Since Scott has moved on and doesn't run this business anymore, his son Daniel has been the pool guy. I hate to rate 1 star ratings, but my experience with Daniel has been extremely negative. Daniel doesn't come regularly like Scott did, matter fact when our pool was serviced by Scott he maintained our pool weekly and made sure to take good care of us, now... we'll be lucky if Daniel even services our pool. My husband has tried to reach out to Daniel so may times thru text, but Daniel ignores it. Daniel continues to charge us for monthly maintenance and services, but does not service our pool at all. Our pool has become green and now we have to probably find another pool guy. Daniel is not an honest person and the integrity of this company is no longer something that is not valued. It's unfortunate, especially for us as the customers. I would no longer recommend this company to anyone I know or anyone looking for pool service. If I could go back in time and choose a pool company, it would not be this one unless the pool guy was going to only be Scott, unfortunately Daniel doesn't have the same work ethic like Scott. Daniel is a really nice person, but we are looking for someone to service our pool, not just be a friendly person. read more

Final Update on 9/6/2018 - Scott came by this morning and refunded my May payment in cash. He made sure I knew that I was responsible for his Having to fire Daniel (Scott's son) and his loss of business due to my review. Hmmm, I'm pretty sure all that is the result of not doing the job you're being paid to do! I appreciate that Scott finally refunded my May payment because they didn't take care of my pool during May. I don't appreciate being lectured or blamed for your issues caused by your lack of concern and your son's failure to do his job. I am glad I have moved on. No more updates will follow. What a total disappointment My Pool Guy turned out to be. We kept them on when we bought our house and have some issues with Daniel not showing up because his truck was broken or he was in the ER. It became a habit and I had to start harping via text to get him to show up to service my pool which is what I paid for. Now, here we are one year later and he tells me he's going to come back the next day to clean our filters because of a lot of dirt and silt in the system. What happens? His girlfriend ends up in the ER. I called Scott about the no show because I'm tired of being treated like I don't matter and I hear NOTHING from Scott! Daniel texts me later and says he'll be here that afternoon. Ok, he shows up and cleans the filter while I'm gone but the next week his "new" truck is broken! NO SHOW AGAIN! I texted Daniel about it and he says he showed up later in the afternoon and serviced our pool. Well, we had five adults in our home throughout that day and no one saw him. My dog barks a lot to announce when someone is in the back yard and guess what? NOTHING! No one came in our backyard that day. I really detest being lied to! I have had enough! I told Scott via text that I am stopping their service because of their lack of service and told him I want my May payment refunded. He tried to act like he wanted my business at this point but it was too little too late. He has completely quit communicating with me and refuses to refund any money. Daniel came for only one service and came back to clean the filter after dropping the ball. A refund was a reasonable request. If you're looking for a pool cleaner, RUN! Scott and Daniel are NOT the guys you want. Scott only wants your money and Daniel doesn't have any work ethic and doesn't hesitate to lie to you!! I have already hired a new pool cleaner and after one cleaning, my pool looks better than it ever did with My Pool Guy. read more

So I have to be up front here...Scott did not actually service my pool because it is an above ground pool and if the chemicals eat through the vinyl, his insurance won't cover that damage. He did ask me about my problems I was having with my filter though. I had put it together myself and wasn't actually sure I'd done it correctly. He offered to come by after work and take a look at it for free! Who even does that? Well, Scott does! He showed up and checked my connections and gave me some really useful information about the pump, chemicals, upkeep and future placement of the pool for next year! And he gave me some extra stuff to help me seal the drips I had because he had switched to a new brand for his own work! If I could hire him to do my pool, I would do it in a heart beat! Scott really cares about customers and doing the right thing regardless of what he might get out of it in the future! I highly recommend Scott if you want to be able to learn about your pool and get support for your backyard adventures! :) read more

A month ago, our pool looked disgusting with things growing in it. My husband and I couldn't keep up with cleaning it since our filter wasn't working.
