I tried Snowy Village Dessert Cafe on an impulse at Renton Landing a few days ago. Read on to hear…read moremy thoughts! The food: I ordered the chocolate and strawberry mini bingsoo. (They also had the most amazing Oreo cheesecake I've ever seen in the display case!) Anyway, the bingsoo was amazing! The texture was similar to ice cream and the flavors were amazing. I also got mini mochi with mine and they were so good! However, just one mini bingsoo was around $12... The service: It did take roughly 15ish minutes to receive my food. They also forgot the mini mochi, but gave it to me when I asked and even gave me an extra little container of it! Which was super sweet of them. The environment: This is possibly the cutest building I've been in in a long time. The decor, the layout... all of it is fire. I love the plants they have at the tables and around the building!! The menu was also incredibly easy to read and understand. There are kiosks to order at and they have photos of each menu item (which was great because I originally wasn't sure what bingsoo was). There are plenty of tables, chairs, and room. There's only one single stall bathroom, however. Final thoughts: I really loved the bingsoo, it was delicious. I would love to come back for that cheesecake I saw in the display case... However, it is spendy so if I do indulge myself, it will definitely have to be only a rare treat. Also, the waiting time for my food was a little bit disappointing.

Let me say I went through my emo phase years back and I liked certain songs but even back then I would think this was weird: I dont think Hollywood Undead singing about unaliving themselves and the different ways they'd do it is an appropriate song to play in an icecream shop... It felt so weird. All the songs were the grunge emo type, which I get is someone's personal taste, but you'd think the owners would monitor what is being played. The atmosphere is so different. The price is insane for what the product is. I got the mango sticky rice and before they would put a cute thai tea bear or something on top, with a lot of rice. Now its this tiny little sample size cup of rice, nothing cute about the food, so overpriced. I get why they almost never have people there anymore. I don't know what happened but the brand took a major hit.

The croffle was about $11-12 and tiny, smaller than my fork and about the size of my palm (I'm a small person), so that's saying something. On top was this pandan layer that was more like an inedible jelly than anything else. It was thick, sticky, stuck to my teeth, and the sweetest thing I've ever tasted! (Not in a good way). The latte was another $5-6 and just as underwhelming.. Everything was way too sweet and the portions do not match the price at all. Not worth it.
