The order arrived together (sigh). I would have preferred the gumbo to come first, then the sandwich, but hey, my mistake I guess I *should've* said something. The gumbo was hearty and had plenty of protein albeit more rice than I would've liked. NOTE: if you are not an okra fan, beware. Both of us are good with okra so it was not a problem, but they do have plenty of okra in this gumbo. My dining partner said to skip the $5 add on of shrimp because although they are plentiful, they lack flavor. The sandwich is a decent size and was very tasty too and we both gave it a thumbs up. The fries were still hot and had a nice subtle flavor. Overall we'd give this roadhouse feeling, zany atmosphered little joint on the corner of Old West Point Rd and University a recommendation. The servers could use a refresher on how to greet guests and checking on them at least once during the meal :/ (1 star deduction) Oh, hey, they also have ample outdoor seating which is pet friendly for well behaved dogs.

We went back tonight and we were very pleased.
