I think I'm behind in my cookie dough comas because it's been almost a decade since I've been here! I'm back though, 2 kids later, and got the mini mes hooked on the magic that is the combo, cookie dough on top of ice cream. Their minds were blown when I told them they could have both... ... so thank you for having the mini size! Great for kiddos and adults. It's $5.75 and the perfect serving if you don't feel like eating your day's worth of calories in sugar and more sugar. The cookie jar ice cream flavor was right up my girls' alley, with Mother's frosted animal cookies, chocolate chips, and other cookies mixed into the base. Note there's like 16 flavors of ice cream and 8 kinds of cookie dough, so plenty to choose from and in whatever combo you want, one or the other, both, an ice cream cookie sandwich or cookie dough sandwich, just the cookies... I loved the cappuccino chip ice cream and was torn between fudge brownie cookie dough and chocolate chip cookie dough but went with the CCCD. Flavors were spot on, and the cookie dough has that granular sugar texture. Fun fact: the cookie dough is egg free, so totally safe to eat. More fun facts: - there's a wall of candy when you walk in, in case you need more sugar in your life. - walk past the register to the back for ample seating and ARCADE GAMES! This is totally new since my last visit. We enjoyed pinball, Pac-Man, and a couple disappointing rounds of the claw machine. Not my 5yo over here who cried dramatically when she didn't win a stuffy. - open til 11pm or midnight, depending on the night! So fun! If it's the stuff your dreams are made of, you can go out and do something about it! The staff is friendly and as sweet as the products! Family Owned Business, this ice cream place has been around for years! The concept is cookie dough and ice cream ! Different than the rest in Naperville and very unique. Many flavors to choose from but I went with the pecan praline. You have an option to add cookie dough to your ice cream, pretty cool right ? The place has a special surprise in the back ! Can you guess what is it ? An arcade room in the back with seating. The games to play are literally .75 cent to a $1 . Unheard of . The owners from this place are super cool and very friendly ! A classic downtown Naperville staple! Nice staff who let you try samples at your liking! They currently have 8 cookie dough flavors and 16 ice cream flavors to choose from. We tried the original Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough which was excellent. Light and the right consistency without those grainy textures in your mouth that you'd get with lower quality cookie dough. Some might say it melts in your mouth! Not to mention the portion size... the small felt like a large (not that I'm complaining though)!! They also have a large wall of candy to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. Some single row seating along the side of the restaurant (see photos), but otherwise sort of reliant on the grab-and-go style or eating outside of the shop on a nicer day. Not the best cookie dough we've ever had, but definitely up there. We can tell why Naperville hasn't been saying "no to cookie dough" for 25+ years! Rating: a very solid 4/5 for the whole experience, would like to have seen more unique "cookie dough creations!"

This is my go-to ice cream place! Plus there's also cookie dough! The ice cream isn't freezer burned and it is very creamy and flavorful! The cookie dough also was very good! You should definitely try out this spot!

This was really fun to visit! I had always wNted to try a cookie dough shop so my sister and I basically forced our family to go as soon as we drove past it. It was way too cold for ice cream but I saw they had blue moon which was incredibly tempting! My sister and I shared a small with chocolate chip cookie dough and Oreo cookie dough. I'm sad to say I didn't like it, just a weird flavor and texture for me. But my sister and dad liked it. There were awesome retro games in back, it was a lot of fun! Next time I'd just get ice cream but this is a cool place!

What a fun idea! Come get a scoop of ice cream topped with everyone's favorite...COOKIE DOUGH. Today I got the chocolate extreme ice cream with the basic chocolate chip cookie dough on top. I got the mini size because the small is always too much for me! The mini combo cost $4.50. I think that's a steal! They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors and dough flavors. I wish the ice cream was a little better, but hey...it's still all delicious. Delicious delicious delicious. The cookie dough (FYI) does not have eggs in it. So it's completely safe. In case you're one of those people who has the willpower not to eat the cookie dough at home....ha!!

We went to CDC for the first time on Sunday. The line "rope" snapped when someone bumped into it, and the man behind the counter chose to yell at all the children in line to "STOP PLAYING WITH THAT" - not a good start to the experience. If any of the children in line were playing with it, which in this particular instance they were not, there's a way to handle it without screaming at small children. I told him they were not playing with it (my kids and several others in line) and he just looked down and ignored me. We proceed through line, the young man scopping misses an ice cream so I ask the same 'older and larger' man for the last of our order, he gives an aggravated look and although he did go scoop it he was clearly not pleased. After we paid for our ice cream, the absolutely condescending and rude "Thanks a lot for coming in" in the least friendly tone I can imagine, from that same man was noticed by all 6 adults with our party. I am just sad I did not get his name. After three years in Naperville this is the last treat shop downtown we had not tried yet... and I LOVE Michigan ice cream, but CDC won't be getting my business again. I'll stick with Haagen Daaz or Red Mango or drive over to DQ. What an awful Sunday ice cream night experience. read more

I LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEE cookie dough! Any and all kinds, in large quantites and in small quantites. EVERY KIND, I love them all. To get to the point, I was so ready to get my cookie dough on, then I tried their chocolate chip cookie dough and it tasted kinda funky. I'm not being mean and saying it is bad, but man it tasted weird. Then I tried the FUDGE BROWNIE cookie dough, SO GOOD! So I got the cake batter ice cream with Fudge brownie cookie dough(small), but the cake batter ice cream had like ice crystals in it. Like when you put ice cream in your freezer for a while and it doesn't taste too good because it tastes icy? Do you know what I mean? That's how it tasted. I say if you want cake batter that's really good, go to Coldstone! Anyways, the cookie dough made my stomach feel like sick and bloated, yes bloated, that is the word I was looking for. It just wasn't as good as I hoped. PLEASE don't let this stop you from going there yourself, experience it at least once and if you find you like it, great, if not we're in the same boat :) read more

My sister and her family were in town and looking for something different to try. So, we found this establishment when doing a search for ice cream. If I were rating the food items and flavor it would be a much higher rating. However, we were extremely disappointed in the store front and their ability to accommodate handicapped customers. We had a 4 yr old little girl that was very upset she could not go in due to the steps and the space inside unable to accommodate her wheelchair. When I asked for a menu to take outside for everyone to order from they had nothing. After taking a picture of the listed flavors then going back outside to get orders we ended up behind 2 large groups of people that were not even there when we arrived. This place made it very hard for a family with a disabled child to enjoy a treat. Since we enjoyed the food we will probably be back but we will never be able to come as a family so the chance will most likely be slim. read more

We have 8 flavors of Raw Cookie Dough and 24 flavors of Super Premium Ice Cream which gives us 192 flavors of Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Our Raw Cookie Dough is made without eggs so it is safe to eat. Many customers just get a scoop of Raw Cookie Dough in a cup and eat it with a spoon! Established in 1994.

Cookie Dough Creations was founded in 1994 by Jim Bewersdorf, an ex-software salesman sick of the corporate world. Jim began making cookie dough ice cream pies out of his home and selling them to restaurants. Chefs and restaurant owners went nuts - nobody had ever offered them such unique gourmet desserts made with raw edible cookie dough! Jim's original Cookie Dough Ice Cream Pies and other gourmet desserts are sold in more than 100 restaurants in Chicagoland. In 1995 the CDC retail store opened its doors in Naperville, Illinois. To our knowledge, this store is the only place on the planet selling Raw Edible Cookie Dough. We are a one-of-a-kind gem in a world of cookie-cutter franchises and low quality food. We never uses mixes or artificial ingredients. Everything is made from scratch in our Naperville facility. I have a strong sweet tooth and I am greedy. So I generally like to try more than one item in one sitting. These portions are not small and I would recommend sharing if you want to try a variety. I have monthly appointments in the general area and I try to plan it so that I will have enough time before or after my appointment to make a quick stop at Fiene's. My visits are usually during the week and I would be in and out within 10 minutes.

Im not sure whats goin on with all dem dere not so happy customers wit dis place. Iffin ya ask me this place was a better find than that $20 bill I left in my coveralls dat one time! Heres ma story! Me Sadie and Sally (Sadie is ma pet sheep and Sally is my pet piggy) well, we was all hankerin for sumthin sweet one Friday night after goin fishin. All three of us was way out and found dis here place in some town calt Naderville or sumthin like that. We done pulled the truck up and started drivin around this town and was kinda weirded out cause there wernt no pickups anywhere but ours. I think dem police was lookin at us kinda funny to. I was thinkin at first it was because they never seen a guy with a beard before but someone says it was prolly Sadie and Sally (Sadie is ma pet sheep and Sally is my pet piggy) ridin in the front seat. Dont know why dat would be since thats where they always ride but whatever. Well, ta make a long story short, we pulled up and saw COOKIE DOUGH CREATIONS and man did I HOOT! I love me some good cookie dough since I always forget to pay the darned gas bill and cant ever cook it anyway. Not to mention Sally always gets a bit nervous since ol Billy came over one time and turned the stove on and tried to scare her sayin he wanted some bacon...boy did I give him a woopin! I discovered this ice cream place through my wife and her friends and I was pleasantly surprised by this store. Mixing ice cream and cookie dough is not new, but doing it on the spot with a large selection of different flavors of cookie dough and ice cream is. You can also order your own specialized ice cream sandwich between two cookies of your choice. I really love the product, but there are two problems that you should be aware of. First, there is only minimal seating in the store itself and no space outside for more than a single bench, so plan on taking the ice cream with you to the river walk or other location. Additionally, the lines that can form on weekends and evenings can be very long, stretching outside and it is not unheard of to wait 20-30 minutes for service. Overall, I would still say this is my favorite local ice cream store, beating out Oberweis. read more

Holy Cookie Dough! This place is THE BOMB. The first time I went, I didn't really understand. Cookie Dough What? What are they doing with cookie dough that's not baking cookies? We went in to see what it was all about, it was pure curiosity, really. I had no idea that I was doomed. Oh boy. Oh. Boy. They have a ton of flavors of ice cream, and they have a bunch of different mounds of cookie dough, and you pick your ice cream and a cookie dough TOPPING. Hot fudge topping on a sundae? Fantastic little place! All the different ice creams and cookie doughs are sweet and delicious and amazing. Also very cool of them to adjust the prices so you don't have to deal with coins. I would highly recommend getting the cake batter cookie dough - it's got chunks of cake and frosting! The only negative is that it's a very small place. It gets crowded quickly, so seating is limited. If you can find a table, it probably isn't clean. If it's super crowded, people lose their minds and start sitting on the steps right in front of the doorway. But, every time I go downtown Naperville, I will 100% stop here. read more

Whenever I go to Naperville for a day of carousing downtown, I always go here. I skip lunch and just go here. I am actually glad I do not live closer to this place, or I would live on their sundaes and nothing else. My favorite is plain vanilla ice cream with M&M cookie dough on it. There is nothing like the combination of ice cream, M&M's, and cookie dough. Believe me, they scoop on that cookie dough like nobody's business. God, now my mouth is watering. Just...watering. One word says it all!!! YUMMY!!!! I grew up in the city so Tastee Freeze is what I was used to. CDC is worlds beyond. I went here on a date and the date sucked, but it did give me a new addiction- raw cookie dough that was actually safe to eat. The entire time I was eating it all I could do was hear my mother's voice telling me not to because I could get saminilla (SP?) )Yes the date was that bad) I was able to enjoy EVERY bite of deffiance. read more

I am amazed we didn't try this place as soon as we heard about it a few months ago! We got the Oreo ice cream with oreo cookie dough and the super dark chocolate ice cream with turtle cookie dough.... We got small sizes and it was a MASSIVE amount. Everything is so rich, but sooooo good. I think they are comparable to Cold Stone prices. The employees were friendly and suggested some mixes for us to try. read more

If you love raw cookie dough you'll love this place. All the cookie dough is made without eggs so it is safe to eat which is great. The ice cream is really creamy and topped with cookie dough its a perfect match. The servings are huge so you may want to share. I recommend the classic choco chip cookie dough with vanilla ice cream. read more

Cookies are probably one of the best desserts eaten raw. I can't count how many times I wanted to eat all the cookie dough prior to baking, but worried about getting sick. Well, Cookie Dough Creations, in Naperville, solved that problem. read more

Ellice is a monster. Went in there to do business and was harassed and screamed at for no reason. I frequently hear bad things about the managers behavior and I advise no one to come here. Go to cold stone instead. read more
