First time trying and had a nice evening. Ordered several appetizers to try. In order of favorites: 1) Bacon - fantastic, sweet, salty and oh so yummy. 2) Deviled eggs - be sure to eat them with the pickled onions in the middle of the plate, adds an entire extra layer of flavor 3) Fried Green Tomatoes - great batter, good fry on it and very savory 4) Nachos - little too much refied beans but good flavor Nice interior and great staff. Even tried our hand at their Tuesday night - #wrongestanswers

    Shrimp Boil and Strawberry Margarita
    Vero C.

So it was our first time and I had the shrimp boil and it was decent, needed more flavor but not bad. Hubby had pizza no complaints. My strawberry margaritas on the rocks was good but my husband said his michelada was the worst he's ever had. My waiter seemed a little odd, he took forever to bring my drinks out and they sat at the bar for like 8 min and he only had 2 tables. I really didn't like his service he seemed distracted or something... I also told him he had a huge eye egg booger on his lashes and he said oh I don't care after trying to rub it off and touch everything. Well I cared bc we lost our appetite. I was also afraid it would fall on my food.. so yeah it's a no for me. On a side note fried pickles were good.

Stopped in to check it out. Way better than the last place. Only issue was the margaritas are the size of a shot. Would be good if they got a house frozen Margarita machine with actual margarita sizes, maybe even make some Coronaritas. Bartenders were great but they forgot us and we spent a long time waiting. The beers were sizable and they had other specialty cocktails that were a decent size. Try that next time. Like what they did outside. It's a legit bar now with a lil stage. Would be cool if they had Lone Star Beer Light on tap but no one seems to. The Big Red Chicken wings were very small but tasted good. So ya want margaritas the San Antonio way go to Grand Tequila. Ya want anything else it's a good pick.

1st time here, we would go back, food was good and I like the variety too, ambiance was good, the playlist was good, great choices for drinks too, there were 4 of us, I was the driver so I had ice tea, but everyone else tried the craft drinks..great selection on tap beers too, can't wait to try some of the apps

Lucy Cooper's Ice House is a good place for happy hour. We had great service for such a large group of people. We had a group of 16. The Paloma I ordered was ok, the fajita nachos were yummy and the buffalo wings were spicy. Overall good place.

    Hawaiian pizza

Came here for lunch while I was in town for work. Impeccable service and food. The Hawaiian pizza was so tasty it had bbq sauce and tasted a bit like a bbq chicken pizza. The fries had a salt/sweet seasoning. I didnt love my wings but I normally get bonus so that was on me. Definitely wouldn't come back here to eat.

We thought we would give Coopers a try. When we got there we realized it's no longer Lucy Coopers but now just Coopers. There wasn't too many people there eating but we thought we will give it a try. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and some wings. You only get eight wings per order, but they let you choose two flavors. The food came out really fast surprisingly fast. The wings were good. They come with a large portion of french fries as well. The pizza on the other hand was undercooked and gross. It tasted like a frozen pizza You could get at H-E-B. They do serve Coke products which was a plus if we go back definitely would try something different. I would never recommend the pizza.

It was my 1st and will be my last time here. We sat at the bar. Service killed it for me. Drinks were good, tho. Come check them out for yourself. Maybe you'll get better service.

I like this place! Got a funky vibe, tunes and TVs and cool deco. Funky menu too. It has outdoor tables with games and TV. More bar then restaurant; it is 21 over only. Friendly helpful staff. Full bar with loads of taps. Seems like a cool place to catch a game. Burger and fries good. Wings heavily seasoned. Take time to look thru the menu, since many different items. Chicken fried deviled eggs picture attached. A bit pricy. We'll be back to try more menu items.

Fun vibe! We love Lucy Cooper's. This was the location at 151, smaller but still Braunda's famous recipes. Janice took great care of us keeping food and beer coming. I always have a hard time deciding what to have because everything on this menu is delicious! This visit was just another satisfying meal that solidifies my love for Lucy Cooper's!

Where is the 0 stars - do not recommend button?! I read a post on the SA restaurants FB page about not supporting local and we need to do better bc good restaurants like Lucy Coopers are going to close if we don't support. So being the Good Samaritan that I am...I took my husband on a local outing to support. Epic fail. Now it WAS Friday BUT slow is slow. We got there at 7:50. I looked for a seat inside but there was none, so we opted for the patio. They have mist fans blowing so it wasn't horrible but it was hot. At 8:20 not one waitress had greeted us or told us to leave. Either would've sufficed, but 3 other people were greeted within this 30 min window. I go inside and find a table. They wiped it down pretty quickly and brought us menus. We finally ordered at 8:40...50 mins after arriving. Food was meh. Underwhelming. Why are the tin can nachos on the menu and what show did they get aired on because NO?!?! They are very soggy and have minimal toppings coming out the can. The flavor was good but I can only eat 1 mushy nacho. I think they keep them in the back tinned up bc how else would they immediately be mushy. Pass! Pickles were 3/5. Wings - hot lemon paper were delicious. If I was forced to go back I'd order wings and fries. Drinks were too pricey to be this small. Is this the river walk? No way this bill should have been $100. Waste of my time, money, and Friday night. This is why we don't support local. Stone Werks would never lol

Chris the Manager is exceptional and so is their amazing staff! I had a party of 15 plus and I flew in from out of town. My guests enjoyed their time and the delicious savory options on the menu. Thank you to your staff member Krista and others that stepped in to provide us superior service. They will do all they can to deliver a great experience. Thank you for a memorable time.

Is it loud inside can I hear the person talk next to me?

It wasn't loud at all for us. They're very accommodating as well and listen to their customers. It's rare to get that kind of service these days.

I got mine with a side of gravy and French fries. I got my food in great time. Considering the size of our group and the chaos of orders going on and all different times, I was impressed. The chicken was delicious. Very juicy, and the breading was perfect. There was a slight hint of heat to it, but it was not overpowering. Very delicious. I would recommend this place for sure. The service was great, my drink stayed full, and they did a spectacular job entertaining a large group. It was a little pricey, but not bad. I will definitely be back. Enjoy.

Arriving here during a Saturday evening in late March, we decided on eating here since Pluckers was…read morecrowded. Upon entering, we were worried that we'd meet the same fate as before as all the tables were filled and there was about 20-25 people in front of us. Fortunately we noticed a couple empty chairs at the bar and the bartender mentioned they were open. Counting our blessings we took em and started looking at the menus. As I'm browsing the menu, the girlfriend and I are intrigued by our surroundings as we saw plenty of tvs showing sports and a lot of music memorabilia on the walls. Made me think this is the kind of bar scene I would like to host at home if I had the space and $$$. But that's why we dine out at places like this. Back to the menu, I noticed a ton of beer taps so after browsing the menu, I decided on the hazy beer hug by Goose Island while the girlfriend ordered a spicy watermelon margarita. As an east coaster, I enjoy anything by Goose Island as they serve several types of beer where I used to live back in Northern VA. So I was happy sipping on it. The girlfriend enjoyed the margarita as it had the right amount of spice. She also mentioned she could hardly taste the booze in it; while this might be a complaint with some patrons, she prefers her cocktail this way. As for food, I decided on the Ultimate Burger with a side of broccoli and she ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich with fries. The burger is fine; pretty tasty even. But the broccoli, definitely raw with only a brush of butter. It's obvious they did not microwave it in the bag long enough. We ordered a second side of broccoli; and same thing; raw with a slight butter glaze. They also gave me some fries with my burger; I'm not complaining about free fries but kind of odd they were thrown on the plate. Pretty rookie move there. Meanwhile, the crispy chicken sandwich was basic; good texture but not much flavor; could use more spices and flavors in the batter. Both dishes are pretty big so we were stuffed afterwards. I'd be open to returning to try other items or maybe if I'm in the mood for that burger. But definitely getting a different side with it.

The service is excellent, everyone beginning to end was super nice and helpful. Our server did a great job at explaining the menu and what to expect. We got the original fried chicken, which is basically a chicken cut up into pieces so you get a little bit of everything of a whole chicken. This recipe is still crispy, we got the honey soy sauce on the side, and that sauce is amazing! We ended up ordering more. We also got the crispy wings, those are double fried and definitely have lots of crisp! Every piece was hot and fresh, very juicy and a perfect seasoning. We also ordered some fries that had a powdered cheese on them and the guy did let us know it was a sweet cheese, but I was definitely not expecting that much sweet. Honestly they were not my favorite, it's very strange to have a sweet powdered cheese on french fries. I was not a fan, but my husband liked them. And lastly, is the slaw and the pickled radish that they bring out, I liked those very much and they gave a perfect balance and touch of acid against the wings and the richness of the sauce. The location isn't something you immediately see off the road, it's right in the corner of a strip mall off of De Zavala. Definitely worth the trip, these wings and this chicken were 10 out of 10!
