It was dainty, truly big enough for my grandma who barely eats. The gal that helped me today was really sweet! We chatted about how cute the cupcakes are. They are a total must have. I'm sure I'll be back soon for more treats and goodies for my grandma. And for myself too. It's hard not to want one of everything in this place. The Hello Kitty cookies will have to be a party favor for my birthday, she's my favorite. Another week and another round of treats will be in my near future.

They had some specialty donuts on display and man did they look killer! I didn't know what they were specifically but they looked delicious! All of them nicely decorated and garnished. But, with much restraint, I got a big apple fritter for my husband and some donut holes for the grandmas. My mom didn't let me grandma have any donut holes so I had to take one for the team and enjoy them for her. They were so good! They were soft and tasty. Every donut hole was nicely glazed. It's amazing you can polish off 7 donut holes and not realize that you had that many. They are so dainty that you don't realize how fast you're eating them. Each one was great! The gal that worked today was really sweet. I did take a bite of my husband's apple fritter and it was tasty as well! My husband also enjoyed it. My other grandma enjoyed her donut holes. She too didn't have a beard time eating 7 of them. I'm happy I stopped in today. Looking forward to coming back and grabbing more treats real soon.

The service (thanks to Riggen) was as sparkling as the donut case and interior of the shop is clean and although we planned to share a donut, we found much to our surprise that they make cinnamon rolls too. Have they always and we just didn't notice? Regardless, today one of those was our choice. My 100% Italian heritage husband who grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn never has quite warmed up to cinnamon rolls, a staple of my WASP Portland-Seattle upbringing so it is usual that if we order one to share then I will get the lion's share. But as we sipped our Americano's and enjoyed this one, I nearly had to stab his hand with my plastic fork to keep him from eating some of my half. Another great surprise on this visit was their donut holes, offered in a bag and little clear container, made with their sour cream cake donut batter! Samples were offered on the counter and SO good that I thought about picking up a container before we left but a woman came in while we were eating and sipping, tasted the sample and bought the bag and every one of the six or seven containers of them to take away with her. I didn't really get to check it out last week since I was in and out. Today, I really got to see all the fun details of the place. I just adore the coloring, the soft pastels is such a delicate way to brighten the venue without being too overwhelming. The big windows add so much natural light in. A small venue that's intimate and fun to enjoy your soft serve. My niece and I were instantly greeted by a handful of sweet girls behind the counter. All smiles and eager to help. I hope they maintain this kind of service. It was delightful to be greeted that way. I saw that they had pistachio last week which caught my eye! So, of course I had to have it today! I did ask for a sample just in case. It was delicious so I grabbed a kiddie pistachio and chocolate mix. My sweet niece got a kiddie strawberry with brownie pieces. The tables were actually full when we were ordering. We must have came in at the right time cause quite a few tables opened up after we paid. We got a little table by all the merch. I noticed a little fridge with pre made ice cream sandwiches to go. Sprinkles, caramel sauce, bags and of course those soft t shirts were nicely organized on the wall. You know I had to check it all out after I was done. Everything was too cute not to look at. My ice cream so was good! The pistachio and chocolate combination was chef's kiss. I always have good intentions on grabbing a kid's size to be mindful of my diet. But I always regret it cause I totally could have eaten a bigger cup of this combination. I probably should have added the brownie pieces like my neice. Adding brownies to ice cream is always a win. My neice's cup was completely cleaned out so I will take that as my neice enjoying her treat as much as I did. I'm so happy that this local business opened up a second location. The way the toppings are displayed is very high-end and makes them appear almost like a delicacy. So, great presentation! Nice menu up on the wall with clear pricing and instructions for how to order. The workers were polite and although a little frazzled because it looks like they're still learning, they were fairly efficient and knowledgeable. The reason for the missing stars is because of the most important part of a place like that, and that is flavor. I've tried multiple flavors, and all of them are extremely bland, even the vanilla which is a basic flavor, easy to create. I have to say the one that left me lacking the most was the pistachio. It was almost as if there was no flavor at all. Yes, this place will remain popular for a while because our town has been yearning for a quality ice cream shop since Scoops closed.
