This place has to be one of the best additions to the area. It's affordable with great food. The food taste just like it's came off the grill. The first time me and my family went we spent $12 feeding the four of us!!! I was amazed. I'm the type of person who says you buy cheap you get cheap but this place surely don't fit the motto. Cookout is awesome. I went to College in North Carolina so I was introduced to it there. I've had cookout from the restaurant in Salisbury before and it's been fine. This time however was extremely disappointing. I ordered a big double burger tray. Everything but the burger was fine. The patties on the burger were about 1/8 the size in width of the normal patties and the circumference of the two patties did not even take up half the bun. They were about as thick as a McDonalds thin patty (just as an example). Other than that, I have no complaints, the service was friendly and fast, the restaurant was clean and I still love cookout. But this was disappointing. I only ever make it to Salisbury once in a while and this is the closest cookout to me. Hopefully next time it will be better! read more

Customer Service was non existent. Girl at window was so high she could barely stand up - no pupils, shaking, and pale as a ghost. Got order totally wrong. Burger was undercooked and soggy. Drink was suppose to be Sprite and got a milkshake. No straw. No spoon, no napkins. Went back to complain. Same girl said she was a manager and would take care of it. Was worse the second time. Still never got a drink. Won't go back. I heard the staff was a bunch of druggies but she was under the table wasted. Terrible way to run a business read more

The quality of the food is better than chains as it consists of a more home-cooked taste. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Decided to stop in and we LOVED it. Great quality, fast, and fairly priced. The burgers are juicy and the bacon is perfectly cooked. The peanut butter fudge milkshake is crazy thick and delicious. Cook Out is a dangerous addition to our work lunch routine! Just opened and we've been three times in 2 wks. Amazing value - hard to spend more than $5/pp. The platter is a great deal and has lots of choices. The milkshakes are very thick and tasty (not what you'd expect for something that only costs $1 extra). I've tried the burger, spicy chicken, and Cajun chicken sandwiches, onion rings, chicken quesadilla. The onion rings are great -- very flavorful and crispy. My least favorite of the bunch was the Cajun chix - the spice is a bit too overpowering. But everything else has been super tasty. Best deal in town if you ask me - and fast, friendly service. read more

Not a bad place, but I personally think it's overrated. The burgers are just average, and I'm not a big fan of the chicken. They do have good quesadillas though (both beef and chicken), and the milkshakes are fantastic. If you just want a snack and/or a milkshake it's perfect, but if you're looking for a good burger that's better than average, I wouldn't really recommend it. It has been my second day ordering food from this place and the second time they screwed up my order. Yesterday gave me the 4 chili cheese fries when I asked for two cheese fries and 2 cheese dogs. today completely gave me the wrong burger and added onions to one of them that i specifically requested not to be added into. Great place to get a great meal. Dinning area is very clean and pleasant to sit down and enjoy a meal. I have seen outstanding customer service while I have been there. Managers have done everything possible to make sure every customer is happy. The same manager I have seen helped a customer carry their food to their table, and able to change a angry customer about their meal to laughing with them by the time they left. Their staff is top notch! Sometimes if you get their milkshakes you will end up eating it all as ice cream though as its way to thick to drink, even after letting it sit for a while. read more
