I read the great reviews, and decided to give Jon a try. I'm so glad I did! I've had 3 digital perms in the last couple of years and I love it (most recent was last week). Jon does such a great job. Okay so this is the second time I've come back to get a digital perm. As always I'm very happy with the results. My curls stay intact for a good 6-7 months so the money is worth it for me. Then I went to his shop and we got to talking how I wanted my hair cut and he cut my hair about an inch off. After we were done and I asked him, how much? I have been going to Jon for my last three haircuts after my girlfriend referred me. I just got back from my third haircut and I'm loving how my hair looks and moves! I asked for blended layers with face framing pieces and he delivered. I have long hair, and the cut, wash, and styling was $95 plus tip. Even after the availability of COVID vaccinations, he is still only taking one client at a time, so you feel like VIP when getting your hair done. Parking is also easy peasy since the building has its own parking lot in the back. Appointments are also easy to make via text, and he tends to have availability within a week. I had an amazing first-time experience here last Friday! Called almost on a whim the Thursday before, got a friendly text response right away. Told him what I was looking for (female, but looking for a gender-neutral/masculine cut, maybe color) and he slotted me in the next day on my day-off. Got a text an hour early to let me know his current client was running a little over. Great communication! The location is very convenient, especially since it has its own parking lot in the back. I walked in and only waited a little for the previous client to be finished. First impression was that the studio is very clean, very classy, well-maintained. Comfortable and also surprisingly empty (one client at a time and only Jon working) but I appreciated that! I'm not a big fan of the hustle-and-bustle, so having the quiet atmosphere made me feel more at ease and listened-to. Jon is very personable and attentive. He was immediately on board with the idea I was going for and he constantly checked in with me to see if I liked what he was planning. Asked me to find example pictures for him, so he had a better idea what I was going for. Made sure I knew how much hair he was gonna be cutting off, how short I was OK with going, whether the style matched what I wanted. The communication was great! And the suggestions were also great! The green highlights were his idea actually--I wouldn't have thought of that at all, but I love it. It really completes the look and I'm glad I listened to his suggestion! Started at 3:45p, finished up (after bleaching for highlights) nearly at 8p. Absolutely worth it and all thanks to Jon's hard work. Thank you so much! I was so scared because I have pretty virgin hair - only attempted perming once before at another hairstylist but it didn't look good so they straight permed over it. Yelp brought to Jon and while he is a sweet guy, my review is based on my $550 balayage experiece. yup, not a typo. that's before the $90 for basic trim + tip (and I regret the tip! too generous) $745 out the door AND he only wants cash on Venmo AFTER you add him as a friend. For $550 I had high expectations, stressed that I wanted something cool not warm. showed Jon pictures of what I had before and he said don't worry he will take care of me. After it was a done I mentioned to him I liked a specific color on the sample fans and he responded oh next time you let me know! You can always use blue shampoo if your hair is too orange. okay... my hair is done and I can already see the warm tone. I had mentioned that to him and he said don't worry it will get lighter. Fast forward a month later I texted him and said my color is too warm "I don't like it". he responded sure it's time to tone it down. I then asked how much would it cost to tone it down. Jon was going to charge me another "under $200" to tone it. (am I crazy to pay that if I've already paid so much a month ago?) WoW, yes you can argue that the improper consultation was mutual, but for a customer to pay that amount, I would expect the expert to know what they are doing. If you're wondering I've already had balayage, essentially it was a lift and tone. Instead of toning it, it became more orange. I've also never had to tone my hair after a month! My hair is also super dry now and nothing works, orange or purple shampoo. Sorry Jon! Thanks for taking me on a short notice (that also explains why you were readily available as this is not your expertise) but, I'm going back to my colorist in OC. It makes a lot of sense to be on the waitlist for 3 months because that means he is a true expert and he is really good! Plus his price is half of what you charge. $650 gives me 2 balayage sessions and the color is what I want. read more

After a year my hair has grown out, and was so so heavy which is the worst when you jogg or gym. I asked to keep the length and add some layers but really do whatever( I'm not picky) and Holy, it looks sooo good and feels so light now.
