I was trying to sell a pair of Jordan 4 Metallic Purple The offer I got was similar to the other shops. I have read past reviews on here and I was expecting horrible service and rude employees, and honestly it was the complete opposite. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a nice dude, the guy at the counter was super professional and courteous answered questions. As I was looking for shoes to trade for I found a Pair of What The 5's worn maybe once for $160 with no box and missing a lace lock. These shoes looked Brand New, I came in to sell/trade a pair and ended up just buying. Over all a good vibes. First time I went to the CK. The store clerks were nice and informative about their selections. I came out with 3 pairs of shoes off top no cap. Most of the shoes they have are in my size too. I have gone to Coolkicks numerous times when it came to selling sneakers that I buy for retail. I have had good interactions and customer service from other employees. However today I didn't really have that from a current encounter with a different employee name "JAY" guy with braids. When I'm selling sneakers I expect to do business because I'm very direct, I know why I am there and I also have priorities rather than spend time there. I really didn't have that interaction but rather observing the employee engaging in side chats and side comments with other customers, I understand it's not a retail store but the same BASIC RULES apply and that's helping one customer at a time and getting back to the other and not trying to help multiple at a time. Such a wonderful experience for my son & his buddy! We walked into the store while the owner was in the midst of a podcast. As the kids shopped around, and it was clear that the culture of the store was on point. Each and every employee knows how to run the store and take excellent care of their customers. Drove an hour to this place and arrived at 6:50pm. Google Maps show closing time at 7pm and when I get there, the security said 6:45pm. They definitely do have hectic looking piles of sneakers behind their various counters which is a bit odd- I just make sure to watch closely whenever anyone handles my kicks. Awesome store if you are a sneaker head and like to get sneakers that you don't see everywhere. The store is well put together with a great selection and reasonably priced items. The employees were really helpful. I ended up buying a pair of Revenge Storms at an incredible price. The people working there seemed really nice and my sons loved the experience. I was there for my kids (9 and 11) so the styles and atmosphere isn't geared towards middle aged moms, I suspect. We drove to Melrose yesterday just to look at this shoe store which was SUPPOSED to open at noon. When we got there a few minutes early people were already in line, so we started waiting and were reassured by an employee that the store would be opening at noon. But at noon the employees inside the store suddenly decided they wanted to clean and polish the floor. What the heck? Why didn't they do this earlier in the morning? Best Sneaker store in LA! I've been to most La sneaker stores but none compare to Cool Kicks and The Cool. They had amazing customer service kindly greeting me when I walked in and helping me out with finding a out of shoes I found on there Instagram page. They had amazing prices on the used sneakers and they were maybe used 1 time in total I bought three pairs of shoes.
