Our party of 4 had the crabby combo. This was a waitress recommendation as we had never been to this type of restaurant and weren't really sure where to start. The combo was $125 and included a pound of headless shrimp, 6 clusters of crab legs, sausage, and 4 of each- corn, potato and hard boiled egg. The food comes out really fast- like the tray is in the back ready to go. There's a bucket on each table with aprons, gloves, paper plates and forks. After we suited up, we went to town cracking crab and peeling shrimp. Discards went in the bucket. As other reviews mentioned, there weren't any cracking or picking tools available. That made getting the crab out a little more challenging- but the kind of challenge the teenage crew I was with enjoyed. In the end, I think we all could've eaten just a little bit more. (We'd ordered the fried rice, but it was pretty gross and was left uneaten.) There's no shortage of places to go for a seafood boil in Myrtle Beach. The choices are overwhelming. Tasty Crab was a solid option and a good place to give seafood boils a try. The kids tried to get me to take them back the next night, too! read more

Do not sleep on this place. From the outside, it doesn't look like much but the food is amazing! I haven't stopped thinking about those Lemon Pepper wings. We left our number and name and got a text to come back in and get sat at 10:02. Our server Jaliya greeted us at 10:06. (To preface, I'm in the service industry as-well and i don't believe she was a bad SERVER, just gave bad SERVICE for the night. everyone has their days.) We placed our food and drink order at the same time. I got a garlic butter shrimp and crab boil +2 added on eggs. (unfortunately forgot to take photos) My friend got a boil with mussels and crab, along with an order of fried calamari. By 10:22 we received most of our order, minus the fried calamari which came about 3-5 minutes after the entrees. Between 10:06 and 10:22 we hadn't received our waters, trash bucket, gloves, or hand wipes and had to wait for our server to walk by to let her know. Few minutes pass and we received the bucket, gloves, hand wipes, but still no waters. This other server Simon was in another section serving other tables so we asked him for our waters (Simon was great, super nice, i noticed checked on his tables super often and kept them happy) He brought out our waters for us since we couldn't find our server. Finally she came and checked up on us (a total of 4 times from 10:06 to 11:15 including grabbing our drinks and order and bringing the check, we rarely saw her). All in all the food was great, vibe was good, service wasn't the best at all. Definitely would give a 5 star if the service was up to par, i know everyone has their days but waiting over 20 minutes on water definitely sucked lol. Restaurant provides the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in the form of gloves, bibs, wet wipes, galvanized steel bucket, and Tyvek Suit (JK on the Tyvek!). Shrimp+potatoes+corn arrives in a DOUBLE bag. Because the shrimp needs to be peeled the PPE may be necessary as you are up to your elbows pulling your dinner out of the bag. read more

I brought a large group here when we were in town for a soccer tournament. They don't take reservations, but after calling ahead they said if I came early they should be able to accommodate us vs coming at their peak time. So since we were done with games by 2, I showed up at 4:45 and the rest of my group (40+) showed up at 5 and we were seated right at five. They handled seafood lovers and the under (and over) aged non-seafood lovers with style. Stuff came out as fast as you can expect with that kind of order volume with the less than fancy stuff taking a bit longer, because honestly, I don't expect you to be able to make 200 chicken strips at a seafood place fast. The seafood lovers in our group were raving about it, I was very happy with my snow crab/shrimp the crab was perfectly cooked and very easy to peel by hand except for the hardest bits (the claw) needed a cracker. The potatoes were perfectly cooked for my liking in that they were holding their shape until you pushed and then they were perfectly soft. Corn was well cooked, the peel and eat cut shrimp were simple to peel and little to no stuff was wasted trying to peel it. Food served in flimsy takeout containers. Calamari looked like onion rings served over a bed of hush puppies to make it look bountiful; same with the catfish. I still question how calamari can be so uniform and have no tentacles. Ate 2 pieces and left the rest. Waiter placed my wife's food in front of me and the foil container was so flimsy it collapsed sending food (mostly seafood and some pasta on my wife's lap and the floor. When this happened the waiter had no reaction. We had to ask him for something to clean up and he brought back a washcloth from the kitchen(can't imagine what it had been used on! And when my wife asked if he could bring shrimp to replace what was on the floor he untrustingly went around to see if my wife was trying to take advantage. What I did was boiled some linguine because you can use it with the delicious extra liquid sauce that comes w the boil. Everything was great. Definitely, order from this establishment again. The seafood boils in the bags have lost a step. The sauce has gotten waaayy saltier. I don't know what has changed. The Wilmington location great, but they don't offer Soft Shell Crab (or didn't the last time I went). The seafood was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp was the best I've had in a long time - sweet ocean flavor and none of that metallic taste you get with farmed shrimp. We split a crab and shrimp boil and barely finished it. Be careful not to over order; the servings are generous! I expected half a crab, but there was a whole crab and well over a pound of shrimp for $50. The waitress was sweet. The only thing I would change is to order a beer instead of a cocktail. Food was served with rare utensils- no forks, no scissors, just a couple of crackers only. We had to ask the waitress for a pair of scissors to open the crab claws and more utensils. She brought one pair of scissors for a ta ble of six. Unfortunately, when I paid the bill, I forgot my credit card.
