This is pretty much right next to jacks inn ,it's in an area filled with other warehouses . You can't really tell it is cookkwees until you drive up and park . The whole area smells so good because it is where the Maui cookies are baked !! You can order any of the cookies they sell at abc / grocery store etc . It is $1 cheaper than the grocery stores . Wow! These cookies are phenomenal! Most people have had the Honolulu cookie company cookies - either from the actual store, or from Costco that now carry their family size miniature cookie bag. However, once you have the pineapple macadamia or any other cookies here, you will know that this is even better. You can find them in some grocery stores, but going to their warehouse is the best for the reason of 1) fresh! 2) better price as you cut out the middle man and directly benefit the actual makers of these amazing cookies. There's no sampling here, but you don't need to as you can buy a selection, try them and then get more of what you like another day. In January, each bag of cookie was $4 (yes! This is cheap for cookies with good flavor and texture!) Definitely will be back, or I'll be ordering online to have it shipped to mainland. read more

My cousin could not stop raving about these cookies, so we made a pit stop and came to the source! Now I understand and appreciate why she enjoys these so much! This is not your typical cookie. Personally I prefer a soft and chewy cookie. Theirs are airy and crispy which make them uniquely their own...delicious nonetheless! The friendly "auntie" at the factory said they've been there for years, and still going strong! You can purchase them for $4/pack. We left there with $20 worth of cookies, which you can see the flavors I chose in the pic. We ate the entire coffee one on the way back to Ka'anapali...LOL! Yes, it's in a warehouse area but they DO sell cookies! This is a must stop!! The cookies are super fresh and the guy selling it is filled with Aloha spirit. I highly recommend going directly to the source of these yummy cookies. They were $4 each. read more

Stumbled upon these Maui cookies when we got a free sample at a local hotel we were staying and they were so good that we went to the factory to buy more! No tours given, unassuming factory looking building where they produce the cookies. Nice lady comes out to you when you pull up and asks what flavors you want. Got 6 different flavors to try! $3.50 a bag if you pay with cash! read more

Maui trip 8/17-8/23/2021! *Vaccinated. Masked. Stayed away from large crowds as much as possible. Respected the land.* If you're a Cookie Monster like me... you have to go to Cook Kwee's!!! This cookie factory might be difficult to find because it's located next to other industrial-like buildings and businesses. You'll probably think it doesn't exist but I'm telling you... IT DOES. You'll probably think they don't even sell cookies here, but they do. They don't really have a sign along the street to help you find their spot but follow maps as best as you can and looking for their Cook Kwees sign on their actual business location, Yes, it's a garage looking spot but park, walk in and someone will be with you shortly. You'll most likely smell the fresh cookies baking in their huuuuuuuge oven, too! They have 10 flavors and each bag is $3 each, I'm telling you... it's worth it. More fresh, saves you a little cash compared to getting it at a store. If you're trying to buy gifts for people, this should be on your list. The boo and I bought 2 of every flavor except for shortbread. See my picture for their flavors! It was worth the buy because our families back home loved it a lot! They bake and package every yummy cookie in here which is pretty cool to experience tbh. Let me talk about the cookie. It looks thick but there's something about its airy-ness that make it so unique. When you take a bite, it's almost like you're actually eating a thinner cookie; almost like a crust of something which gives you that crunchy and buttery cookie consistency. INCREDIBLY good cookies. Everywhere we stopped we bought a different flavor if we could. On the way home I went to the warehouse and bought a whole box to bring back to Florida. I love the Maui Cookies and especially it's on Sale at Longs Drug right now. My favorite is the White chocolate macadamia nut. But be very careful of the expiration date it shows 9/20 which is 2 months old. The other Cookies have a longer shelf life as you can see on my pics I took. I notice not only at Longs have this problem with this vendor I seen the same problem at Times supermarket as well. I understand sometimes you still can eat certain items after the expiration date but not these cookies because it taste oily and rancid. I noticed I haven't written a review before, so I figured it was about time. I prefer going to the warehouse to buy my cookies, since I'll spend less and can pick whatever flavors I desire. They also put them into a box, which makes them easier to hand-carry back home. You can find these cookies in the store, but since I was back on Maui recently, I decided to just grab them while I was in Kahului. The cookies are nice and crispy and come in a variety of flavors for you to enjoy. My fave is the Chocolate Chip Mac Nut, but I pretty much enjoy all of them. You can't go wrong! read more

Cook Kwee's Maui Cookies are shortbread cookies made in Maui. Cookies are always a yummy treat, and these locally-made cookies are a great gift to take home with you. There are a few different flavors to choose from. Some of the flavors are chocolate chip, chocolate chip macadamia nut, peanut butter, pineapple macadamia nut, and Kona coffee macadamia nut. Each flavor comes in a 6 oz bag, and each bag has 9 cookies. Some people rave that these are the best cookies on earth. Personally, I think these cookies are good but not mind-blowing amazing. This location is the warehouse. It is not a gift shop. It is not a store. It is a warehouse. There are no posted business hours so you can try your luck, or you can call before coming. It is probably safe to assume something along normal business hours though. Parking is available on the street though it may be tough to find a spot on the weekdays due to the location being around a bunch of other warehouses and businesses. I easily found parking on a Saturday. The cookies are $3 for each bag. You can also buy a box that can hold 3 bags. It is much cheaper to buy it directly from the warehouse than from a grocery store or gift shop. Stock up on Maui cookies here! read more

OMG! These cookies are to die for. As the other reviews have stated it's a little hard to find but rolled down the window and take a deep breath and follow the aroma as you drive up and see them making fresh batches of cookies. We were greeted as we walked up and were given a list a flavors. They have about 10 different ones. The price is cheaper than in the stores. We went to Walmart and saw their packages were 1.50 more than what we paid. That is the equivalent of an extra bag of cookies if you buy 3 or more! read more

Went round and round in circles but so glad we found this place. As soon as I seen the cookie sign, I could smell the fresh baked cookie smell in the air. It was hard to find an available parking as there are near by businesses all around. But I was able to park our vehicle right across near the dumpster there wasn't any smell lol As we walked up, I was kind of double thinking myself as if I could walk in as a customer and just buy cookies by the bags but I said I took the drive so I gotta at least ask. There's lots and lots of boxes of cookies towering along the side and backside of the racks. Soon enough a female comes out pushing lot of cookies freshly backed on a cookie cooling rack. OMG. I was drooling. I kindly asked the lady if I could purchase, she didn't turn us down, she immediately said ofcourse. We talked stories and soon enough found out that she bought out the owners a few years ago. I met the previous owners back on Oahu so the owner and I ended up talking more. She was so nice. She had even given my friend and I discount . I'll be sure to return every time I fly back to Maui!!! read more

Great gift to give. I love the coconut macadamia and the original macadamia the most. I eat 3 at onnce the first time i opened it. The second time i ate 4. Oh my. I try to limit myself and or share. Love this place. I went in for broken cookies. Love them, all the cookies that r not perfectly round r placed in plastic bags. In the past they sold this for just a couple of dollars. This time, they refused to take money and gave me a large bag. Brought them home and used the cookies, I couldn't eat because there were so many, and used them for a banana pudding crust... so yummy. Total hidden gem! So glad I found this place on yelp! It's in a warehouse and a little creepy when you walk in. The garage door was open so we walked in and said "hellllloooo?" A woman came out and opened up some boxes and told us the flavors. Such a tough decision! Coffee, Mac nut, peanut butter, chocolate chip... We bought them all. Great omiyage for friends and family back home. Prices were cheaper than the local drug stores and Walmart so it's worth a trip if you're buying a lot. Enjoy! read more

These cookies are very good. Granted I haven't tried all of their flavors but I LOVE their pineapple Mac nut cookie. Has a hint of pineapple in it and the crunch of the Mac nuts. Awesome. I also went to their factory where they made the cookies. The employees that work there are very friendly and even allowed us to try a cookie fresh off the batch. Very cool. This is a small family owned business and they only have 7 employees on staff. read more

THE BEST STORE-BOUGHT COOKIES EVER! They have several varieties but my 2 faves are the Shortbread and Chocolate Chip. Super buttery and crunchy. And the best part is that you can find it at almost any store on Maui including Walmart. Price is between $2-$3 per pack. The only thing that comes remotely close is the Cookie Corner on Oahu. I received a really awesome surprise from my granddaughter today. It was a dozen bags of Maui Cook Kwee's cookies in a variety of flavors. My husband and I visited the factory/shop where they actually make the cookies while on vacation. Everyone was absolutely the friendliest people we encountered on the island. We brought a bunch of cookies home with us. Unfortunately, I didn't taste the pineapple macadamia cookie until we were already home, because OMG they are good!!! The pineapple is ground up in the cookie, so there are no chunks, but the flavor is evenly distributed throughout. They are super crispy and light- the bag was gone before I knew it!! I wish there were more macadamias, though.... I will be stocking up on these as soon as I get a chance!! read more

I just had the coconut/Mac nut shortbread cookies in FL after Hurricane Isaac. OMG!!! Da best. I got them from Safeway Kapahulu. Now I wish i had gotten more...get them while you're in Hawaii and hand carry on plane back so they won't crumble. I wouldn't suggest checked luggage or shipping these babies. read more

Their iced version isn't your typical ice cube kind, but rather it's made with finely shaved ice from, you guessed it, Ululani's. Now, while I love Ululani's shave ice, I am not a big fan of using shave ice ice in my coffee. The ice melts way too fast and doesn't keep my drink cool for very long. Hence, the four stars. Regular ice cubes or even coffee ice cubes would be better, but it does the job and it's cheaper than other places at just under $6. They've improved quite a bit compared to when they first opened this location after having to close their Kihei shop for a while. I've watched as they quite literally were figuring things out as they went with the makings of the coffee, but they seem to have a better handle on everything now. If you want a bite to eat, they offer a handful of their greatest hits of baked goods like their banana and mango breads, scones, filled malasadas, cookies, and musubis. I recommend their filled malasadas (ube + lilikoi) and their mango/banana bread. Those are winners for sure.

I had heard about the Maui Cookie Lady cookies in early 2016 and knew that I had to get one the next time we visited. At that time, the cookies were only available at various local markets that would get a delivery once or twice a week. There was no dedicated retail store then. In November 2016, it finally happened! I was able to find a small supply of Mitzi's, the Maui Cookie Lady's, cookies at the Market Maui (since closed). My first cookie was Da Half Baked - a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with Reese's, Snickers, AND Oreo! OMG...only a super creative cookie chef extraordinaire could have imagined such a delight! I knew that I would be a fan forever!! On every subsequent trip, I sought out the amazing cookies. It wasnʻt always easy to find them, as the batches were small and offered in very limited locations. I would be on a mission and never gave up until I found them. My friends and co-workers were always so excited when I brought them back a "world-famous Maui Cookie Lady" cookie when I returned from Maui. In late 2020, the year after my last trip to Maui, the Maui Cookie Lady opened up a retail shop in Makawao. I haven't been able to stop by in person yet, but I will be going the next time I visit. I tell all my friends about the cookies, and several have been able to stop by the cute shop. When I am lucky, a friend will bring back some ono cookies for me. The Maui Cookie Lady cookies are not like most of the cookies you are used to eating. The first thing that you will notice is that they are really big!! I like to say that they are "gargantuan"! The second thing is that they are made with creative ingredients that may be familiar to you, or they may be new. Many of the varieties incorporate local ingredients lilikoi, Kona coffee, and macadamia nuts. The combination of flavors will excite any cookie loverʻs taste buds. Donʻt worry if you are not local to stop by the shop in person. You can order cookies online, individually or via the monthly subscription box. If you are visiting and want to take a few home with you, know that they can be frozen and stay great when you want to enjoy them. They do not contain preservatives, which I think is a big plus. In addition to creating great cookies, Mitzi is a big supporter of the community. She helps with various fundraising efforts to help those in Maui. As a former teacher, she is connected to educators in Hawaiʻi and their special needs. Once I get back to Maui, I will visit the store and update this review. I can't wait!
