Had one of my tenants call me and said the air conditioner was making a loud noise. Being the good landlord, I went over and up on the roof and noticed right away that one fan blade had broken off and was laying at the bottom of the condenser. It was late friday afternoon and I called Dave and he said he would look for a fan assembly and come over in the morning. Dave called me and said he could be there at the rental at 9:30. I met Dave and he had a fan assembly that would work and went ahead and installed it. A/C is back up and running, with tenant very appreciative to have cool air again. I contacted cool aid they came out and replaced the condensation pump with a used pump they had. a couple weeks went by and the unit continued to drip water so I decided to call another air condition company who inspected my AC. I was told that the condensation pump was used and wasn't working . Cool aid charged 500 for a used condensation pump and installation which was crap. On Sunday my AC went out, awful timing during our 110+ heatwave. I had a different company come out that day but they were unable to get the AC going. They left and said I needed a new blower motor. The next day I called up Cool Aid Air and they were super responsive and nice on the phone. They were able to come out the same day, only a few hours after I called. They arrived and quickly got to work, I had already told them the previous guy said it was a blower motor issue and that I needed a new one. About 15 minutes after they arrived I noticed that there was cold air coming out of my vents, turns out the blower was fine, it was just a bad controller. They could have easily played along and said "oh yeah you need a new blower motor" which would have been more money in their pockets, but instead they took their time to accurately diagnose the problem and get it fixed. Through out the years they have serviced my AC a few times such as, replaced my Thermostat, Cleaned my floor air ducts which were clogged up and caused water to leak in my hall. Hands down my only choice for any ac related issues. I have been using Mark for almost ten years now. I trust him for my house my family and my friends. He will tell you truth and only repair things that need to be fixed. NO gimmicks, great prompt service . He goes all over the valley. I had him come to my house in chandler friends place in Gilbert even my new place in Central Phoenix. just a heads up Ive only dealt with Mark personally. Attention all landlords...DO NOT USE I sent them to a property as the air was blowing warm and they charged me 300 to repair. Called them back as the air continued to blow warm and they told me the original repair was to connect a wire to the thermostat but the unit needed to be cleaned which they did before discussing pricing then charged me just under 700. I told then a thermostat replacement should only be 150 and that they were way overpriced for dusting off some coils; asked to negotiate price. I was told that if I didn't pay in full he would go back on the roof and damage unit. All I asked was for a credit on one service charge as the unit was not repaired on the first attempt. Trying to get invoice from them is like puling teeth. read more
