I love seafood and was referred here but immediately regretted it.The lights are broken in the parking lot ,there are people running up to cars asking for money.When I was greeted by the host I let her know that there was someone directly in front of the door.She said " we don't have anything to do with that".The staff seemed to be numerous teens to young adult aged.I sat at the bar after 10 mins a young lady came and threw a menu across the bar to me asking if I knew what I wanted to drink .After taking sometime I asked about the shrimp I wanted a 1/2 lb but you can only purchase in pounds.I added on a side of rice & a beer.After my food came out I didn't see the bartender again until I asked someone else for a box & my check.When I left someone ran up to my car again asking for money.... We came. We celebrated. We conquered. It was my sister's birthday but the way we ate, it sure felt like mine! The seafood boils were absolutely delish. They brought out a dessert for her birthday and sang as well! We bibbed up, gloved up, and dove into heaven. Our party of 4 had the crabby combo. This was a waitress recommendation as we had never been to this type of restaurant and weren't really sure where to start. The combo was $125 and included a pound of headless shrimp, 6 clusters of crab legs, sausage, and 4 of each- corn, potato and hard boiled egg. The food comes out really fast- like the tray is in the back ready to go. There's a bucket on each table with aprons, gloves, paper plates and forks. After we suited up, we went to town cracking crab and peeling shrimp. Discards went in the bucket. As other reviews mentioned, there weren't any cracking or picking tools available. That made getting the crab out a little more challenging- but the kind of challenge the teenage crew I was with enjoyed. In the end, I think we all could've eaten just a little bit more. (We'd ordered the fried rice, but it was pretty gross and was left uneaten.) There's no shortage of places to go for a seafood boil in Myrtle Beach. The choices are overwhelming. Tasty Crab was a solid option and a good place to give seafood boils a try. The kids tried to get me to take them back the next night, too! read more

Do not sleep on this place. From the outside, it doesn't look like much but the food is amazing! I haven't stopped thinking about those Lemon Pepper wings. Beer was cold and perfectly paired with the shrimp. One pound of shrimp seemed like WAY MORE!! Service was very good. (Restaurant was very very busy) Interior was basic but appropriate to the meal. Restaurant provides the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in the form of gloves, bibs, wet wipes, galvanized steel bucket, and Tyvek Suit (JK on the Tyvek!). Shrimp+potatoes+corn arrives in a DOUBLE bag. Because the shrimp needs to be peeled the PPE may be necessary as you are up to your elbows pulling your dinner out of the bag. read more

My wife and I had fried shrimp while my son and his girl had the seafood broil which tasted outstanding. For group of 4 just get the large broil that serves multiple, it's the way to go. My husband, 2 year old and I ate here this evening and the food was AMAZING! I have to also brag on the speed that we were sat, order was taken and food was on the table--my husband barely had time to go to the restroom after ordering before our food came to the table--which for a toddler mom--is important and appreciated. I brought a large group here when we were in town for a soccer tournament. They don't take reservations, but after calling ahead they said if I came early they should be able to accommodate us vs coming at their peak time. So since we were done with games by 2, I showed up at 4:45 and the rest of my group (40+) showed up at 5 and we were seated right at five. They handled seafood lovers and the under (and over) aged non-seafood lovers with style. Stuff came out as fast as you can expect with that kind of order volume with the less than fancy stuff taking a bit longer, because honestly, I don't expect you to be able to make 200 chicken strips at a seafood place fast. The seafood lovers in our group were raving about it, I was very happy with my snow crab/shrimp the crab was perfectly cooked and very easy to peel by hand except for the hardest bits (the claw) needed a cracker. The potatoes were perfectly cooked for my liking in that they were holding their shape until you pushed and then they were perfectly soft. Corn was well cooked, the peel and eat cut shrimp were simple to peel and little to no stuff was wasted trying to peel it. The seafood was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp was the best I've had in a long time - sweet ocean flavor and none of that metallic taste you get with farmed shrimp. We split a crab and shrimp boil and barely finished it. Be careful not to over order; the servings are generous! I LOVE this seafood broil location in Myrtle Beach! The service was great, and the ambience is exactly what you'd expect from a seafood spot at the beach. Their decor was very under the sea theme with nets and crabs hanging from the ceiling and mermen at the entrance! The broil was served in the largest container and I loved their sauce. What I did was boiled some linguine because you can use it with the delicious extra liquid sauce that comes w the boil. Everything was great. Definitely, order from this establishment again. Food was served with rare utensils- no forks, no scissors, just a couple of crackers only. We had to ask the waitress for a pair of scissors to open the crab claws and more utensils. She brought one pair of scissors for a ta ble of six. Unfortunately, when I paid the bill, I forgot my credit card.
