A rather disappointing update. I recently took my bike to…read morerepair gears that were locked and not shifting. They had to install a new shift cable. When I went to pickup my bike, it was obvious the gear shifting required adjustment. Also there were many finger prints of greasy hands. When I asked them to adjust the gear shifting & clean the frame, they partially adjusted the shifting issue. And told me that they will not clean the finger print marks. I had to finish both tasks myself. I hope they teach their mechanics better customer service.

The staff was not nice and was worried the bike would be damaged by trying it. He lost interest in talking to us and headed for the next customer. We liked the bike and was going to get it closer to the birthday and when we called they had no assembled bikes and wont do it for few weeks lol. What a joke. I called the Clarendon store and they said they can assemble for us within the hour so we drove there and the staff there was just night and day compared to rockville they helped my son get on even though he couldnt ride it yet and lead him around the store so he can enjoy it first hand. The opening hours are limited but I was able to get in on a Saturday right after practice. Lots of families were there with the same idea. Just be prepared to be patient to find parking because the location is in a warehouse/garage district. The staff were very kind and helpful in showing me where the bats, batting helmets, gloves and other supplies were. Think about this place like a thrift store - some items are in great condition, some are passable and ok for a season, but you may have to lower your expectations if you are looking for super low prices. But knowing that some new bats are $100+ or even upwards of $250+ a pop, getting a decent one for 50% off retail is great when you don't have the luxury of waiting for sales. And if you are conservation minded like me, the fact that this stuff isn't just getting thrown out and can be used for others is a plus. They also obviously have softball, football, hockey, soccer, and other sport supplies in stock. And the store did not smell like a nasty locker room, which us a great sign.
