I've been going to the UES 5th Avenue location for a few years and glad they opened this new location downtown. I recently started seeing Martha who has been helping me with my coolsculpting treatments. It's not the most comfortable treatment but Martha is professional and friendly which makes it much more bearable. Martha also goes above and beyond to start early or stay late to accommodate people who have to work during the days. Now I have to wait 2-3 months to see the maximum effects which I am confident in. They have a first time coolsculpting customer special as well. I also got a hydrafacial for the first time which I'd describe as a wet sand blast with different purposes such as a peel or hydration. I think there are 4 types but not sure what they are all. Either way I feel and look better despite the NYC winter. I referred a friend here and they had an equally great experience! read more

I went in for one Coolsculpting treatment. In the follow-up visit I met with Dr. Rappaport for the first time. Upon examination he said that based on the type of fat I have that I would not be a good candidate for Coolsculpting. It just wouldn't be effective. This is after I had paid for the first treatment. He was willing to to apply the payment I had already for Coolsculpting to a new treatment using lipo , but that's not what I want to do. I shouldn't have been green lighted to get the Coolsculping treatment to begin with and really they should just refund me the money. This is a warning to everyone. Under no circumstances should you proceed with Coolsculpting without insisting on a preliminary evaluation with the doctor. Don't settle for being seen by a tech. read more

Fantastic experience and INCREDIBLE result from Coolsculpt. They offer video consults which are fast and easy. I did my flanks and lower abdomen- within 3 weeks there was a noticeable difference, and by 8 weeks I went down an entire waist size. I am a physician assistant, and I work in cosmetic dermatology, so I was skeptical about how well something so minimally invasive could create a legitimate result. When it turned out that the procedure wasn't ideal for me, I inquired about the well reviewed vein treatments, which I had been delaying doing for my legs. Needless to say, deciding to have my legs treated in the clinic was one of the best medical decisions I have made in a while. Tamara, whom I met during my consult with Dr. Smith, was the specialist with whom I worked during the four month procedure. I had coolsculpting done on my belly back in October, 2020. I'm over weight and a diabetic. I hoped that the treatment would help me medically. I paid $5,000.00. During the following 3 weeks I was in pain on and off and called the office several times complaining of pain. I was eventually sent medication. They say this pain doesn't happen to everyone but I was unlucky. My expectations were reasonable but I did think that the procedure would work to some extent. I hoped to loose a couple of inches. I went back to Coolspa after 2 months, in late Dececember, 2020. Unfortunately for me the procedure did not work at all. I was told that because of my weight I would need to have another procedure done which I agreed to, until they said I had to pay another $5,000.00! Unless you have money to burn I suggest going back to diet and exercise. read more

The entire experience at Coolspa was wonderful! At the very first visit, I was taken back within minutes of arriving in the office. I met with Dawn, who drew out the contours on my body and then discussed the procedure. It seemed like it was going to be good for me, so I scheduled the procedure visit. I also met with John at that visit to go over financing options and scheduling, and he was extremely helpful and down to earth. At the procedure visit, Dawn redrew all of the contours and went over all of the side effects in detail. The procedure itself is a bit uncomfortable as expected. For the first few minutes, the sensation stings a bit, but once the freezing happens, everything goes numb. Taking off the applicators is also uncomfortable, but this is only momentary. After the procedure, I was definitely very sore. It was hard to bend over, and when walking, I felt like I had a blubbery belly that was jiggling all around (just because of the swelling). The soreness gradually improved and went away after about 2 weeks. The numbness took a long time to improve, was very numb for the first month, and then gradually improved. I still have mild numbness about 3 months out but doesn't bother me as much now. I can notice that there is a slight difference from the skin that didn't have the applicators, but it is not painful or sore. The results were at first difficult to notice because I was looking at the mirror nearly daily (and also because the belly was so swollen immediately after the treatment), but when I went in for my follow-up, the results looked great when comparing the before and after photos. Particularly with respect to the love handles, these had improved significantly, with an improvement (though less dramatic) also in my abdomen. Overall, the staff at Coolspa are kind, informative, professional, and helpful, and I would definitely recommend them! read more

This was was the most horrifying experience so far in my life. They suggested the Morpheus 8 for skin tightening for my arms because of my loose skin. It has been 4 days and I have frightening bruises all over my arms. I was never informed that this could be the side effect. They never targeted areas of actually bad loose skin, only areas where it was less necessary. They also left me there alone for 1 hour maybe for their lunch break. There was barely any follow up after I informed them of my condition. It seemed like they should have decreased the settings during the procedure when they saw the bruising was developing. I had made them aware of an upcoming wedding that I had to attend and still no warning that these bruises might occur. To add insult to injury I had to pay a very high price for the creams meant to soothe the skin. I do not recommend this place if you care about your skin! read more

Cool sculpting doesn't work. Didn't make any difference at all for any of the places I treated- stomach, arms, legs etc. Plus it hurt like crazy- like putting your skin in a vice and feeling it squeeze. If something sounds too good to be true it probably is. Huge waste of money. I'm not sure why it has any good reviews at all- it's possible ppl who want to tell the truth are intimidated because staff members respond to all these reviews which I find a little messed up. Save your money and get a trainer or something instead! That at least has a chance of working. **Update in response to the comment below because I can't respond directly. I find it disturbing, uncomfortable, and frankly revolting that you would try to discredit my review by saying I didn't follow up with you. I didn't follow up with you because coolsculpting did not work for me and I'm pretty sure it's a scam. You also looked me up and called me on the phone after I posted the review which is really inappropriate and I did not ask for that. I think I made it pretty clear that I think commenting on everyone's reviews is shady and intimidating in the first place and you took it even further than that. You claim you respond to everyone's reviews because "engaging with your patients and providing support is important to you." That's a brilliantly slick way of trying to publicly discredit people's negative reviews of your business. You point by point tried to dismantle and disprove everything I said about my treatment saying that you and your patients had a different experience. Yelp isn't about your experience. I am a 30 year old guy and did the Coolsculpting treatment for my chest. I highly recommend it! Not only were the results very noticeable within the projected time period but the treatment itself was very easy and the recovery even easier. There may have been 10 minutes of discomfort during the 1hr treatment but the rest was easy. Additionally, there is no restrictions on what you can do after the treatment.
