When multiple people tell you that everything at Cookout is delicious and fresh, believe them! In Maryland for a work conference, my coworker saw that Cookout is around the corner from where we're staying. I was thrilled because the closest one to me back home is 40 minutes away. It was late when we got from our day trip, but I knew I had to at least have a milkshake before opting for a full meal the next day. I was blown away by the size of the menu (especially the shakes), and how much food you can get at such a reasonable price! I opted for the Peach Cobbler milkshake because it's such a unique flavor. I appreciated the quantity of peaches and cobbler bits in the shake, but it was lacking that sweet, peach flavor I'm used to. The next day I brought another conference attendee with me so we both could try a meal for the first time. I went with a tray, picking a cheeseburger, fries, nuggets, and a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. If I closed my eyes and took a sip of the shake, I could immediately tell you what flavor it was. They nailed it perfectly. The burger and nuggets were some of the freshest I've ever had at a fast food restaurant, and the patty was pretty thick as well. The fries were thick as well and crispy, but could have used some salt or seasoning.

i wanted to cry eating at this location. not tears of sorrow, but tears of absolute glee and triumph. Let's talk about the prices here. These prices are what true Americans reminisce about, the tray combo price is insane for the sheer quantity and quality of food. These food prices are a recession indicator, if these go up in Salisbury, Maryland - riots and civil war is nearing. I would give up my arms for this place to stay the same. Is the food necessarily healthy for you to eat frequently? no - but I for one embellish in what life has to offer every now and then and id suggest you too in this mortal realm. I think almost everything on the menu is fried and that's okay. The only thing I would make people aware of is the somewhat relaxed service pace - the staff takes their time but are in no regards rude. Add this on top of a never ending slew of people waiting to get their intake of cook out, and you got a little wait on your hands. Anyways try this place out - it's cracked.

Cook Out always has great prices for the quality and quantity of food you're getting! Don't expect a gourmet burger, but they do have one of the finest fast food burgers on the market. Salisbury location was pretty busy when we arrived (at peak lunchtime), but they worked through orders pretty quickly. There is a good amount of space inside for eating, and the bathrooms were relatively clean.

Great Burgers Stopped here because I was in Salisbury for something else and wanted a good burger...in the end I was not disappointed. Had the cheddar burger with fries. Excellent burger and fries, which were hot when I got them, and very tasty. Had a chocolate shake on the side. All great. You order at the front and you pay, much like a Shake Shack. Except you wait for your order to be ready - they give you a number. This Cook Out is right next to Salisbury U so as expected is frequented by college students. Which I think is pretty cool. See my pics for the menus, as of my last visit in November 2023. Recommended for a quick lunch.

I ordered cheese bites with my order and they gave me fries. The employees were not very nice when I went they kind of acted like they didn't want to be there

Milk Shake ( Blueberry and Strawberry ) very good!

I very seldom get a chance to go here ( due to always being crowded ), but that's by no means a complaint, the inexpensive prices, late closing hours and directly across from a huge College...this place is on point! So whenever I see a limited line like a football player ' I tackle it ' and you should to!

Portions were on the large side so we had leftovers for a full takeaway meal. The egg rolls were new to us - corned beef dipped in a mustard sauce was an unusual, yet pleasant appetizer. They arrived hot with the interior cheese melted. Good. Side of broccoli was cooked to a soft texture - this is normal in many restaurants, yet I prefer crunchy raw so will ask for that next time. Service: Emily appeared frequently enough so we did not feel neglected. She's obviously experienced as we observed her navigating an increasingly busy clientele. Surprised for being after normal lunch time - 1:00 PM. She seemed to agree with our menu choices by sayiing "Good Choice." on our selections, Ambiance: Decor reminiscent of an Irish pub. It's NOT a college-student hangout by appearances and Emily's description. Surprising given how close this place is to the University. Tables and chairs, and booths appeared clean. Restroom was accessible, clean and well supplied. Mix of background music from Billy Joel to Irish titles. Ample free parking in front lot. Overall, a top rating due to a surprisingly pleasant experience offering unique to Salisbury food and atmosphere. Few notes: 1. Backs of booths are shared. Thus, you can feel neighboring diner shifting seats or leaning back. Like a kid kicking your airplaine seat back behind you, it's a minor irritation IF done once or twice. 2. Female servers need not wear minikilts and shorts to attract business in my opinion. Their uniform, if required, brings into question whether it's a family place. Regular length kilts would add suitable authentic atmosphere IMO.

We started with the shrimp salad on toast points, and I had an outstanding espresso martini. The appetizer was tasty, although it was very creamy such that I could not visibly recognize the shrimp. For dinner, I ordered the seafood Alfredo, and my wife ordered the market-price "Lump Crabcake" entrée. The Alfredo was very good, although the scallops were bay scallops rather than sea scallops, and for the price I expected a little more seafood. Her entrée included vegetables, while I had to order mine separately as an additional side. The biggest disappointment was the crabcakes. Despite being promoted as "lump crabcake," they appeared to be mostly filler with finely shredded crab, with perhaps 15% lump crabmeat. The flavor was good, but not exceptional, and I found the name of the entrée misleading. I am accustomed to a lump crabcake being predominantly lump crab. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding, which seemed unsure whether it wanted to be bread pudding or apple pie. It was fine, but not especially memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, received excellent service, and thought much of the food was good to very good. However, the crabcakes were quite disappointing, especially given the description and market price. Our bill before tip came close to $150, which was a bit of a shock considering the quality and portions. Calvin and the espresso martini were definite highlights, but the crabcakes did not live up to expectations.
