative, they serve Pepsi products (yuck). Plenty of free parking right outside. The double-patty burger was really good, but needed a little more ketchup and mustard in my opinion, but it was such a minor thing I didn't bother to get more. They added mayo, which I didn't request, but it was okay. My girl really enjoyed her cheeseburger. Their patties are very thin; can get a nice crisp on the edges. We both thought their fries were delicious, rivaling McD's fries. Sweet tea was super sweet; classic southern tea. They also have unsweet tea for any Yanks who drop by. Prices are very reasonable, about $8 per burger combo, and better quality food than you'll get at a fast food joint at similar cost. read more

So I ordered the chili based on someone else's review..right away ..it was luke warm at best. 2nd...2 bites in and im chomping on uncooked pasta. First stop in Myrtle Beach literally 10 min ago after a 12-hour road trip and not eating on the way, I was determined to finally try Burky's on this visit. I knew exactly what I wanted and was excited there was a drive thru so I (my husband) wouldn't have even shut the car off. We get to the drive thru, I was ordering from the passenger side and the young lady taking the order was clearly annoyed that she couldn't hear me. So my husband began placing the order but that didn't work out too well, but here's what we asked for: 2 double cheeseburgers, 1 fries, 1 order of steamed veggies and 1 clam chowder, which the young lady's tone also seemed annoyed by that request, because they didn't have any soup - I guess I was supposed to know that. We drive up to the window, no standing there even greeted us, the young lady who was taking the orders walked away and an older, nicer woman began and handed us our food. Within 5 min we arrive at the place we are staying. I remove the food from the bag and the veggies that were in a nice plastic take-out container, unfortunately it was so melted that I was afraid to even open it to eat the veggies - hot plastic + food = poison. So needless to say, my attempt at being healthy was a fail. On the bright side, the burgers were freshly made to order, smashed flat yet still juicy, just 1 piece of cheese between the patties but that was perfect anyway, the shoestring fries were the best ever. The prices are quite reasonable and I will definitely go back, this time with a better plan as to not irritate the workers with my ignorance of ordering. Our favorite for great flat grilled burgers with the freshest lettuce and tomato! It is at least a weekly thing for us! The ambiance gives the feel of an old burger joint from the 50's and 60's! Milkshakes are great and the soft serve ice cream is a fun addition at the end! Hey, guys Jaclyn here with a new review! Burkys, well we stopped in my mom and I and decided to try the place out. I have only passed it like 100 times in my life. So we went in, well my first impression was that it felt run down but with some paint and some cute design ideas they could make this a mini 50's Malt shop! I miss that people can't be creative. The place was not bad by all means but I am just a person of vision. We ordered regular cheesburgers and doubles with fries and coke combos. We were greated by a nice young man and was asked if we wanted combos and the fixens we would like to have on our burgers. Glad they asked! We sat and took it in. I love that they have been awarded for a number of years and by numerous categories! The music was 50's style, love it, some car pictures on the wall and neon! Just wish it had a little more umph in the decor! But still a neat place. Ok the food was ready and it was fresh, unlike some place where fries are sitting in a bin. The burgers were moist and flavorable and the fries hot too the touch and my tongue, whoops! Your choice of drinks was nice and help yourself is always fun! The food was delicious and not a bad price for what your getting! Both my mother and I liked the food and of course she and I both loved the music selections, the 50's! The only thing that was a little confusing to me was where to throw away our trash and/ or do we leave it. I watched a lady bring her try to the counter and they took it. So we did just that before retapping off our drinks for the ride home! The lady took my tray and thanked me and told us why no trash cans, just cause they get so busy that the trash overflows and not nice to see as you are eating, so they collect the trays or you can bring the trays back to them! Very nice lady. Well as some of you know I rate businesses and on the scale of 1-5 Golden Forks I would have to rate it as follows: Ambiance- 3 Music- 5 Cleanliness-4 Friendliness-4 Menu- 4 Customer Service- 4 Meal quality/ taste- 4 Overall raiting 4 Golden Forks! My only reccomendations is that you have a great business, good location and good food, but maybe just a little more focus on the interior, it's screaming for more 50's Malt Shop Vibe. My fiancé and I were visiting from out of town when she looks at me and says "burger..." hopped on Yelp and then the car and drove to this place. It was kind of in the middle of this parking lot (it felt awkward, trust me) and we kind of just looked at each... f@$k it.. burger time.. trust in the reviews.. we opted for the drive through. I ordered the double cheese and she ordered a regular burger. The staff were friendly and quick with our order. Honestly, it was faster service than McDonald's or Burger King. We arrived back at our Airbnb and started eating. At first bite we both eyed each other .. it was great for what it was. Hell the fries were divine and I'd wager that they are better than McDonald's fries! It's been about 6 months since I've eaten there and to this day we both bring up this place.. especially those fries! If we were local we'd probably come here at least every other week! My favorite diner in Myrtle Beach! They have so many flavors of milkshakes, one being butterscotch and it's always a go to for me. As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted by happy staff members and they were engaging with us as if we were apart of the family. You can't beat the prices for the quality and quantity of food. What I love the most is that you can see the food being prepared and it tastes like a real hamburger right off the grill as if you made it from home. They were quick, funny and the food was so delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some diner food and a good milkshake. read more

Their burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. My one complaint was that I had a double cheeseburger, and it was only 1 slice of cheese. Other members eating with me tried the Cincinnati chili, while they liked the chili, they said it was definitely not Cincinnati chili. It was served over spaghetti but that the taste isn't like Skyline. Their prices were very fair, and my family of 3 ate for $20 (one being a child). The kids meal was only 4.75, had a lot of options and came with fries and ice cream, a great value. They also have a drive thru, if you don't want to come inside. Really enjoyed this place and can't wait to add it to our list to visit every year! read more

TYS!! I was on a mini vacation and stopped in here on 11-29-2022 for a bite to eat. I was not disappointed. It was everything that it was said to be. I wanted to try the local items just as they should be without any adjustments by me. I ordered a hot dog with mustard and relish! Very good. Real mustard! I also order a burger, with cheese, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and bacon. It was a combo, so I was able to get some fries and a drink. Very good deal!! The burger was great. Well done. Good flavor and temperature. Fresh ingredients which I appreciated. Reasonable prices. Decent portions. My server was "Wayne."
