I was excited to try this place. The area is cute with a variety of seating areas and fire pits. The staff in the truck was very nice but the food left a lot to be desired. Staff 4* Shrimp 3* were on the smaller side and a bit chewy Scallops 1* these were not good. I think they were actually bad as they tasted metallic Haddock 4* the haddock was excellent. I wish I had just ordered this. It was a nice large piece that flaked nicely and was very fresh. Tarter Sauce 4* Onion Rings 3.5* they had a nice flavor and were crispy. Some were over battered Fries 2* if they were cooked a little longer and crispy they would have been great. The seafood on top really made these mushy. If you like crispy fries asked for them to be put on the side and cooked longer. Overall I was disappointed with the food but it was mostly the scallop issue that pushed this to 2*

    Cold lobster roll -- delicious!

Quite possibly one of the best lobster rolls in all of New England! I prefer mine cold, and Salty's offers both. The cold roll is served in a toasted bun with shredded lettuce and scallions. It had just enough mayo and the lobster meat itself was to die for... literally melt in your mouth good! Our party split two orders each of the French fries and onions rings, and they were piping hot and so fresh. The onion rings were also probably the best I've ever had! The guys in the truck running the show are super friendly and efficient, too. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely zero complaints about Salty's Lobster Shack. I'd been wanting to try it for a few weeks and finally stopped in and was actually quite surprised to see several other food trucks and a nice picnic area set up. I had one goal in mind - Salty's lobster roll so I didn't try the other trucks but they appeared to be permanent and had a great variety of foods. Next visit! Salty's has a great menu. Plenty of seafood to choose from and the prices are more than fair. I ended up trying the lobster tater tots - so good! Tons of big pieces of lobster and really filling. Also got a stuffed quahog. Very interesting and huge (perhaps not for me but my dining partner loved it). And the star of the show, of course, was the lobster roll. It appeared small but really it's just a smaller roll and it's stuffed with lobster meat. I mean stuffed - like just tons of yummy lobster meat, including huge claws, with celery and mayo on a toasted roll. Drooling thinking about it. If you're into lobster rolls you simply must stop here and get one!

Went back to Salty's and love the new setup with other trucks... now there is something for everyone! Yay! The food was killer yet again. $29 per roll July '21, which everyone will agree is a lot, but this is a wonderful roll and worth every bite. Lobster is in the expensive side right now. My friend and I got 1 cold and 1 hot, plus onion rings and lobster tots. The tots were fabulous and $16. The onion rings ($8) were great, but not special enough to order again. We couldn't eat it all and the tots were better. Still no beer, but we BYOB and nobody said anything. I just can't have a water with my lobster roll. Duh.

UM WOW. THE HYPE IS REAL PEOPLE. GET THE DAMN LOBSTER ROLL. I consider myself a total New England lobstah snob and have tried lobster rolls near and far. Salty, you had me at hello. The scallions, the fresh lobster meat, THE SIZE, the buttery roll, the vibes the chill music, the location, yes to all the feels. HEAVEN IS REAL. All the stars for you Salty. Take all my money. No frills, just some dudes doin their thang and whipping up some amazing fresh grub. Looked like a little man selling some merch, all for the family vibes. SUPPORT LOCAL. Ive seen some people bitchin about when they sell out, give me a break. Working in the industry I have nothing but the highest respect for this local joint. FYI : Selling out means they are doing something right, get in line like the rest of us. FRESH FRESH FRESH. I'm forever a fan, can't wait to be back. Bravo!

Absolutely do not miss this place! This is such a cool spot! My fiancé and I lamented on how friendly the service was, and noticed how the staff greeted every single person and made them feel welcome. The ambiance is great, with a fire place, twinkle lights, and lobster shaped chairs. The lobster roll and fries were 10/10. They stay open until the end October and we'll certainly have to return before then! What a gem!

That settled it; we had to try it. Out of sheer excitement or exhaustion, we forgot to make a reservation. I quickly remembered this mistake as we entered Hooked. People filled every table and seat at the bar. I looked at my bestie with great concern because we were anticipating our first meal of the day. The hostess welcomed us warmly, and then she asked the dreadful question, "Do y'all have a reservation?" We sadly said no, and she immediately began to express regret. Maybe it was the "Grad2026" headband or the disappointment on our faces that caused her to have pity on us because she told us to wait one second. The hostess walked to the bar, then she went to the main seating area, lastly she went next door where there's additional seating. She returned with a smile and motioned for us to follow her. The hostess found us seats at the bar! We ordered, chatted with the locals, and ate a delicious meal. We even made room for dessert which we learned was made by the owner, the hostess! Whenever we visit New Hampshire again, we're definitely stopping by Hooked!

I was heart broken but it was my own undoing as I djdnt make a reservation. Just as I was opening yelp to find another place to try she came and got me from outside as a spot opened up! That's service! And I won't forget it. All the staff was very kind and she checked in with me several times during my meal to make sure it was going well. The ambiance is a little noisy but it's a raw bar that has sports on. The food is delicious. I could have eaten the Cippino forever! The broth was a complex delicious and perfectly spiced tomato base. The seafood was plentiful and large sized. I have never seen shrimp so big! I also ate oysters and had an amazing home made peaches and cream cheese cake. Listen I don't really like cheese cake but I could eat that cake everyday for the rest of my life. Everything from start to finish once I sat down. Was delicious and the staff was very kind. This food was fired fresh in the kitchen. I could see if from my bar seat. So if it took a little bit it was worth it! I'd eat here the next time I'm in Manchester 10/10

We got a bunch if appetizers - started with the calamari which just has such a good flavor with the marinara and cherry pepper rings in it, then the crab rangoon dip which was okay but not my favorite, the portion was really small with a ton of a chips but no dip. We also got the crispy green beans which are exactly what you expect, I do wish they had a bit more seasoning because I don't love the wasabi dipping sauce they come with. We then got the jalapeno and bacon wrapped scallops, as well as the seared pork gyozas which are by far the best appetizer on the menu - the chili slaw it lays on has the most insane flavor and the crispy outside of the gyoza is just to die for. We all got various meals but me and a friend split the hot honey salmon sushi roll and the umami veggie sushi roll - both were amazing!! I will always get the umami, as basic as it is the flavor is just unreal. Only negative thing I have to say is that the service was very very slow, for a Monday night at 7pm, it was busy but not busy enough to not be greeted at the table for 25 minutes, then wait for drinks for 20 minutes and then not get to put our order in until an hour of sitting at the table, so that was a bit disappointing but first time we have had this issue.

Been going here for years, rarely disappointed. Recently they were closed for "renovations" for awhile. That might also mean they changed hands, sold out. In my experience, that is never a good sign, the new owners will surely ruin a good thing, they'll cut back on quality, raise prices, and change the recipes. My best guess is that's what happened to The Lobster Claw. Or they just went downhill. Went here last week for lunch. Walked in, where am I?! They now have a big divider between the seating area and ordering. You're corralled into this area first. The giant blackboard menu is gone. Now they have a small, cramped, menu above the register. I had to squint to read it all. I gave the girl my order which she got wrong THREE times. The Calamari basket, well done I said. I always used to tell them well done because it tastes better and the breading doesn't slide off the fish. Now where do I go to pick up my food when it's done? There's a sign that say's "Takeout Pickup" next to the register. Is that all one word, or for takeout orders and picking up what you just ordered? So I wandered aimlessly out of the dividing area and into the dining area. A window at the end with a sign, "BEER AND WINE." Is that where I go or is that for ordering booze and paying for it? So I sat down at a table and waited for my number to be called. I got my food pretty quick. I asked the new kid, looks like the old staff was not there anymore, for a lid and a bag for my thimbleful cup of chowder, that cost $7.00 by the way, to take home. He acted like I was inconveniencing him. This is after he plopped the tray down and spilled some of the chowder broth onto the tray. Thanks a lot Junior! Sat down to eat. Calamari...not well done. In fact it looked and tasted under done. It was chewy, and the breading was falling off. ONE tarter sauce with it. They used to give out two and then asked you if that was enough. Saving money for the renovations are we? The fries under the Calamari were soggy, greasy, cold, and under cooked as well. I didn't finish my meal obviously because to be frank, it sucked. Later on at home I tried the fish chowder. Maybe at least that will be the saving grace. Nope. It was the consistency of oatmeal, like it was put in a blender. Bland and watery as well. $ 30.00 I'm out for a meal that I could have got at Market Basket for one third the price for frozen fish sticks and a can of chowder that would have tasted better than that disaster. Next time I'm in the area and want some fish, I'll be going to McDonald's for a Filet-O-Fish meal instead. And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust...don't let them get you too.

I suppose "rustic" would be a good term to describe the interior. The menu offers steaks at prices you'd have a difficult time finding elsewhere in the area, plus chicken, lamb, veal, and interesting specials. Our large group was seated over two tables, which worked well for us in terms of quality conversation among interested folks. Service was quick, friendly, and professional, and all our dinners came out at the same time. We ordered a few appetizers. They were good but a little inconsistent. The mozzarella sticks, homemade, were a little unconventional, with a panko-mozzarella crust. Better, in my opinion, were the buffalo chicken tenders. I mis-read the description of my Argentine Bowl, thinking it was more of a salad. It was steak tips, avocado, tomatoes, and black beans over rice, quite tasty. The person sitting next to me ordered a dinner special the lamb shank osso bucco. While the meat was delicious and tender, it could have had even more seasoning on it, and there was an unexpected amount of fat on the shank. Parking is a little awkward given the shape of the shopping center, and the location of the restaurant. It was nice to see signs designating spaces closest to the restaurant reserved for their customers. This restaurant was the go-to restaurant for the family hosting the dinner event. I can understand why, and I wholeheartedly agree.
