Cool Auto does a pretty nice job detailing- 3 out of 5 stars for that. They cannot stick to their time commitments though, which is a 1 out of 5 stars. So while they have good techs working for them, who use good equipment and products, their lack of managerial integrity is disappointing. There is absolutely no reason why I should have had to miss an appointment because my car was finished thirty minutes later than the scheduled time. Given the nature of their business, with appointments scheduled weeks in advance, I am terribly disappointed in their irresponsibility to the customers other time commitments. Nice detailing job + poor time management = disgruntled, frustrated customer who missed his meeting because of Cool Auto. read more

They go through your car with a fine tooth to make sure your driving away with a true "detail" not some fly by night job. Summary: TRY ANOTHER PLACE!! Did they do all the things the description of the service said. No, it was a mediocre job at best. Took it back for another mediocre job. Gave up and left pissed off. I can only tell you about my experience and here it is: Got a $100 Groupon deal thinking I was getting the deal of a lifetime. Looking at the the services that come in the "complete interior and exterior detail" you can't help but think that. When I go to pick up the car it was dark so not much chance to make sure it looks good. The next day I look at the vehicle and here are my issues with the service: Exterior Detail: The engine bay looked clean. Wheel wells looked clean. Tires/rims LOOKED clean (on the surface only, still filthy an inch into the rims). They had buffed out my headlights (which would have been awesome, had they not scratched up the paint around them with abrasive polish and scratched the heck out of a rear one with the orbital buffer - I do have to mention when I took it back, they were able to buff most of it out, but used my time). Interior Detail: The dash and console looked like it had been armor all'd (which is not hard to do, this car was clean already). The carpet and seats which were really the reason why I wanted the detail were still dirty after two "cleanings" (this is why I doubt they used a carpet extractor. I could have vacuumed it and wiped carpet cleaner on it at home for a few bucks). The seats and armrests came back looking the same, so I cleaned them again myself. There you have it. I just got my vehicle back and what a disappointment. I did the Living Social thing and I thought if it wasn't as good as expected, at least I got it at a reduced rate. I was supposed to get an interior and exterior detail along with headlight restoration for $150. A great deal right? Nope, I have a 2003 BMW 325 CI convertible and I could have done most of the things they did in my garage on my own. GOOD: the polish on the exterior paint was decent to good. They did polish out a lot of then small scratches from sand and small rocks, this is something I can't do. The engine area was pretty good a few spots were still dirty but this is something I can't do so that was worth part of it. Wheel wells were also good. BAD: Door jams, trunk jams, in the small areas of the rear seats looked untouched. The vacuum job wasn't good. The carpet still had some marks on it and did not look like it was cleaned or treated at all. The headlights were exactly the same and when I asked about it they said they couldn't restore them but they did put their treatment on it and I believe them because I wiped the headlight solution up when the employee was showing me the car. I walked around the car with the employee for about 30 minutes cleaning things and showing him how to clean the car properly. I was so frustrated I asked for the microfiber cloth and got to work right there. I started to get upset about the substandard job that I just stopped, not to mention it was 100+ plus out and I was melting. So I decided to take the high road and I just thanked the gentleman gave him a tip, which was only half the amount I was going to give and I left. The job did not deserve a tip but I am a blue collar worker who works hard and I felt the tip and fee were a small price to never deal with this business again. If I did my job this well, I would get fired. This job is not worth the LS voucher let alone retail. At best it was a good car wash at about $60. I have had mini details at the local wash that were better than this. Now I'm not sure if this was their standard type of work or if they are less detailed when a voucher or groupon are presented. I noticed they mentioned the LS voucher and marked it down on the order sheet. They may have been overbooked, understaffed, melting from the heat or just having a bad day Either way it was not worth it. I usually don't review business' and this is my first yelp but something had to be said about how substandard cool auto detailing is. They need to step up their game and have better work ethic and performance. read more

I had a basic headlight restore by a large chain store, advertising they could make ones lights look like new. Well, their promise was false. My headlights looked a mess and I was told that most of the problem was on the inside. They could not work on the inside. That meant I would need to purchase new headlights to correct the condition. Obviously, this would have been a major expense. I knew of Michael's business and went directly over to him to evaluate the situation. Cool Auto Detailing worked on my headlights for about 15 minutes and the first one looked almost new. The fogged look was gone. I had them finish the job and was very please with the professional service and the end result. I have been getting my cars detailed at Cool Auto since 2009, and there really is nothing like it. They made even my most beat up vehicle look really impressive. In the past, my puppy at the time had a pretty big "accident" in the back of my SUV. I tried for 2 days of using different cleaners and scrubbing it with a brush to get the smell out. Nothing worked. I took it to Cool Auto and in 15 minutes they had it looking and smelling like new interior! I took it there again a couple years later for a detail before I put it up for sale, and i was able to sell it within a few days, for my asking price. I truly believe the detail job added value to the car, and helped me to make a quicker sale. I recently took our new truck there after purchasing their Groupon deal, and it really was a great value. I wouldn't pay anyone else to clean my car, because it would be a waste of money for an "okay" job that I would end up redoing myself as soon as I get home. Whenever I take our vehicles to Cool Auto, I never leave disappointed. I even got gift certificates for other family members to use, and they absolutely loved it! Their detailing jobs make your vehicle look like you just drove it off the dealership lot. This is truly a first class treatment for your vehicle that you will be more than satisfied with. The finished look is immaculate, and the engine and undercarriage couldn't get any cleaner. The owner Michael and the employees there are always friendly, and work hard to make sure you leave satisfied. Other places wave my keys around looking for the vehicle owner, and as soon as I walk up, I feel rushed to move my car out of the way so that the line of cars can move up to be cleaned. At Cool Auto, the employees go through the finished car with you every time to make sure you are happy with it before you leave. As always, you should empty out your car before taking it there, because they detail every inch, into the cup holders and storage consoles. However, there have been times where I forgot to do it, or forgot a few pennies and such here and there. The staff put it in a box and keep it with your car until you pick it up. The amount of detail they put into your car would take myself at least 2 days of work. Cool Auto is the only place I would be willing to spend my money for a service that exceeds my highest standards. read more

Cool Auto has detailed 3 different cars for us. Two, we took there because we were selling them. We got many compliments on how clean and new the cars looked and got full asking price for both cars. We bought a new car a year ago, and with having a 3 year old, never got around to washing it! So, needless to say, it was in need of major cleaning (smoothie on the celing, crumbs all over, dirty leather seats from foot prints, etc.). It looks new again and their prices are extremely reasonable. Not to mention, everyone there is exceptionally nice. Always smiling, very friendly! My poor Subaru wagon had not been fully detailed in a decade. I got a Groupon deal that had expired and was told that they would honor it for an additional 2 weeks. When I called to make th appointment a second time, the reneged on the Groupon, and told me it would cost an additional $75.00. (For an SUV), As I had paid 25% off the original Groupon price, I went for it. Having a dog in your car can be troublesome trying to keep it clean. Aside from the stained floor mats in front, it looked brand new(for a 15 fear old car). Super job, just wish they had honored their original promise. Evidently, they are no longer offering deals on Groupon, but still well worth they price for New Car Smell! These guys are pros! read more

I have used their $300.00 "Complete" service twice now. (the quotes are intentional) The first time the spare tire wheel well was totally skipped. Also, the interior looked like it was basically just wiped down with an Armor All towel. The second time I paid for the complete service, the under carriage and lower part of the engine looked like it was just hosed down - not steam cleaned. Disappointing. What they did actually detail looked amazing which was why I wanted to give them a second try. It seemed like they may have just run out of time and rushed some part of the detailing. It was late when I picked up my vehicle and could not see the incomplete job until the following day which was a Saturday when they are closed. They are closed on Sunday also, and Monday was a holiday. The business is a 45 minute drive for me. I do not have time to leave my vehicle with them for a day to fix it unless I take time off work. Not going to happen. Just be sure to thoroughly check out your vehicle before leaving if you choose to use their service. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible company. Be careful when bringing your car here, they will steal items from your car. Also, they never pick up their phone to address any issues. The owner just delegates problems to his employees so nothing gets resolved. Cool Auto did a full detail on my Lexus 460GX. I typically keep my SUV in good condition; so I was wondering if a full detail would really make a major difference. I can honestly say that my vehicle came back looking like new. Paint burnished to a shine, engine acid washed, wheel wells blackened, leather beautifully treated and carpets smelling like new. Dropped vehicle at 08:30 am and collected it at 05:00 pm. Staff was friendly and helpful. I definately recommend Cool Auto if you are looking for a professional looking car detail! read more

I took my car in because I spilled something in it. When I arrived I tried very hard to point out the particular area that needed cleaning, I was brushed off with insistence that I would be so happy and that it would be perfectly clean. I came back to pick my car up and they had not cleaned all of the area that had been spilled on. I pointed this out and he took the car back and spent a few minutes on it and then returned it. On first glance it looked okay (I couldn't spend all day double checking their work) but then later that night I noticed that they still had not managed to actually clean the car. I couldn't immediately take the car back in because it was the weekend and then I had to go out of town. So I paid $125 for my car to come back still dirty, and the car was mostly clean other than the spill area. They also wiped the interior dash with something that left an oily residue and whatever they wiped the inside of the windshield with left marks that make it hard to see out of my windshield in anything other than optimal lighting conditions. The windshield was perfectly clean before they got their grimy hands on it. I do not recommend anyone taking their car to Cool Auto Detailing. read more
