This review is factual and reflect what happened. Last July I left a 5 stars review after Lee Collin installed a new blower motor. However, I realized that manual FAN ON did not work, neither the fan delay was not working. I contacted Lee Collin to verified installation of the blower motor. They send another technician. The senior one. This technician diagnosed that a fan relay was not working and possibly a timer delay relay could also be faulty. I received an estimate for this new repair for $270. I had no reason not to trust them so I changed both relay, although after replacing both relay the system did not work. I was surprised so I requested further investigation with another outside technician and it was revealed that relay were not at fault but that the first installer had not positon the white wire from the blower motor to the proper prong on the contactor, after moving the white wire to the opposite side of the contactor the fan system started to operate normally. I am a bit disappointed that 2 technician of Lee Collin could not find and rectified the problem. I understand that error do occurred but when you are paying per hour labor and expensive parts it is not want customers want. Respectfully. read more

Yesterday I had both of my heat pump units replaced and the air handlers by Lee Collins technicians. There were 4 of them and took the whole day to complete the work. They never rushed the job and paid attention to every detail. The were very careful in making sure not to mess the house and cleaned afterwards. I just had a new AC unit installed by Lee Collins via my home warranty plan, and they did a great job. The two installers, Matt and Kyle, did a very professional install and made sure the roof area was perfect and clean upon finishing. We ran numerous tests on the new electronic thermostat to ensure it was perfect for heat and cooling along with adjusting the air speeds. The gentleman told me I had a leak when he never even put gauges on there? My unit was actually frozen up. Our unit was 13 years old and this company had serviced it for several years Doing repairs and maintenance. At this point we determined that it was time for a new unit. A few weeks ago, I had Lee Collins to my home for an AC tune up. My unit was 20 yrs old and not in the best of condition. The information was called in to my Home Warranty company, who approved the AC replacement. I was extremely lucky to have this work done early in the year and did not have to wait on product. Lee Collins is a wonderful company that I have used for years for my AC tune ups. They always do a great job and I was very happy to have them do the work replacing my AC unit. They were always on time and gave me a call when they were on the way. From the tech who did my tune up, to the office personnel and the installation techs, everyone was professional, friendly and kept me informed as to what was happening. I have Fidelity National Home Warranty and they use this company as one of their service suppliers. They sent someone out to fix one of the A/C units at a rental home I have. The tech said it was the termostat and changed. This was Sunday. By Tuesday the unit was not working again. Had to wait on line with Fidelity for over 30 minutes as of this text still waiting to try to get them set up to go back & fix the unit. Not sure who I am more frustrated with, Fidelity National Home Warranty for long waits on line to get service or Lee Collings for not fixing the unit the first time. This is not the first time this has happened with them. They seem to always do a 1/2 way job when making a service call. They will continue to have poor ratings and only get business from warranty companies until they can do a professional job fixing the problem with one service call not numerous ones. read more

I used Lee Collins to replace the compressor on the AC unit in Oct 2022. It was at my rental unit and required coordinating schedules for me to be there with the tenant. I was pleased with everyone I dealt with. They were professional, knowledgeable and competent. Brian came out and assessed what needed to be repaired. Oscar and Kyle showed up on time and installed the new compressor, tested the system to be sure all was running well and did a great job. I have an old beast of an air conditioner. When I bought my 1960's townhome, the inspector said it had to be replaced. Three years later, and the beast keeps me cool every summer. Until it didn't. You know how to spot an honest company? Show them your old shit, be a young looking blonde woman, correction ... be a single young looking blonde woman, and see what they have to say. No one tried to up-sell me. In fact, the guy said it was a quality unit. I think he even compared it to an old army jeep: terrible gas mileage, but it keeps on truckin'. #MyHeart (Me + Beast 4-Ever.) I was like, are you sure? You're not going to laugh at it? I had a guy laugh at it once. Nope. It sounds good, just needed a new fuse. And then he recommended I switch to a different type of air filter. Actually, same advice my mom gave me. Damn, my mom's smart. I should start listening to her. Came same day. During record breaking heat. Fixed the problem. Did not BS. Answers every call. I wish I could insert a "praise Jesus" hand emoji here. read more

Steer clear from using their services. They installed a new furnace at our property and left their work unfinished for 2 months now and they are yet to come back and fix it. I purchased my system from Lee Collins in November of 2020 with a 2 years warranty on all parts and labor. I had a issue with the A/C not shutting off and they send a tech out the next day. The tech indicated that there was a leak in the system and wad going to have someone else come out to test the system for the leak. Kyle, the new tech, was here for about 1.5 hours and found the there was not a leak but merely the system had to much Freon and reset the system to the correct amount. The service was very good and he did everything possible to make sure the unit was in perfect running condition. It's nice, in this day and age, to have a company honor their promises and do what they say they will do. I would highly recommend Lee Collins for all you HVAC needs. read more

This company is horrible and disorganized. They never show up at the appointment time and they never return a phone call. When they no-showed on my scheduled appointment I called to find out where they were and they claimed they had already come out days before to fix it. They cannot name a date or time that the technician came out. They never left a receipt, and never notified me that they had completed the job. I would give them NO stars! Absolutely the worst service ever. I placed a work order with my home warranty company four days ago (Tuesday) Lee Collins A/C was assigned to my work order on Wednesday morning, and I was told by the home warranty company that Lee Collins would call me within four hours to schedule service. Wednesday came and went. Thursday came and I finally received a phone call from Ken the owner at 9:30 AM. Ken was not very polite, consistent with other reviews. He said he received my work order asked if could he call me tomorrow (Friday) to set something up? Since I have one AC unit and I've been without air conditioning since Sunday, I said "no I would like you to confirm a time that you'll be here tomorrow." He told me he would send Paul his most seasoned tech who would be able to perform diagnostic test to tell if I had a leak in the system. However Paul would be going on vacation beginning Saturday so if it's a tough job he won't be able to get anybody else back out here for another week. Come Friday no phone call to tell me when someone is coming for service. I placed a call to Lee Collins again at around 10 AM to ask when I could expect service. Spoke with Ken who was clearly agitated by my call and confirmed that he had no record of me in his system. He then remembered I was a home warranty customer, and told me that Paul his most season tech is stuck on a commercial job but he would send Brian who has been employed with him for over 30 years. Brian shows up at almost noon. Brian understood that he had to do diagnostic testing for leaks. Brian finishes his work and tells me I'm all set. When I asked what the diagnosis was he said "you needed 2 pounds of Refridgerant so I filled it you're all set." I told him he was required to contact the home warranty company to report the issue and he wasn't supposed to fill the refrigerant. He was there for a second opinion. Brian's response to me was "lady, i have work to do - Here's my boss' card call him if you have questions." Because of his rude and disrespectful behavior, I told him to get the hell out of my home. Customers beware... If this is how they treat customers just imagine the shoddy work they do!!!' read more

My home warranty company had assigned another worthless company (Papworth) to come out and fix my AC when it went kaput. 4 hours and no phone call from Papworth I call them . They tell me its going to be 5 days before they can come out...in July...in Phoenix. I called the home warranty company back and they assign Lee Collins. Since I had to fuck around with the Papworth all day Lee Collins could not get out the same day but they came out the next morning. Ken from Lee Collins showed up and pulled the motor only to find out it was a 4 bracket motor and not the typical kind with 3 brackets. He called the supply house and the 4 bracket motors were all on back order. Now here is where things get interesting. Ken told me he had a shop at his house and could fabricate a custom made bracket and fit it to a new motor and bring it back the next day. We had managed to borrow a portable AC unit in the meantime so another day without our main AC wasn't going to kill us. When he showed up the next day he had actually found a four bracket part that fit at his shop and had it installed and cooling the house in no time. Ken was going to spend his evening in his shop welding a new bracket if he couldn't find one....this was really going above and beyond. read more

Since my initial experience with Lee Collins, I have been impressed. Each time that I have called for service, they have been professional, kind, empathetic and have arrived when they said that they would. I trust them so much that I have given them my door code to service my A/C in my absence. I strongly recommend this company, because of their work ethic and reliability. My home warranty company assigned them to look into my A/C issues. My experience began with them calling me on Thursday night saying that they would be out on Friday. Someone would call me between 6:30 - 7:30 AM to schedule a block of time for the visit. 8:00 AM Friday morning and I haven't heard from anyone. I called them and they seemed annoyed that I was bothering them with such pesky things as scheduling an A/C repair. Just because it's 115 degrees outside, I have an 18 month old daughter, a pregnant wife and my A/C isn't working doesn't mean I have an emergency. They gave me a window from 10 AM - 2 PM. @:20 PM I call the office. Again they seemed bothered by my call. The lady puts me on hold while she calls the repairman. When she comes back on the line she wants me to feel assured that he is still going to make it to my house today. He was in Sun City......I live in Scottsdale. Why did I wait around for 4 hours for them to tell me not to worry he will only be another 2 hours or so? I can't give you a review on their service because I called another A/C repair company. read more

Two stars for the simple fact they fixed our a/c. For that I'm grateful. At that time, we were told the filters we require are a special ordered size. They say they can order them and deliver. After a week of waiting we begin to call. We offer to come pick up the filters ourselves. No. We are repeatedly told by the guy who answers the phone he will pick them up and deliver tomorrow, or today, or tonight, or some specific time. It never happens, and apparently this is the only dude who can pick these things up!? It's been MORE THAN A MONTH now. ANNNND this guy sounds irritated as hell every time he answers he phone, as if we are being a nuisance. My house needs continuous dusting and my children's allergies are flared. I just called again. If it can be repaired, they do it for a fair price. Rarely, do they say something needs to be replaced, but if they do, it needs to be replaced! I called them on the afternoon of the 4th of July and they said they would be able to get to the house between 11:30 and 1:30 the following day. They arrived and the AC unit was up and running within 10 minutes. He was professional and identified the problem immediately. Hello, I have a rental home and my home warranty used Lee Collins. They came out to fix it a few times over the summer and then finally said it was not worth fixing and they Home warranty gave me a $500.00 credit towards a new one. I had Lee install a new Trane 3 ton for around $3,500. It never worked correctly and my renter always complained about her high bill and no cold AC. Finally a new tech from another AZ company realized it was installed wrong. The air duct returns. So thats why the bill has been high and no cold AC with brand new unit. I'm not sure they know what they are doing. Sorry Lee but all true. read more
