Had brunch on Saturday. The service was a bit slow. The food was excellent. I started with a Coopers Hawk Bloody Mary. It comes with a skewer that includes andouille sausage, cheese, shrimp, cucumber and olive with a beer chaser. I recommend you order it. For brunch we had the smoked brisket hash which comes with two sunny side up eggs and breakfast potatoes and the canoed bacon BLT which also comes with potatoes. This place is basically a wine tasting room first, and then a full bar and a restaurant. The wines they serve here are basically sourced from juice around the country/world and put together at a central facility in Illinois. Personally, I prefer estate grown and bottled wines from their corresponding appellations, not a central processing facility. It's also likely your waiter is probably gonna make a pitch for you to join the wine club. We came here for the food and to try some of the wine with the dinners. Sitting down then looking at the menu and seeing the prices, my expectations definitely went up. Our very attentive waiter Rory recommended some drink choices and set down a complimentary warm loaf of bread. We started with the sweet chili calamari. It was a very large battered portion coated in a thick Ponzu glaze that was perfectly cooked. I got the prime rib sandwich with a side salad and my guests had the Napa chicken salad and gnocchi. The prime rib had some good medium rare sliced beef, but the aus jus was oddly sweet and it was not something I'd order again. The Napa chicken salad was nothing real special and the chicken was as cold as the refrigerator it came from. As someone who works in the wine business, the sparkling brut and Pinot Noir were hardly worth the price. We all agreed the food was a little underwhelming for the price. I was blown away by this Cooper's hawk location! Visiting from Jacksonville, FL and took a client out who had never been to CH before and was super impressed with the lobby area and layout of this location. The wines are all on display, the store of knickknacks is huge and enticing and their tasting bar is also large and welcoming. Our server was kind and attentive, food came out quickly and was hot and fresh and my client left happy. We made reservations for 5pm and the restaurant was empty. They have a great indoor outdoor dining option. Tons of people were wine tasting when we arrived. By 6pm the restaurant was filling up. You can get wine samples of the wine you want to drink for dinner which was a nice touch. If I hadn't tasted two wines I would have ordered one I didn't enjoy. The Coopers Hawk Cab Lux reserve was delicious! I had the Mahi Mahi which was delicious. It would be paired better with asparagus vs broccolini. Either way it was delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs was very good. The Parmesan chicken was also very good. I loved how thin the chicken breasts were. We made a reservation for a booth for 12:30. When we arrived, we were told to wait in the wine bar / shop area, but given no time estimate on how long it would take. It seemed like we were a burden to the 3! staff members working the check in desk. I'm sure they wanted us to buy things and try a wine tasting but that was never mentioned. After about ten minutes they asked if we would be willing to switch to a high top. We should have said no... as we had awful service sitting there. It was like we were invisible even though we were seated in the middle of the restaurant. Our server did come quickly to start, and my husband ordered a glass of wine. I asked for a minute to look at the full wine list before making my decision. It took about ten minutes for him to come back this time as well, to our surprise with no wine for my husband. It took him so long to come back that I had decided what wine I wanted, and we had decided on all of the food we wanted including appetizers and entrees. I ordered the red wine flight and we ordered the seafood bisque, a Caesar salad, calamari, and the special wild mushroom flatbread pizza. A different person brought over my wine flight about another ten minutes later. It's interesting because it actually features a Spanish wine as one of the options. You'd think they would have a flight with only their wines on it. Then our food started coming, delivered by runners and not our waiter. My husband still did not have his glass of wine that he ordered right as we were sat down. Our waters were also empty at this point and were the majority of our meal since they were full of ice and only had a small bit of water able to fit in the glass. Plus, our waiter was barely ever visible. We also had to ask for water every single time our glasses were empty, which was a lot with all the ice. The food was okay. The soup tasted great but was too thick. The Caesar salad tasted excellent but had too much dressing. The calamari had great flavors but was chewy and the breading was awful. My husband refused to even eat them. The special wild mushroom flatbread pizza tasted great but had very few mushrooms on it and most of them were button mushrooms. His wine was finally delivered in the middle of our meal when we were finally able to ask for more water. We should have asked for two more water glasses so we didn't run out as often. We finished everything but the calamari, checked out, and went to the wine bar / shop area to buy one of the truffles in the case there. Again, it took a while for someone to help us check out and we felt like a burden to even ask for the truffle. I really really wanted to enjoy our experience based on other reviews but the staff we encountered were so unpleasant and inattentive plus for the price the food was just average. I'm not sure I'd ever want to come back here again, unless it was for a wine tasting or something as the wine was actually good. Hopefully you have a better experience than we did. read more

This was a really hard place to rate. I think the service staff who attended to us was excellent. And so that is a 4 star. But some of the staff sorta gave us an odd look and it makes me want to lower it a star. I felt very uncomfortable. I came in with my colleague on a Wednesday night around 8pm. The menu is varied and was pretty interesting. Tons of things that sounded really good. I ended up with the surf and turf which was a solid option. The pistachios crusted grouper was delicious. I peered it with a local beer. My colleague with a mushroom risotto which she thought was average. When you walk in, you can stay in the wine bar area or you can go sit in the dining room. There's a Wine O'Clock Happy Hour including 5 appetizers and wines by the glass. That's Monday - Friday 3:00pm- 5:30pm You can also come during Brunch & Bubbles which is on Saturday & Sunday 10:00am - 2:00pm. If none of that interests you. Had a phenomenal brunch yesterday! We did our monthly wine tasting since we are one club members. The selections were great and the service was awesome. We also had a lovely brunch in our server was awesome. My husband had the brisket hash, and I ended up having the roasted vegetable and goat cheese flatbread. Totally believing in positive intent, the chef thought it best to stick w chicken and wow it was very good and probably a good choice to not do scallops. Third time a charm! After two previous disappointing visits to the Hawk, everything was perfect this time. Never short of hospitality at Cooper's Hawk. This place still remains one of our favorite places to go. The ambiance has been upgraded if you haven't been in for a while. They've got some brighter colors, but not too bright. I like the new design aesthetics and extra roominess you get out of those changes. This means better spacing in the tasting area, easier ways to move around, and clear sights into the bar area. I opted for the Chef Recommendation Sonoma Chicken Sandwich and the combination of flavors was quite satisfying. The salty and sweet combination made it all too easy to finish. Wine and dessert, a double-espresso - what's not to love? I certainly realize that it's the entire team out there that makes the place special, though I would love to just mention that Onur Cinar is a gem of an individual. I love to give compliments when things go right, and as a result, I always call him over if I see him working to let him know how great our time was at the establishment. He's wonderful to chat with, and I'd love to normalize people getting compliments for jobs well done instead of people only hearing about when things don't go as expected. read more

We were seated at the table in front of the kitchen window. On numerous occasions we witnessed one of the cooks licking his fingers multiple times while preparing food. One person from our party spoke with the manager. The manager never came to our table to apologize, no I am so sorry, no nothing. Very disappointed in their lack of customer service. She left, came back in a couple mins with our waters. Told us they're a wine place. I looked on the menu for a Chianti, didn't see one. Wife asked for a gluten free menu. Server left came back and asked what we'd like to drink. I had a Margarita which was pretty good. She had the peach tea. Daughter had water. We also put in for some apps. Sprouts and pit stickers. Both were good and arrived on time. Server came about have way thru eating our apps and asked about mains. We ordered. She left. Finished our apps and my drink. Everything was ok up to that point. Server came by, picked up our app plates, left the empty marg glass and disappeared. Mains came. Sounded like some confusion as they delivered it. Wife had the GF veg risotto, kiddo had the chicken risotto I had the fillet. They asked who had the GF chicken risotto, which no one order. Then said an oops gf veg risotto. Honestly they booth look about the same. I'm not sure they do anything different to either one to make it GF but unknown. We ate. Fillet was good to order nicely. The broccoli was ok. Had a huge stalk that I couldn't even cut thru. They both liked the risotto. Meanwhile my empty glass sat. 2 bites in severer did a fly by to ask if things looked ok. We said yes. Left the empty glass and took off. That was the last time we saw her. Finished our food. Waited about 10 mins. She finally came back to ask if we wanted desert, we declined. 5 mins later we got the bill. 3 mins later we got the receipt and left. I would have ordered at least one more cocktail and maybe dessert, it was my birthday after all. But our service was less than ideal. It was probably a good thing we left when we did. Couldn't stop anywhere on the way home. Just made it to the door before my wife got sick. Unknown if the dish was gluten filled or if something else was going on, but I'm not sure we'll be back. Two of us went with the soup and salad selection. We both had lobster bisque and the wedge salad. Soup was very good, flavorful and adorned with croutons. Portion was small. Wedge salad was generous and had all the usual fixings. Both of us were members of the clean plate club. A friend had the pork chop, lunch version, one chop with broccolini and potatoes. Chop was prepared perfectly and broccoli portion was generous. Wifey had soup and margarita flatbread. Soup was served hot which was appreciated. Flatbread had tomato slices, fresh mozzarella and generous basil shavings. Very good place. We were not disappointed. Value equation tilted to the right - a little pricey. We don't get the opportunity to visit Cooper's Hawk often because the closest one is an hour away. The restaurant offers a comfortable dining experience. The menu includes a number of favorites but the one my wife and I enjoy the most is The Country Rigatoni. We have also enjoyer the fire cracker shrimp . My family and I had a wonderful holiday experience at Cooper's Hawks at Greenway Station. We dined here on Christmas Eve Eve as our holiday dinner, and the restaurant had a beautiful holiday ambiance with many wines and accompaniments for sale. To begin, we wanted to do a little bit of wine tasting to start at the wine tasting bar as strongly recommended by some friends. As a sweet-wine lover, I tried the Romance Red and Moscato and loved the Romance Red. It was tasty, sweet, while not too heavy. Because we only tried a couple instead of the full tasting we got the tastings for free, which was a pleasant surprise! I highly highly recommend trying a few wines before sitting down and deciding on one. Once seated, we ordered drinks and enjoyed the excellent appetizers of Brussels Sprouts and Sweet Chili Calamari. The Brussels Sprouts were cut perfectly as to not be too large, were cooked perfectly and crispy, and had delicious pesto and sesame siracha aioli drizzled throughout. It was also loaded with peanuts which add a nice crunch and flavor but were present in arguably too large of an amount. The calamari was very crunchy and bursting with flavor! Service was friendly but slow. Our food came in a rather timely manner but only because it was delivered from help from the kitchen. We ordered and enjoyed the juicy Parmesan-crusted filet medallions and drunken shrimp, fresh blackened ahi tuna, warm and delicious baked Parmesan shrimp scampi, and flavorful Dana's parmesean-crusted chicken. One of the dishes came out with the incorrect side but after a wait that was eventually corrected and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered dessert to-go and we waited upwards of 20 minutes for two s'more bundinos that were pre-made. That was a little frusturating sitting around waiting, especially for two desserts that were not very flavorful and overloaded with marshmallow topping. However, we understand the place was probably busier than usual for a Monday night. But despirte some waiting the experience and food at Cooper's Hawk was overall worth it! read more
