After having my liquid wrap (Plasti-Dip) on for a year I was ready for a change. Did some of the removal myself before deciding to look for a third party to take care of the rest. To say the removal was daunting would be an understatement. Brian was eager to take on the project, which I'd consider a little out of there ordinary day to day detail. Gave me a price range quote which was more than fair considering the "fun" I had doing some of the removal myself. Start to finish it took a little longer than expected (more man hours) but the price remained at the lower end of the price range. We went away for vacation and accidentally parked our car close to a lawn sprinkler. When we returned, half of the car was covered in a thick calcium deposit. We first attempted to take it to a car wash without any improvement. We then called Cool Auto and they knew exactly what went wrong and how to fix it. When we brought in the car they gave us an estimate and our different options. When we picked up the car it looked better than it ever had before. They were able to get out all the spots. They put a coat of wax on the entire car. They even cleaned out the inside of the car. The cost was the exact same amount that they had quoted us, no up-charge at all. The team kept us up-to-date on the timeline of the car each day and when it would be ready. All of the staff was welcoming and most importantly, honest from the start. Not sure why an auto detailer is listed under dry cleaning and laundry. on Yelp .... However ... this place is terrific. I had a Groupon, so got a $200 detail job for $99 plus a $20 tip. My 4 1/2 year old Honda looks showroom-new. I could not find a single speck or spot or anything to ask them to re-do -- and I went over it with a fine-tooth comb. If you call and ask for Mike, he may give you the discount for the rest of the month. The place itself is not, shall we say, "high-end." You'll want to have someone there to give you a lift back home for the 6 - 8 hours they need to do the car -- there is not comfy waiting room or free coffee or courtesy shuttle -- but boy, do they do good work! read more

In addition to doing a great job detailing my car (which is 21 years old!) Cassandra brought in an expert to restore the front seats where the leather has been wearing, and there were a couple cuts on the drivers side. I will also have to agree with all the five star reviews on here and would like to mention that they do a great job with the complete detail on the car. I recently purchased the Groupon deal for my vehicle at $129 which was of course an exterior and interior job. I dropped off the vehicle at 9 AM and picked it up around 5 PM. As I did not have a ride back home they were able to drop me off at the Tucson Mall for no extra charge - I have found this to be of great service on their part! So after the long wait for my vehicle to be done it was well worth it. The interior of the car had been completely cleaned including mats and the exterior of the car looked like a job well done. They even cleaned inside the hood which was surprising to me as I have never had that done before. Purchased a used vehicle which was in excellent condition except for the interior.. had not been cleaned in MANY YEARS! Cool Auto Detailing had their work cut out for them to say the least. There were heavily soiled spots on arm rests & gunk build up on door panels etc. that I really wasn't expecting to see completely gone. It was a pleasure taking my mother's Mustang GT for auto detailing at Cool Auto this past week. I'd purchased a Groupon for a complete detailing package in order to sell the 1997 Mustang. When I arrived, the staff were so polite and helpful. I'd printed out only a portion of my Groupon offer without the necessary UPC code, but the representative told me it was fine to call it in when I got home, or bring it in when I returned to pick up the car. That saved me a very long drive. Oh, what a great job they did! The car looked brand new. The engine was spotless and everything was sparkly and clean. Customer service is just as it should be. Let me just say that if ever I get my car detailed again, I will most certainly go back here! The gentlemen at the business were kind, polite, and incredibly good at what they do. You could tell that they are actually interested in making their customers happy. The last time I got my car "detailed", it ended up smelling like a wet dog. As a former professional detailer, it's hard to justify paying someone else to do something that I can do myself, but that has never been a concern with Cool Auto. They do excellent work, are reasonably priced, and always finish the job when they say they're going to. I bring both my fleet and personal vehicles here and have never had an issue. Well my experience was mixed but mostly good. First of all my car was very clean when I got it back. Unfortunately it took hours longer than they said when I dropped it off and then I'm missing some my items like the mesh net that held small items in my trunk. I just picked up my suv not too long ago and I must say Cool Auto Detailing just gains another loyal customer! I will be bringing in my cars for detailing and any other services offered going forward. Going in, I had low expectations for a vehicle with such visibly deep exterior paint scratches, fine scratches on front and rear bumper, and leather seat scratches from typical wear and tear. I was well informed by Cassandra as she took the time to walk me through the process and how all can be treated and cured from a complete detailing package plus professional paint touch-ups and ceramic coating (the latter is also what I wanted). I was sold the moment it was explained to me! I am so thankful to have found out about this place and thanks to Cass my suv is exceeded my expectations as it came out looking amazing and beautiful from the inside out! I had my car cleaned. They did impeccable work. To elaborate: My car was destroyed inside with stains with 8 different types of stains throughout the car that I can think of right now. Spilling four gallons of used aquarium water (aka fish poop water) on top of everything else made my car smell so badly of cigarettes (I had recently quit smoking, but the car still stunk), vomit, piss, and dog poop and muddied the thick dirt and debris left over from spilling filled garden pots and buckets of fill dirt on my carpeted floors and cloth seats. Getting into my car made me want to vomit and made my eyes water. Cool Auto took my car and tried to ease my embarrassment about its condition. They made the interior cleaner than when I first bought it from the car lot. Underneath the hood, my tires, and the exterior looked amazing as well. Their work was a minor miracle. I waited a few weeks before reviewing to see if the stains and smells would return and they have not. On inspecting the car right after they cleaned it, I thought I saw a bit of dirt under my seat (it was just a reflection) and I bent down and rubbed it with my finger and one of the guys jumped down with a cloth and began scrubbing and apologizing. I was blown away with their work. I do not know how much the standard price of such a cleaning is, so I cannot speak to that but their work would have been worth nearly double what I paid for my case in my opinion. read more

Good value here. I became motivated to get a Complete Detail after owning my Toyota 4x4 for 5+ years WITHOUT A DETAIL EVER. They completed an ASTOUNDING job on the 5 years plus of trail dust and dirt caked in all over, inside and out. The complete detail is quite worth the money, and even better if you could secure a Groupon they occasionally list. The Interior: Lots of people mention not getting items back that were left in the interior, for a detail you should definitely empty out all the cubbies and bins before you get there, they do return anything they find, such as one user who got his phone and wallet back. Its important to empty it out so they can get the bins and glove box a thorough clean. My interior was like new, every surface down to the kick panels and door jambs were polished and sparkled excessively. The upholstery team did a spectacular job on the seats, including the front two which had food and smoke stains dotted thru the bottom cushion. Every row, including the third row and boot carpet were shampooed. I don't remember the last time the seats looked that new, aside from delivery day. Carpet and floor mats were wet cleaned and showed no signs of wear anymore (I'm pretty easy on my factory carpet mats, and I use rubber ones instead most the time). The Exterior: WOW! Paint, black plastics, wheel wells, wheels and tires, even the back side of the wheel rims were spotless. They detailed the hell out of this exterior, and they take pride in the results. They buff the exterior paint so some minor surface scratches and nicks were un-detectable. The Arizona pin striping (from thorns and palo verde trees living too close to the trail) were gone, they take pride in the pre-wax buffing process to ensure a like-new vehicle. The wheel wells were the most stunning, deep black with not a trace of Arizona dust to be found (I sometimes drive thru puddles and mud, all in an effort to find the best camp spots, so it was pretty dusty brown when I dropped it off). The Engine room: SPOTLESS. They really got every nook, admittedly they said they didn't want to high pressure spray too much because of sensors and electronics under the hood, but the engine looked like new, or restored nice deep black plastics. Overall: $350 for this complete detail, its a good value and I tipped appropriately (the upholstery team was particularly proud of their work and were eager to show it off, and I was eager to reward their devotion because it was damn good!) If you score a groupon, for an SUV it ends up at $150 and they are more than willing to accept expired groupons and honor the groupon rate/package. I didnt need my headlight restore because mine are crystal clear (thanks 3M film), so instead they pressure washed the under belly of my 4WD. ProTip: If you're bringing your beat up Scion to get detailed and leave your 3 dollars in quarters, your radar detector, 100-pocket CD case and other valuables inside, they wont be able to clean effectively and you should just take the 10 mins to remove your junk so they can actually DETAIL your car and wow you. Don't leave it to them to clean your personal stuff out, they already have a days work in cleaning your jalopy. Also, tip them appropriately and give the tip money to their manager who places it into a communal tip jar split among all the detail technicians, its fair that way. I will be returning! I just had two vehicles detailed at Cool Auto Detailing. Cool did an excellent job on both. They even honored Groupon coupons that expired in October, giving me an excellent deal! One of the vehicles, a Cherokee, I haul dogs around in and was a REAL mess; they made it look almost new, going so far as to even repaint the side rock guards. BUT......... my highest recommendation is due to their honesty. When my wife dropped off the Cherokee, she failed to remove the valuables I had left in the vehicle, including my wallet and cellphone. They were safely in a box waiting for me. I raved about how thankful I was about this, but the Owner said it happens all the time, so no big deal. It sure was/is to me!! read more

i would not recommend anything about this business. I cannot believe this place is still in business. Minutes after I left the business after picking up my car, i noticed a pocket knife missing. I always keep it in the change compartment and saw it there when I dropped off my car (i specifically checked). I asked if i needed to remove my valuables prior and was assured that only the manager empties valuables. When I called to report my knife not returned in my box of belongings, i was told that there is no way it was in the car. I am not accustomed to being called a liar but i was not up for the fight so i let it go. Until the next day when my carpets were dry and i was putting my mats back in place i noticed one mat missing. I called again and they couldn't find it. They sent a picture of a mat by text message. Since i could not tell easily, i had to drive out of my way to find it was the wrong size and color although it was from a Honda. it seems as if this is standard practice and they have a surplus of unclaimed mats! I was flabbergasted at this point. I was basically called a liar when i called to report my pocket knife missing and now they can't find my mat. i was promised that they would order a new one which is not possible since these are carpet colored and come with the car, he offered to get a new set of mats from the dealer and replace all of them. I thought it was too much but he assured me it wasn't a big deal since they do alot of business with the dealerships. a week later, i recieve a text that they have my mat. i again drive out of my way and could not believe that there was no new set of mats as promised. They did find the same color and size mat as the missing one however this one had cigarette burns (not only am i not a smoker, but no one has ever smoked in my car so this was obviously NOT my mat). He took the mat over to one of the guys who did something and the burn was not so obvious (i can't be sure but it looks like the cigarette burn was cut out). he asked me if i was pleased. of course i wasn't but after numerous phone calls and trips out of my way, i was so fed up i wanted to be done with them. he offered me a detail on the house but i said i couldn't take the chance that anything else would be missing from my car. no remorse for all my trouble and no apology. he basically shrugged when i said no thank you. BTW - the pocket knife miraculously showed up too. I can only assume that the "manager" who empties valuables from the car missed this compartment, one of the detailers found my knife and assumed he was in the clear. What really annoys me is that they would not even consider that i was telling the truth without ever asking their employees if they "found" a knife. I gave them a way out but they chose not to take it. Long story short...don't use this business...The owner either doesn't care or doesn't know what a bunch of idiots and thieves he has employed. they did a good job on my car but the aggravation was not worth it. Maybe the owner should not have his "manager" handle customer satisfaction. read more
