Had a solid time throwing axes with my friends last weekend! It was my first time and the coach was very helpful. They don't just throw you into the fire. You get a quick tutorial before getting started and coaching your entire reservation. I went 1/4 when throwing and called it quits after sticking my first axe haha. Had to quit while I was ahead. The 5 star review is mainly for the coach holding our reservation down. A lot of people were trying to hop into our reservation, but the coach regulated for us and kept the party private.

Hatchet Hound is a subcontracting company located inside Arts District Brewing Company. I came to celebrate my birthday on Saturday night and was excited to try axe throwing for the first time! The price was reasonably priced at $20 for 10 throws. They are cashless which means only digital payments are accepted. You have to sign a digital waiver at the beginning. The guy did a great job demonstrating technique, and offered helpful advice after each throw, and I finally got the axe to stick! AMAZING service and friendly. The brewery staff does it shut down at 11PM. Highly recommend if you're at the Arts District Brewing Company!

Awesome experience. Bash made it fun for us. He really hyped us up and taught us how to do it properly. For $20 you get to throw 10 axes. It really fits the brewery vibe. I recommend you guys should try it.

Teens loved it !!!! 12+ super fun !!!

Amazing time with friends and co-workers! We had a great night at Arts District Brewery in DTLA where Hatchet Hound is set up. Super fun place and this is a nice addition to the neighborhood!

Ethan is so easy going and did not fret when I changed my mind a few times on choosing colors to mix and match I guess that's the Libra in me lol sorry Ethan! He also walked us along the process from start to finish and made sure we were happy with our piece of art before leaving. Thank you for your hospitality Ethan and for your care. Paula and Ethan are amazing at what they do and I just wanted to highlight the two of them.

To add to this, we needed to be buzzed in so we could enter the premise. Once we were inside, the ambiance changed completely and there were a couple of IG worthy spots to take pictures while checking in. We opted for the spinning art experience since my daughter is too young to partake in the more elaborate ones. Originally, we booked for 4 people but one person got sick so we asked if we could transfer the funds for that person for another experience since there are no refunds. Luckily, was able to contact them the day before and added the bunny paint pour over experience. Ozzie was our guide and he was super kind and gentle with my daughter. We were instructed to pick 5 colors and then we donned our plastic bootie covers, apron and gloves. We entered our designated art room and was blown away by all the colors on the wall. There was even a tire swing which my daughter was all about. The spinning art experience was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing my daughter embrace the paint. I think her favorite part was when she had free rein to paint all over the walls. Overall, we had a great time. Only down side is that it does go by super quick and is quite an expensive experience for one hour. However, we get to have a treasured memento which is ready for pick up about 5 days afterwards and we did have a great time. That being said, #noragrats!

When we asked for an accommodation, the security guard was rude and told us that if my son wanted water, he could walk all the way to the entrance every time, despite the distance from the bowling area. Hoping to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager, Luis Gonzalez, but unfortunately he was just as dismissive and uninformed about autism and disabilities. Rather than listening and showing compassion, he was rude and unwilling to understand my son's needs. Businesses that serve families should make an effort to educate their staff about disabilities and neurodiversity. With autism becoming more widely recognized, basic awareness, empathy, and reasonable accommodations should not be too much to ask. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and unsupported. I will also be reaching out to upper management, including Cynthia Torres, to make her aware of this situation and to see whether changes can be made. As an autism mom, it is my responsibility to advocate not only for my son but for other individuals with autism and disabilities as well. No family should have to experience being dismissed or treated without understanding when simply requesting reasonable accommodations. My hope is that this feedback leads to better education, awareness, and compassion from staff so that all guests feel welcomed and respected.
