Unprofessional, poor customer service, lazy My Insurance hired these guys to check our pool filter. For a week we received no notice as to when they would come out, or at least schedule a tech to come out. We tried calling for 3 days straight and every time we called we were told we would get a call back to schedule. Not only did we never receive a call, but when we called they always sounded annoyed and would have horrible customer service. We cancelled their service and had the insurance company call another pool service who responded to us promptly and professionally. In my opinion this represents their work not only in the office but also out at peoples houses. With a lot of other and better pool service providers out there I would highly recommend staying as far away from this one as possible!!! Absolutely poor service!!! read more

Cool pools sent out a tech to fix my pool pump the would no stay running because it wis loosing prime. The tech just disabled the priming function and said it was fixed. FHW needs to use a different service company. This is the second claim the have been sent out to do repairs and both times they sent the same tech and both times he fails to do a proper repair. I told the tech that disabling a safety function to make it work is not fixing it. He said it's running. I told him it's not even building pressure he said the gauge doesn't work and not to bother looking at that as long as the pum is running. I removed the gauge and tested it and it does work. So now the pump is not going to last as long as it should. Do not use cool pools if you don't have to. read more

If you value integrity, honesty, friendly service, prompt service or competent repairs please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. It is my opinion that too many reviews are based on emotion and written in anger ( then maybe regretted). This one is not. For this review I will just provide you with an example of our experience and let you decide for yourself. Is this the type of service experience you would like: We called our home warranty company in October 2020 to have our pool filter looked at, as a previous pool company had said it needed replacement. We value second opinions. The home warranty company then sent out cool pools to evaluate what was supposed to be our "filter". We were not home that weekend and came back late Sunday to see that our pool pump was removed (the pump was fairly new and had been working fine) and the pool filter was there (untouched). More concerning is that the water valves had not been turned off after he removed the pump (that had nothing wrong with it) and water had been spilling into our backyard all weekend (see attached photo). The technician that came out (finally) to return our pool pump complained he was "not making any money on our case" because we lived too far from his office and he then proceeded to try to to sell us a pump. We told him that the pump he removed had been working fine and explained that we thought he was going to be evaluating the filter as we had told the home warranty company. He said he would be happy to look at the filter. As he had run up our water bill and didn't seem to know what he was doing we decided to put the pool filter thing on hold. We did notice that since he returned the pump it had not worked like it did before. Time has a way of passing and we waited until January 2, 2021 to call the home warranty company again to( this time) complain about the pool pump. The home warranty company then sent out cool pools again and they again took our pump. We were left in the dark as to what was going on and weeks had passed. It was very difficult to communicate with cool pools and they again try to sell us a new pump. They hooked up the pump again after "repairing a motor" and at this time it worked for two days. This was now mid January 2021. I am writing this today in February with still a non-functional pool pump. The technician that spoke with my fiancée was very unprofessional and said that he is going to submit a report to the home warranty company in such a way that "none of this would be covered". We then heard from our home warranty company that they did not cover "power surges". We had said there was no power surge and had told them what the technician from cool pools had threatened on the phone. We are going with a different pool company now. Save yourself the drama and go with somebody else. read more

We had a major problem with our pool pump and turned it into our home warranty company so we had no choice who came out to fix our problem. We were contacted within a couple days by Trevor and he came out when he said he would be here and my husband really could of fixed the problem but due to it falling under our warranty and it would be expensive we decided to have someone fix it. So that being said Trevor knew my husband knew his stuff, and actually said he would do exactly what he wanted done to fix it. The next week his guy came out and did the job. It was done and we even had him do some extra stuff we paid for our selves and they did a great job. Very professional, neat, clean, fast and good job. FOLLOW UP: So I had a professional actually look at my spa heater. There were two wires that needed repaired and an igniter. I called Hot Tubs Plus and the part was installed within an hour, but the heater still didn't work properly. HTP came out and found the Thermistor was bad, so they brought it out and installed it and the spa works like new. Why did write the follow up you ask? Ethics folks...simply ethics. Trevor came out and saw two wires that needed to be repaired or replaced. He didn't look any further, did not "test" the system and his remedy was to offer to sell me a new heater for $2800. The igniter cost me about $80. The Thermistor and labor was about $160. For this guy to try and bend me over like that infuriates me and wonder who else has he taken advantage of??? Greedy, unprofessional, unethical MF! read more

We contacted our warranty for service on our pump. We had the tech contact and say he could come out and "no need to meet us, we can just check it out". He was at our house for 5 minutes at the most and left (ring camera picked it up). A week later we had heard nothing back, so I followed up with cool pools. They stated that they had fixed the pump. When I told them our sweep hadn't ran in a week, I was told "well maybe some goggles are stuck in it". I stated that the pump would not turn on and how were they able to fix this in less than 5 minutes. I was told "it's a very fast job". When I contacted another pool company they stated that not even the best tech could diagnose and fix a problem in 5 minutes. Cool pools also mentioned they tried to fix because "we get in trouble if we replace too many motors". So even though my pump was dead, they didn't want to replace it. Home Shield Home Warranty Had a tech from cool pool's come out to my house. The water heater for the spa is not working. The tech showed up. (Dint get his name) I understand that the covid -19 virus is going on but it would have been nice to get a name. Tech walked to the backyard. Was there about 5 minutes came out said the home warranty will call you in 24-48hrs with an answer. As he was walking out I asked what was wrong. He said Its your circuit board. Ill call the home warranty so you can get an answer. Fast forward to today (4-21-20) get a call form home warranty. They say that the circuit board needs to be replaced but they will not cover it because the tech stated that the spa heater was missing the control cover. So pretty much its my fault the spa heater isn't working. If the tech would have taken the time to ask he would have known that I removed the cover that morning so he could inspect the spa heater before he showed up. Now the home warranty won't cover it because they believe the tech over the home owner. The home warranty did say Cool Pool would replace all the missing parts for $3200.00. Pool pump bearings are shot. You can hear it half way down the street. Sean showed up Oct 9 and stated that we had to wait until the pump seized before the warranty company would authorize a replacement. 4 trips later and he replaced the starting cap, which fried after several days of trying to start the motor. Going on two weeks without Trevor returning email, text, or voice-mail. This is a "company" run out of the guys garage. Try and visit their office. Doesn't exist. Pool pump isn't working properly & got with my home warranty. Cool pool provided the service and they told me my pool pump is fine (only loud) but there was a crack in my filtration system and tried to up sell me a pool pump for the future. Ever since the filtration system was repaired my pool pump hasn't worked the same ever since. Nearly no suction from the sweeper or the skimmer. Called and they came to check it out a couple times. Said this was normal and clean out filters again. I complied and been very polite to these guys. But pump still works like crap. I'm no pool expert and I don't care how loud my pump is... But I know pump use to work better then this. Felt like I got the run around and my home warranty took there word over mine. read more

I have American Home Shield home owners insurance to help keep up on home repairs. I have a pool pump that started making a loud noise and not pumping properly. cool pools came out and told me they don't fix noise but offered to upgrade my pool pump at a great price. I only wanted my pump fixed and wasn't in the market to spend more money on something I don't need. Anyhow, AHS sent cool pools back out a second time. I tried to explain that the loud noise was the water pump impeller slipping. That's why it was making the noise and had poor pressure. I than was schooled on not using the proper pool terminology and than was accused of wanting something for free. Not so Cool Pools was than asked to leave.... And this guys name at cool pools is Trevor I should have just fixed it myself and saved a few bucks and insults from a pool guy... Recommendation: Anybody but cool pools read more

I had an easy job for them and to their credit they did a quality job repairing my pool equipment but the owner was pushy and more concerned about his profit than solving my problem. The day he called me he wanted to come by within 45 minutes of the initial call and when I said I needed more time he wasn't really negotiable. When his technician showed up, he didn't ring the bell or knock, he just went in my back yard without any warning and started looking around. I had a insurance claim and they use Cool Pool as a contractor . I got a call within a few days wanting to come out the next day. I told them no one was home but i would get back to them what day would work. Well about two weeks later I contact my insurance to ask for the contractor number that had contacted me. To my surprise I come to find out that they submitted a false claim stating that they had came out to repair the pool and had been fixed so claim was completed and closed. Wow now talk about scam that is exactly what they did. I would not recommend them to anyone.. Much less trust them to do my repairs. read more
