Great spot, affordable prices - just be vigilant with the tire work. They did a poor job on one of my tires initially. After driving around, I came back and they fixed it immediately, replacing it with a better tire. The owner is a Korean gentleman everyone calls "the Tire Man," and he gives off a good vibe. That said, it was actually one of his employees, who had a large smirk on his face when I returned, who ended up redoing the installation. Based on this experience, I'd recommend keeping a close eye on the final product and doing a quick visual inspection before you leave. Know what a properly seated tire should look like. I came in today in desperate need of tires It looked a bit busy when I got in but the workers move so quick they got me in a matter of minutes. I requested used tires for budgeting reasons and sure enough he brought them to me so I can check them out and they looked spectacular! He asked if I wanted them rotated which I did and was grateful for and then he asked the big boss for the price. They sold them to me for 60 each which I would have honestly wanted cheaper but they didn't want to haggle with me. This spot has never given me me any problems so I give it 5 stars for the service and quality. If there is anything wrong with this place it would have to be the fact that the helpers/workers aren't allowed to accept tips. After he put the tire on I felt that something was definitely wrong with the tire so I came back the next day to let the owner know that I was just here yesterday but something is wrong with the tire he sold me. He then tells me to show him proof that I was there which I never received a receipt or anything. He took my $50 and sent me on my way. Mind you I've been coming here for 3 years and I've never received a receipt for a used tire. He then offered to sell me a good to tire for $40. I asked "why didn't you sell me a good tire yesterday for the $50 I paid" he told me there's no refund and to leave. complete disregard and disrespect. Last time I came here, I got some sweet deal on 2 Yokohama Ascend tires for my 90s Civic when the old rear tires were awfully bald (check tires when buying a used car). This time I had a horrible experience. I traded my 2 Yokohama tires that had more center tread left than the Michelin tires I picked. The two Michelin tires I got were Premier and Defender, not the same type. Long story short, if you measure the tread of the tires with a penny and it's less than the ones you are trading in, back out and try for their new tires. If that doesn't work, don't waste your money and say NO. Take my advice, go compare tire prices and read tire reviews for tires that bath your car so you know what you want. Do not trust these guys to find you awesome tires. Do your homework and this place could work provided they're the right type of tires compared to yours. But if these guys don't have good used tires with plenty of tread, WALK AWAY. They don't bother discarding nearly bald tires that you will probably replacing 1-2 weeks later, and dare to sell it to another unsuspecting customer. The day I got furloughed, I also had my tire pressure light come on. Not knowing why, I drove it to the dealer who saw a nail in it. The dealership doesn't do patches and I had a mini meltdown worrying about the cost. A friend recommended this spot that's near my house, they patched it for $15. Today the low pressure light came on again and I drove it straight there. They just needed air! He charged me $2! You stay in your car the whole time and they wore masks both times so I feel like they're taking the proper Covid precautions. I've been coming here forever. They always fast and good prices. They don't say much. They just get to it.

I'm only writing this review because I want others to be aware and be able to protect themselves and their families. If I could give this business and the owner negative stars, I would. Let me tell you why- I drive a large SUV which is actually quite a heavy car. I needed four tires because my treads were gone. My good friends referred me to this place because he's 'quick' and 'inexpensive' and 'knows what he's doing.' When I presented to the shop, he told me he could give me a set of four new tires, but he warned me it would be very expensive. But he pointed me toward a nicely used set of tires that would fit my car and cost a lot less. OK, I went with it... after all he came highly recommended. The next day, I realised one of the tires had lost pressure. I thought they hadn't filled it up well so I put some air in it. This kept happening for several days. Finally, I drove back to this shop and waited for them to open during hours they had posted are business hours on Google. No one showed, no one opened the shop. Frantic, I went to another shop nearby who took the tire off and realised that there was a hole it in. No problem - they patched it. Again, several days later started to deflate. So again, I went back to Cook's tires. He took the tire off, blamed me for poking a hole it and charged me to fix it. Frustrated, but alright. Believe it or not, several days later the tire was entirely flat. This time, I went to a very reputable shop who took the tire off and inspected it. They found that this tire was patched THREE times! And that the two patches Cook's did was in the wall of the tire, not the treads (this is an area where a tire should NEVER be patched!). Essentially this guy had sold me at least one tire that was NOT road worth and NOT SAFE. I'm sure its actually illegal to knowingly install these faulty tires on cars. In addition, his workers don't use professional lifts. They hoisted my car up on four individual jacks which could have severely damaged my car and injured one of the workers in case there was a slip or fall. Very unprofessional! It scares me to the core that I had transported my family in the California desert in the heat with this crappy tire. Had it blown out, we could have been injured in a crash or worse. The worst part of it is that this owner will actually smile and taunt you about the entire thing. He even has it worked out so that he lies and you won't be able to dispute the charge on your credit card. I want you to know that Cook's Tires should really be called Crook's Tires. Please take my experience as a learning one. If you value your safety and the safety of your family and normal operation of your car, please avoid this place unless: you are knowledgeable enough not to be taken for a ride. Please - send a little more and buy from someplace else. read more

Buying used tires is like a box of chocolates.....you never know what you're gonna get. With used tires, as always, it is assumption of the risk. so inspect the tires and then decide. On the other hand, when it comes to fixing a flat, these guys do an absolute superb job and do not over-charge you. I was in and out within fifteen minutes. Ran over a nail and showed up 10 minutes before 5pm (when they close). They were just shutting down for the day. I said I could come back tomorrow, but he said no problem they could fix it. I asked the price was pleasantly surprised how reasonable it was. I would have been fine paying more.They fixed my flat and had it back on in less than 10 minutes. We almost didn't stop after reading some of these reviews. I felt like I should share an honest review. I will be coming here from now on for tire needs.
