Awesome, quick service and a great cut for a very affordable price! When I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted and directed to sign in on the clipboard. There was no wait so I was promptly seated and the pleasant lady started my cut. There were 4 total ladies there, and only one other customer at the time. Within 15 minutes though, at least 4 other customers came in for a cut. I guess I got there at the right time! The lady said normally this time (Saturday afternoon) is a pretty busy time. She was very meticulous and took her time to make sure my hair was even all the way around. She was friendly and made sure my hair was cut in a way that looked good, not just to get it done. She used a variety of techniques to get the hair the way she wanted it, including using clippers, scissors, comb, and blow dryer. She also gave me helpful advice on how to style it. This review is for Fiona. As many others hve already mentioned, she is good at cutting men's hair but she is also really great with kids! I brought my four and almost two year old boys and she was great with them. I had given up on getting my younger one to get a haircut because he kept crying but Fiona had me put my son on my lap in the chair and he stopped crying and got the haircut he really needed. Do not get a women's haircut here. They clearly do not know how to handle it. I asked for a shampoo and an inch trim and it took them an hour. The male cutting my hair did not seem like he knew what he was doing. He would trim a section of hair, brush, and blow dry and repeat again and again with a new section. Its like he's never even cut women's hair before... At the end my hair was not blow dried smooth and I told him it looked frizzy. The other female hair stylist said, "It's because your hair is frizzy." He then proceeded to put so much product in my hair that I had to go home and wash it again. The haircut also came out super choppy and uneven but I didn't want him to cut off more...he already cut off 2 inches. Service is expected to be not stellar at any Chinese hair salon but this really takes the cake. I have never had such a bad salon experience in my life and am mad to have wasted $30. Took my son here for a haircut this morning. I was able to walk in and walk out in 20 min. The lady was very nice and managed to cut my son's hair without any crying! It is only $8 dollars so don't expect too much. I am satisfied with the service overall and the result. Will bring my kid here again for his next haircut! This is my 1st time to bring my boy to this place based on yelp review. ( kinda skeptical ) When we got there, it seemed very busy (like 3-4 families 8-10ppl waiting) plus 3 ppl already on the chairs and waiting for their hair to be done. You need to sign your name on a notebook. However, this shop got 4 ladies working at the same time so the wait time for me was only like 5 mins. ( Either they are very good at what they are doing or maybe boys are just easier for them to working on! I'll leave this part open for others to review.) $10 bucks for my 6yr-old boy's hair cut ($8 +$2tip) which is very reasonable. The lady only asked me once how I wanted on my boy and the result came out exactly what I asked for. I'm very impressed. I called ahead to check on how long the wait was on a Sunday afternoon on my first visit. Lady that took my call said there was no wait so my posse and I parked and put our names down on their sign-in sheet, sat and waited. There was still a wait of about 15 minutes for 2 of us. No biggie. It's a no-frills salon with old chairs to chill on in the waiting area. Folded folding chairs are leaned up against the wall available for anyone else who wanted a chair. I got about a foot of sparse long hair chopped off so I was charged $10 and still left a $5 tip even though my cut took about a whole 5 minutes. The other person in my party got a trim off short hair and was only charged $10 as well. During this visit, I learned I can call ahead to request stylists by name. June and Angela were quick and efficient. Again, no frills. Don't expect to be pampered or to make long drawn out conversations with stylists. I've been coming here once a month for at least the past 8 months and quite frankly... even I am baffled by my consistency in coming because consistency is definitely something they lack. Every time I come here a different lady cuts my hair so the result is always different. In fact, my haircuts get progressively worse and worse. The ladies cut my hair and always ask me how I feel. I would shrug and point at something I don't like and they would fix it for me. At some point, I just feel bad because cmon I'm paying $8+tip. So I go home disappointed each time questioning my sanity for going there still and am always able to find a bunch of unevenly cut hairs that I have to fix up myself. I want to say "You get what you pay for". For $10, I wasn't expect quality haircuts. Aside from the owner I don't think the other ladies know how to cut hair. If you're gonna come just request to have the owner cut your hair. Thank you for the cheap cuts, but good bye. Worst 1st day experience. Brought my 2 sons to get a haircut a combover and a mohawk. They dont have ac. They don't sweep the hair and don't clean the machines. My youngest got a combover the line was all crooked they didn't even put gel on his hair. Brought him home showered and put gel. After that I checked his hair. Made her cut the lines in the back cause it was crooked. She tried to fix it didn't fix it good. They wanted me to pay for a messed up haircut I denied. The lady told me not to come back there again. I came here for the first time a few days ago. I didn't catch her name, but she gave me one of the worst haircuts ever in my life. I told her to cut it a certain way and she went on a completely different route. She kept pushing my hair down with her hand, and if it didn't stay down, she would cut it. Halfway into the haircut I told her to leave it as be, and attempted to get up several times but she kept pushing me back into the seat, hoping to remediate the error. She kept blaming it on my hair and claiming that she had done this hairstyle before and never had an issue before. She finally stopped and i saw that my hair was so uneven and it looked like something had taken a huge uneven bite out of the right side of my head. I still gave her a 25% tip ($2) because I felt sorry for her. But, that was my first and last time there. Edit: I am bumping this review up to 3 stars because on second thought I should not be so harsh especially for the business owner(s), who are making an honest living. The lady who cut my hair was friendly, but just simply uncooperative and perhaps not as well-versed in cosmetology as I initially believed. My husband, my son and I have gone here since the business opened. Everybody is happy with our haircut. My mom went yesterday to make her hair done, she is very happy as well. The only thing she complained was the salon is cold for her(it was a cold day and the door was opened).
