Amazing gelato cart in Hood river. My favorite is an affogato with salted caramel gelato. It's an addiction at this point.

Yummy gelato, a perfect pick me up. We passed through Hood River after a day of paddle boarding on the way back to Portland. Very smooth texture and good flavor. I tried two flavors in a small cup. Hit the spot.

Gelato is sooooo good. We started with the Affogato who is a vanilla gelato with a shot of expresso. The expresso was nice and strong but not overbearing. The vanilla was smooth and rich in flavor. Perfect balance between expresso and gelato. The raspberry gelato was creamy and melted in your mouth. The raspberry flavor reminded me of fresh Oregon raspberries. The chocolate stripes added a nice balance on flavor. The Jersey chocolate taste. Super cool gelato truck.

    Yay, gelato!

Nothing beats an afternoon stroll along the waterfront in Hood River, followed by some fresh, homemade gelato. My partner and I lived in Italy for several years and we've had our fair share of gelato. Cicci brings back so many memories of the delicious treats we often enjoyed during our time there. The city has done a tremendous job developing the waterfront business district, and Cicci couldn't be in a better location. I hope they enjoy an enthusiastic network of support in Hood River for many years to come.

Delicious gelato to enjoy during the summer storm last night! So thankful to the staff for being opened for my late night craving.

They allow you to bring your own container and spoon - save the earth!

Super delicious gelato. And they let you bring your own container - and it seems like we got a little extra. Save the earth! Chocolate coconut nondairy was my favorite, Vanilla a close second. Strawberry was really delicious too.

We were walking around Hood River and came across this cute little stall. After we had dinner, I came back and got a little scoop of their Gorgeberry which was SO good and so fresh. I'm not sure if I've had gelato (at least American gelato) this fragrant and fresh tasting. Yum yum yum!!

The best gelato outside of Italy. That's what we need in Vancouver, WA. Brings back memories of being home in Europe.

    Gelato.

The cantaloupe is amazing and the cones are awesome. Best sorbet I've ever had. The Gorgeberry gelato is also top tier.

You can also contact Beverly, the owner, who will do special orders and even provide treats for events like weddings, celebratory parties, special dinners, anything! Over the years I have tried many items and loved them all. There are always unique flavors built into everyday pastries which take B's Sweets to the next level. For example, the maple scones have figs incorporated giving them both texture and contrast. The doughnuts are sometimes flavored with lavender, sometimes hibiscus, sometimes both, giving them a scent and flavor that elevates the ordinary doughnut to something truly special. Even though I am not gluten free, I often buy the GF shortbread cookies beautify decorated with an edible pansy flower. Trust me, you need to buy this for your next brunch or gathering. Not only do they add an artistic flair to your table, they are scrumptious! And all of your friends can enjoy them. The mini tarts - in various flavors depending on what's in season - are also decorated with pansy's and dried fruit. Just gorgeous ! The lemon tart is my favorite but recently bought the blood orange and everyone loved it. Sometimes there are purple tarts - lavendar - and while the color may throw you off, go for it! So good. There are various types of stuffed croissants, brownies, artisan chocolate bon bins and caramels, cookies, focaccia, hand pies, cinnamon rolls, lavender tea cookies and more! Really hard to make decisions. Luckily I'm there weekly so I get to try most everything. The lavender shortbread squares with half dipped in dark chocolate, sprinkled with lavender, are my favorite. Only available in the cooler months as chocolate melts in the heat, I always buy a box of 6 for $10. They also make a great little hostess or just because gift for a friend. You can also find these at the gift store at Hood River Lavender farm for a treat any day of the week. The owner and baker, Beverly, is the best! So kind, friendly and enthusiastic about her baked goods and the customers genuine enjoyment. Call her for special orders. She also provides dessert spreads for events. Your guests will love them!! What could possibly be better?…read more Nestled in a small town with lots of outdoor beauty, local fruit, and all the outdoor activity anyone could wish for... lies a pastry shop that would make the best of Paris or Vienna stand up and pay attention, and it's staffed by lovely fun people! Every week, I get an updated menu, featuring all that is best in Oregon farming and orchards plus a delightful Eastern European spin that is so hard to find anywhere in the US. Do I think you should go? I think you should go RIGHT NOW! Go early for all the best though... Today, we had a wonderful filbert dacquoise and oh... wow. Each filbert (hazelnut if you're not local) topped with gold and chocolate, the creaminess, the richness, exquisite. Seriously, they deserve a Michelin star. But, that's not all! Don't miss out on the takeaway selections especially for gifts! The chocolate covered mango is a big hit. Today, we also got their pâté de fruit... a simple sort of gummy confection but... OMG!!!! So much intense flavor! We were lucky enough to get these from the patisserie of Gaston Lenotre in Ille de France while he was in his heyday in the early 80's, just after taking the world by storm with his pastries and candies... and ... I'm so sorry "uncle" Gaston... these are a level above your own. There, I said it. This place is historically, internationally good. If you miss out while visiting Hood River... your loss of a lifetime.

They have a nice patio area with a few (4-5) tables that are covered. We got there super early and opted to sit outside since the weather was so nice. The service was fantastic and our waitress was super friendly. We discovered that she has ties to KC so I always love that. I started with an Adeline blackberry sour. It's pretty to look at and so delicious to drink. Sours in Oregon are hands down the best. I wish we had more of it in KC but I highly recommend that you get sours and ciders if you're in the PNW. For lunch I ordered the Club Sandwich: Sweetheart ham, hickory-smoked turkey, Tillamook white cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon; topped with lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo. It normally comes on sourdough but I swapped it out for ciabatta. First off, it's a HUGE club sandwich. Lots of meat that had amazing flavor. Not some sad deli sandwich at all. The ciabatta had great chew and complemented the sandwich perfectly. No complaints here! Did I eat it all? Yes, and that was a great plan because it kept me going for the next 24 hours that ended up being a cluster that resulted in no food being available. Sandwiches come with chips or a garden salad but I opted for a different side with an up charge. Let's talk about the Oregon Blue Salad: spring mix, dried cranberries, honeycrisp apples, Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue crumbles, and maple candied walnuts; tossed in an apple cider vinaigrette. So GOOD! You can get it by itself and it would make a great meal. Everything was so fresh. Again, not a single complaint. If you are ever in the area, please stop in. Everything was amazing and I can't wait until I return. Double Mountain is on my list to come back to! Highly recommend!
