Service was relatively quick and the girl serving us superbly good. Food was a lot more flavorful than other locations I've tried especially the grilled Cajun Chicken sandwich. Order was just as I requested.

Chicken tenders, fries, and hush puppies!

Full disclosure: I'm obsessed with this place. Are you going to get a burger as good as at Bulldog Burger or even Mugshots? No. But I'll be darned if you can't get a heap of really tasty food that's much, MUCH fresher and tastebud-pleasing than anything you could get at ANY other fast food joint, for as cheap or cheaper than any other fast food joint. Example: two hot dogs, fries, hush puppies, and a giant tea for under 6 dollars. For six dollars, it can be that plus a really spot on milkshake--I recommend the chocolate cobbler, personally. There's also an INSANE amount of variety. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken (fried or grilled), and barbecue. 40+ milkshake flavors. About 12 different side options (including a whole dang quesadilla or an order of chicken nuggets, if fries and/or hush puppies aren't your speed like they are mine). It's open late. The service is crazy fast (as in, done with the drive through in under ten minutes despite there being 8 cars ahead of me fast) and accurate--they haven't messed me up once and I've been more often than I care to admit. If you want a fast, tasty, filling, cheap meal with all the perks of fast food and none of the drawbacks...well, Cook Out is your joint.

Messy but cheddar burger has a good, homemade chargrill flavor

Visiting from out of town. We went around 9 pm at night. Service was quick. Food was hot. I enjoyed the flavor of the char grilled Burger. They were a bit messy but full of flavor. Also, the fact that you could get a quesadilla was out of the ordinary so of course I had to try it. ITT was a tasty little oddity.

Just got a banana walnut milkshake. This is a "must have" if you like banana nut bread. So delicious. Thank you!

I've eaten here several times and my personal favorite combo is a cheddar style big double burger, a Cajun wrap, and a chicken quesadilla.

Though the venue is intimate in size, the decor is delightfully charming, creating a wonderfully authentic and inviting atmosphere. I was seated in a cozy, private section that offered the perfect setting for a quiet, relaxed luncheon. The ambiance and overall vibe were simply marvelous. The service was top-tier from start to finish attentive, remarkably gracious, and warm. To accompany my meal, I ordered a classic, crisp Coca-Cola served ice-cold. For my course, I selected the fried catfish accompanied by fries. When the platter arrived, it was an absolute triumph! The catfish was cooked to flawless perfectio crisp, tender, extraordinarily fresh, and seasoned with real mastery. It made for a deeply comforting and completely satisfying meal that exceeded every expectation. Between the pristine preparation, charming atmosphere, and flawless hospitality, The Little Dooey earns absolute full marks from me. A complete success I shall most certainly be returning whenever I am in town

They did have a wide variety of BBQ sauces to choose from, which was a nice touch and helped make the pork a little more enjoyable. The fried okra was actually pretty well prepared, but the coleslaw tasted like something you could pick up at a regular grocery store. Overall, it was an experience, but unfortunately, it just wasn't the BBQ we were hoping for.

We went back tonight and we were very pleased. The service was great, the food was back to what we had expected, I'm not sure if they had a bad night the last time we visited or if it was a major problem. Food tastes mediocre no different from little Dooyes or anywhere else--nothing special, just easy. If you call before the kitchen closes, they won't make your order-- crazy. How about 1 hour earlier? Again, either bad management or lazy staff not sure which one. If the establishment is too poorly run to take an order before kitchen closes, imagine what the back of house looks like... Imagine the staff cleanliness while cooking... Jacob P. Was our server and he was awesome. He explained the menu to us and gave us feedback on what he would recommend of the options we gave. He was constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the chips and queso. It was good, but nothing to write home about. Just your normal chips and queso. I had the catfish lagniappe and it was SUPERB! I loved the blackened catfish over the grits with the yummy crawfish sauce. The flavor combinations were on point and I throughly enjoyed every single bite! My husband had the Caribbean steak and really loved the flavor of the steak, but it was cooked a little more than the medium he asked for. The flavor made up for it though and he cleaned his plate. We both had the honey bacon brussel sprouts which were very tender and tasty as well. Pro tip, make sure to get all the yummy sauce that settles in the bottom. My son had the chicken Alfredo pasta along with a Caesar salad and he enjoyed his as well. If you're ever in the Starkville area, I highly recommend you give this place a try.
