The Cookie Monstah truck never disappoints. My favorite is the sugar cookie with the m&ms. The peanut butter and salted caramel are also my favorites. The sandwiches are good but they are huge so you really have to be hungry or willing to share with someone! Next time you see the truck don't hesitate to try it out. We rented a Cookie Monstah truck for our wedding dessert service, and we were quite happy with the experience. They customize an ice cream sandwich menu to our preferences. The ice cream sandwiches were HUGE! And delicious. They were also able to accommodate our guests with dietary restrictions with alternative cookies and/or ice creams, made to order. Communication before our event was very good. Our venue and wedding coordinator reported that Cookie Monstah was a joy to work with. Service was quick and efficient. They were able to pull up on time and serve all 80+ of our guests easily within an hour and a half. They let me and my wife make our own sandwiches at the end of the night, as well as go home with extra cookies. The cookie monstah made a stop on my college campus today and it was a great surprise as we gear up for finals! I opted for a classic chocolate chip cookie as I wasn't feeling ice cream sandwiches, and I received two of the most delicious chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. I only wished I had popped them in the microwave for a few seconds and warmed them up a bit! I was soooo excited to see them yesterday (Sunday, August 7th) even in the 95° weather! I ordered myself an ice cream sandwich with two salted caramel cookies & vanilla ice cream ($7)! It was absolutely delicious! I LOVE their salted caramel cookies!! Thankfully I was able to order a dozen salted caramel cookies ($28) for pick up on Sunday! I found out about this food truck and their bake shops from an online friend of ours who happens to love Cookie Monster even more than me. I checked their website when we arrived to the area for Fourth of July weekend and saw they were out at the Greenway Carousel between Faneuil Hall and the Aquarium on Saturdays and Sundays, so we stopped by there on Sunday Afternoon. My wife and I both shared Red Monstah and Blueberry Buckle Sandwiches. The portions were very large and we could not finish them but our best friend finished his sandwich. Omg... my company has this Food Truck every Thursday and it is DANGEROUS because it is SO GOOD, yet the portions are MASSIVE. This place is known for their ice cream sandwiches, and everything is DELICIOUS. We were heading over to the food stalls at Faneuil Hall for a snack before dinner, but upon spotting Cookie Monstah, we never made it there. The truck was near the carousel, which allowed for plentiful seating and some fun people watching while we enjoyed our treats. A food truck that combines two of my favorite things: Cookies and ice cream, there's no way that can't be good! Service was very efficient, and we got in at a good time--a long line formed just after we placed our orders. I went with the salted caramel cookie (who wouldn't?) and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream, an excellent combination if I do say so myself. Others in the party went with the M&M cookie, or a red velvet ice cream sandwich, which all received top marks from the judges. We saw the truck and me and my sister ordered 1 cookie, but instead they gave us two! People raved about the Salted caramel, but we were torn between that and chocolate. They didn't want to see us choose so they gave us both! The cookies were AWESOME of course, (moist, chewy, but crisp) but when I went to take a picture, they did the silly pose! I went to the Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival where they were tons of food trucks. I tried Cookie Monstah for the first time and got the Slim Shady ice cream cookie sandwich, this consisted of rich vanilla ice cream smushed between two M&M cookies. Fabulous! Surprisingly it didn't melt too much while walking the beach. Staff was patient and friendly. Product was amazing. Wow, that is all I can say. I came out of the Park St station and saw this beautiful truck waiting for me. The guy working was very friendly and helpful. It seemed like a one man show and there was a few people in line, but he was taking care of people quickly. I initially thought the prices seemed high, but then he handed me this massive cookie sandwich. The cookies are fresh and I loved my combination of M&M Sugar with Chocolate Chunk. I had such a disappointing experience with this company. I hired them for my daughter's birthday party 5 months in advance. I was told that there was no set time frame that they stay, and that the driver leaves after the sandwiches were all handed out. 2 days before the event I received an email stating they were only staying an hour, and that they would give me the rest of my sandwiches to keep for the guests who didn't get to have them. When I emailed them back, I was told the driver needed to go to another party after mine. They only contact you through email, you cannot have a conversation on the phone with them. But it gets better! When the driver arrived, he didn't have the ice cream I ordered special for the event. He had to tell my guests that he didn't have it every time they ordered it, because it was on the personalized menu, they have you create. Then, when my guests would order, he would ask them what was in that sandwich!!! I paid a great deal of money, and was treated like a complete afterthought, when I booked them months in advance. I've been to plenty of food trucks, even food truck "wars", but I've never gone out of my way to leave a YELP about one until I ate here. I've seen the CM truck on TV. Then while walking on the Long Wharf on Boston Harbor (by the carousel)...... THERE SHE BLOWS! Like Capt Ahab's white whale I beheld a site for sore eyes (sore cause we had a few too many Old Fashions the night before..but that's for another review....LOL) This truck rocks! You can order one of about of about 10 home baked (huge) cookies or You can order a cup of ice cream with or without cookies crumbled in it. BUT....I strongly recommend if you are a tourist & you get one shot at this ........going for the cookie ice cream sandwich. Pick a cookie,....pick an ice cream and voila! Or pick one of the many standards they have on hand on the menu. This isn't that type of cookie. Not for me at least. It's good though. The service rocks though and pushes this up one star. The girls were super friendly and chatty and gave me a sticker and honestly I enjoyed talking to them more than I enjoyed their cookie. But to their credit the cookie was warm, and I can see how people would like it. What a happy moment it was stumbling across the Cookie Monstah in Boston Common on a hot day. The name gave me a chuckle, but the cookie and ice cream combos gave me some feels. Everyone working the truck was incredibly happy. They were laughing and joking out loud as we approached and carrying that kind of joy around is infectious. I couldn't help but smile when I finally got a chance to talk to them. After a couple of cursory questions, we went with the Salted Caramel cookie with Java Cookies & Cream and the Birthday Cake cookie with Chocolate Chip Mint. It was the perfect treat. There wasn't a line when we stopped by, so they let us go hog wild and select two different ice cream flavors to go with our two types of cookies. They even let us decide whether to have two scoops be set side by side or one on top of the other. Nice! For $5, we got ourselves a cookie sandwich consisting of snickerdoodle (more soft than chewy... chewy would be better) and salted caramel (chewy with chunks, and better of the two) with pumpkin and apple crisp ice cream (apple!). If you think this is a bit too much for one appetite, they also offer a bowl of ice cream with a single cookie for $4.50 to help you feel a tad less sinful. The Cookie Monstah truck stopped by my workplace today for a private event--woo, free ice cream and cookies! They had 3 set flavors of 1 scoop of ice cream + 1 cookie in a bowl (called Cookie n' Cream on the menu). To the best of my memory the flavors were 1. Double Chocolate (double chocolate cookies with chocolate ice cream), 2. Sugar in My Coffee (sugar cookie with coffee ice cream), and 3. chocolate chip cookie with oreo possibly? (TBH I stopped reading at Double Chocolate). The ice cream scoop was pretty normal sized and the taste was perfectly sweet and rich. No complaints! The cookie was also a decent size--if not in circumference, definitely in thickness. The chocolate chunks in the double chocolate cookie were somewhat melty on the inside, which was awesome, although a bit odd since the cookie itself was not warm--if only! It was actually kind of hard on the outside but luckily nice and soft inside. The taste wasn't bad, but didn't blow me away. There seemed to be a clear note of salt in the cookie and by eating the ice cream and cookie separately I missed a great opportunity to balance out the saltiness with the sweet ice cream. I'd advise getting a sandwich to force you to eat the two together and avoid the messiness of trying to combine a cookie with ice cream in a bowl. I'd come again to try another flavor of cookie and one of the frozen yogurt options! read more
