First, the people that work here are very unfriendly. Secondly, I waited in line for 30 minutes to get the wrong food. I got back in line, waited, and they gave me what was supposed to be my correct order, I checked my food while still at the window (I did not want to drive back through) and they gave me the same thing they gave me the first time. I handed it back to them, the guy had an attitude about it, and when they gave me my food back it was smothered in melted cheese and I assumed it was right, and drove off. It was still wrong underneath the cheese, as this was my third request for no onions, and when I bit into my food there were sooooo many pieces of onion. So disgusting. This location has seemed to go further and further down each time I visit. I'm not sure if it's different management or if it's just the fact that no one cares about anything there. They used to be courteous with good customer service, but now the customer service is just as poor as their food is. Best bang for your buck! This is the go to place for good cheap food! You can get an entree with two sides and a drink for only $5.49. They also have a ton of milkshakes. We went through the drive-thru around midnight and the guy taking our order spoke super fast and interrupted me every time I tried to order. We got a meal for my husband and fries & a shake for me. It's been a while since I had the pulled pork, but I remember those sandwiches also being really good. I love their shakes too, you can choose from over 40 options. I have a friend, she used to have the Oreo shake almost everyday. She's like a Cook Out shake addict. Luckily, she had an intervention surrounded by her loved ones and friends and I think we were able to ween her off her habit. Sometimes one just needs a milkshake. Cook out tends to be a good place to get one as they have so many flavors, and it's usually a fine establishment. I tried to order a combo shake which has never been a problem before, but it became comical trying to order with the woman in the box either not hearing me or simply messing with me (what it felt like). Finally I just went with the singular heath toffee flavor because adding coffee flavor in the mix was evidently too much for her to handle. Oh... this was after I went through the one side order Lane and she made me drive around and into the primary one. So I ordered and drove up to pay at which point she tried to charge me 8.99. I nicely said, "I just had the one milkshake." So she closed the window, counted to 10 while touching/ doing nothing then told me 4.49. Gave me my milkshake after I gave her a five. She closed the window waiting over a minute for me to drive away. The line had grown to at least 7 cars behind me in those few moments. Normally I would have given the change as a tip, but I was irritated so I waited patiently for my change. Another woman came, and I heard them asking why I was still there at which point she opened the window again and asked what I needed. When I answered, "My change, " she shut the window and started yelling about how I wanted change, she couldn't believe it, etc. She finally opened the window again and gave me 45 cents (not the 51 that I suppose it might have been if a milkshake actually costs 4.49). She was clearly skimming from the till. I only wish I had thought clearly enough at the time to drop the coins to the ground in front of her. I use to go to Cookout when I was in college in Fayetteville, NC & Maryland doesn't have them yet. When we passed Cookout driving by I screamed & made it a point to go there the next day. I ordered their Banana Nut milkshake & cheesecake with cherries on top. The shake was as I remembered. ..thick, real ice cream, real bananas, and actual nuts. I had a food moment. My toddler even loved it & was stuck to my shake like a parasite. The cheesecake was great, creamy, and perfect. The only thing I wanted them to do better was just give me an entire cheesecake lol. When I'm feeling cheap (I order nuggets for the child on my tray). 2 menu boards on 2 drive thru lanes helps with preparing your order before you order. Twice the speed. Think at one board order at the other. Keep it moving people! Menu has anything and everything for a family. Corndogs, burgers, bbq, fries, onion rings and coleslaw. A huge tea to wash it all down or over 40 milkshake choices. Your only real decision is milkshake with the meal or as a dessert! This is a drive thru place only and it has walk up windows but there isn't any dine in option nor tables outside. Customer service has always been nice, pleasant and accommodating. I've never had any issues with this Cook Out. I've gone here many times, and the only real complaint I have is that they don't have an inside to sit down in. They are always on top of their game and move the line along quickly. They usually repeat my order back to me to confirm they have it entered correctly. I usually get my CookOut Tray with a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, 2 Chicken Quesadillas, a Cheerwine (yum), and I get an extra side of fries. This place is so cheap for the amount of money you get. Good hot food for a good price. Food taste just like it came right off the grill. Served hot and fresh! The milkshakes are DA BOMB! Know that this particular location is drive thru or walk up only. There are not dinning tables outside as well so all orders are to-go! Secondly and this is very important! Condiments and napkins have to be ordered with your food. If you do not ask for napkins they will not give you any. This is an inconvience but its small steps like this resturants can take to help keep prices low.
