Very disappointed with this product. This is my second Cool-Off misting pump, and it failed just one month after the warranty expired. That alone is frustrating, but what makes it worse is the lack of support. Customer service is extremely difficult to reach, and when you do, there's little to no willingness to help or stand behind the product. For something at this price point, you would expect better durability and at least some level of post-warranty goodwill. Overall, poor reliability and even worse customer service. I live in SC and I purchased a high pressure misting system for my back porch. It did not work and all it did was make everything soaking wet. This is after I was told that it would work in high humidity. I tried smaller nozzles and that did not work. Bought a medium pressure system; which had leaks when I first installed it to the point that it wouldn't work. It also got everything wet just like a cheap misting system from Home Depot. When I called, Dave said I should have bought the high pressure system and didn't offer me any trade in or discount on upgrading to a high pressure system. My system was brand new and never used as it failed when I first installed it. At one point this may have been a great company with reliable, made-in-America products. The first misting system I purchased from them many years ago gave me over 10 years of reliable, trouble free misting action, with great customer service. Since then, I feel obligated to report that both the product and the customer service have gone abysmally downhill. When the original unit I bought stopped functioning one year ago, I bought a replacement high pressure system that turned out to be a total lemon. It never worked from the start, and after several months of complaints with the owner, I was sent a new 1000 psi pressure unit that was billed as the "ultimate misting system." It worked great initially with indeed a very nice mist. But after 50 hours, this unit also stopped working. I was able to reach technical support and they give me a few suggestions for trouble shooting. When I looked inside the unit, I was surprised to see that the circuit board was completely corroded. I called the support line over a dozen times but no one ever returned my phone calls. Multiple emails to their support line also went unreturned. Now I am stuck with a corroded, completely useless piece of junk. And the company simply just does not care. While I can accept the fact that mechanical systems sometimes fail, what is unacceptable to me is that a company can care so little about its customers, that they repeatedly ignore their request for service and help. I will never buy a product from them again, and I would urge anyone considering to do so to be very careful. read more

I wanted to install a mist system but did not want that "wet" mist - I wanted a fog. David from Cool-Off called me and advised me to buy the 40' High Pressure system after hearing my needs. It was a chunk of change and more than I had planned to spend. However, now that I have it installed, I have to wonder how this system could cost so little. I purchased a high pressure misting system from Cool-off last year. It only worked for several months in which it was only turned on 2-3 times. Then it stopped working and I called Cool-Off and they said to change the oil which was odd because I had only used it several times. Then it just stopped working. After calling Dave, the owner, many times over a 5 month period. He was not helpful but finally told me to send it back to him on my dime, he would fix it, and send back to me on his dime. I sent it back to him on 2/2/2023 which cost me over $150 and it's been sitting there for over 3 months. He purposely never answers my calls but and has avoided me for the last 3 months. He did answer a text message saying he was waiting on parts and they had just come in and my machine would be fixed by the end of that week which was in late March. That never happened and he avoided all of my phone calls and text messages since then. My multiple telephone calls and text messages lead me no where. I was subjected to lie after lie and false promise after also promise. Ignored, lied to and treated poorly time after time. I finally got him on the phone today, 5/10/2023 and he said he's been in the hospital, which sadly I do NOT believe. I demanded a full refund and he said that is not policy. He said he would fix it by the end of the week and get back to me for sure by that Friday which has come and gone. He has at least a dozen complaints similar to mine on the BBB website. Unfortunately, this is his modus operandi. I believe they sell shoddy equipment and certainly do not stand by their products or morals for that matter. I received multiple bids from companies who install these types of systems and they were twice as much as the Cool-Off package. The cost savings was worth going the DIY route. The product arrived quickly and the only part that took thought was design layout. Once the first pieces were in place, the system goes together quickly. The pump is the heart of any misting system and the Cool-Off pumps are a relatively new design that I expect to last for many years. The materials are all high-quality and the customer service team is very good. There are some videos available to help with the install and was told by them they are working on updating to even better videos. Although the packages are designed for DIY, customer service has contacts for independent contractors in some places that can help with the install. I purchased a Cool-Off Misting system for new patio build in 2021. A plumber installed all the tubing no problem. Finally starting using the system in May 2022. Worked fine. This summer, May 2023, changed the pump oil with only 30 hours on the pump and connected to the misting system. Pump started fine. About 30 minutes later it started to pump water and create mist constantly. The app would not control the pump nor would the manual buttons on the pump. Only way to make it stop was to unplug it from the electrical outlet. After several attempts I heard back from Cool-Off to uninstall the app and then install it again. Did not work. I finally read a review on Amazon about Cool-Off which listed the manufacturer in China so I reached out to them via email. Turns out a fuse inside the transformer has gone bad but the factory said it was not consumer replaceable. I reached back to Cool-Off about sending it back for repair. That was was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing and I don't expect too. Poor customer service and they don't stand behind their product. Go elsewhere to get a misting system. read more
