So the young man, once again, goes back inside and comes out with a woman who comes to my husband's vehicle with a long receipt and is asking to see what food he has already received. So they went through the food and she first said "you dont even have fries in your order." My husband said "Yes, we do. Its right here on the receipt." She apologized and went back in for the missing burger and brought it out and he left. After my husband came home, we went through the food and his chicken basket was a disaster. They just threw the chicken strips in the bottom and tossed fries on top. It literally looked like it had been dropped. It was super sloppy. He was also missing his toast that was supposed to come with it. A fish sandwich was ordered as well customized with a piece of white american cheese and asked for them to remove the lettuce. No cheese, soggy lettuce. We paid extra for the cheese. We understand that things happen sometimes, but this restaurant in particular seems to always have some kind of issue. First, it's just ice cream! I don't know what the name represents. Because all though Mt. Hood is a "potentially active stratovolcano" (pulled that straight from Google!), most people wouldn't extrapolate that far, in my opinion. I thought a volcano cone was going to be like a hole in the middle filled with hot fudge or something ... it's not. It's just ice cream! The staff working at the shop today were so nice!!!! I don't know if it's "homemade" but it has to be small-batch. They even have a traditionally Govy flavor of Huckleberry; which I enjoyed and would recommend and would order again. I also got Mint Chip, my staple! The mint chip was green meaning they had to add food dye; I prefer when brands don't, but the food dye doesn't effect the taste. My husband and son both got salted caramel and Oreo. The Oreo was ordered on recommendation from other reviewers and they liked it. Salted caramel is a favorite of my son especially and he gives it two thumbs up. This will be an annual experience. I had been wanting to come here for years seeing them on IG and here on yelp but don't make it out to Troutdale very often. So I was happy to finally try them out.
