I have used Cool Max for over 10 years to check our AC and heating units since we have 2 of them. They are a family run company and I've come to know them very well as they have visited my home at least twice a year unless there is an issue. We have owned this home since September, 2001. We have had our furnace and AC unit replaced by them in the basement and the AC unit replaced upstairs. They have helped to make improvements in our AC units to keep our house cool. They have upgraded our units to code from the poor systems that our builder placed in our home. A true testament to how friendly their service people are is that I was recently asked at work who I use for my AC unit since a co-worker needed a recommendation. I proudly told her about Cool Max and she told me that she had seen their great recommendations on line. When Paul showed up to give her a quote, he told her how much he loved me as a customer and all of our talks throughout the years of them providing quality service in our home. They are a quality group of people with great products and service for any major or minor job that may be needed. We recently had to get a new coil in our upstairs unit that was provided at a discounted price of $500 since we were covered under warranty. I can't stand being hot so I depend on them to keep me cool in this Georgia weather. They have never let me down. They call when they are on their way and send an e-mail. When I call for anything, it's like talking to a family member or friend. They actually care about the people they service. I am so fortunate that I found this company to come out to my house and service my furnace. The technician called me on the phone to let me know he was on the way. When he arrived he was friendly and professional and asked me to explain my concern. He found the problem and gave me and estimate with several options and he was able to fix it the same day. I didn't have to go another night freezing and my kids were able to sleep in their beds upstairs. I even signed up for annual maintenance and got a discount on my repair! Called Cool Max on a Sunday evening at 6:30 pm because of a leak coming from our furnace. The tech Charles arrived within an hour exactly on time. He was courteous and professional. He sucked up the leaking water and explained clearly what needed to be done. Once we realized that we needed to let the frozen pipes thaw out he arranged for the quickest time to return according to my schedule. Charles again arrived promptly for the next appointment, refilled the freon that was low and our A/C was cranking shortly after. Although the freon is outrageous in cost I don't think that would differ by company. Would certainly recommend Cool Max for their service and professionalism. read more

I am very pleased with my service experience with Cool Max. I was given their name and a recommendation by another repair man that I trust and use often for other repair needs. I called this week at 3:45 and requested an appointment ASAP. Emily arrived at 4:45! She went over everything she was seeing with my AC unit, and explained what was needed. Even though it was close to 5:00 I was not charged for after hours and she was here for 3 hours! Paul came out and inspected both air conditioners and noticed one drain line did not have any water draining out. After going into our basement drop ceiling he took pictures of the drain line with low spots where water could sit and not drain out. He quoted us a price to fix or told us we could call someone else. We want him to do the repair, that knows how the pipes should flow for the system. These pipes were put in when the basement was finished many years ago. We are grateful to Paul for taking the extra time to figure out the issue and possibly prevent some headaches down the road. read more

Asked for a quote online, got a call with appointment, quoted on the spot, signed (as I had an idea of the total cost), got the installation done within two days and it took just a half day. I was attracted by the Yelp reviews; it was a local small company, family operated and the price was right in the middle of what I expected. They are friendly and professional. They seem to know their stuff by providing options and did what was necessary to get the installation done (plant trimming around the heat pump and some adjustments for the air handler in the attic). read more

Emily (technician) and Lanie (dispatcher) were amazing to work with. When both of my ac units stopped working over an unseasonably HOT Memorial Day weekend, and Emily came out on Memorial Day and was able to fix one of the units (the other needed a large replacement part and couldn't be purchased on a holiday). Lanie had to deal with my obnoxious home warranty company and was just so easy to work with. They answer every time. There was no leaving a message and waiting for someone to call me back (even on a Sunday and holiday). I highly recommend Cool Max! read more

We purchase the service contract each year which provides a spring and fall equipment tune-up and check-up. I've used CoolMax for about 5 years now. I originally found them in July when my A/C went down. They got it running the next day when the bigger companies couldn't come out for several days.
