Copa Airlines You get what you pay for. Flying Copa is like flying spirit airlines. I'm desperately trying not to blame the crew because they are over work in this tin can. We are all squish in but I still can't help feel being ignored. You can't be timid here if you want your drinks/coffe otherwise they will skip you. The only consolation I get is it's one less trip to the bathroom for me. Speaking of bathrooms there both are in the rear of the this 737-800 at least for the 94% of us in economy. The food in most airlines is passable, for Copa it's just fuel or a regulatory requirement. Any meat in the menu comes in bits and pieces, what you will get is a lot of carbs. You also don't get a screen- it's your phone and the movie selection is severely limited. I know my rant won't change anything but at least it makes me feel better while being ignored for the next set of drinks read more

I flew on four COPA flights for a recent vacation. It's in the Star Alliance family. I paid extra to select my seats on all four flights. Though I paid and selected my seats, my seat was changed for 3/4 flights. The attendants were able to fix 2 of the flights back to my original seat that I purchased. Note - they blast the air on the planes and it gets very cold. I was so grateful I had brought a jacket with me. I was still cold even after wearing my jacket! Other than that, the flights were fine. When I put in my claim, COPA informed me that they never process the insurance request and would not refund my $2,300. Their insurance partner CHUBB also refused to help. My review is so close to Cesaric S.'s that I will use his report to update my one. I don't do this, and I've been very patient with them, but Copa Airlines needs a class in customer satisfaction. So I'll share my experience with them and the unacceptable situation two months after my trip to Brazil, when my luggage was lost, localized at Chicago O'Hare, and was forgotten during my connecting flight. I've been back in the U.S. since January 14th and still waiting for COPA to send my baggage and reimburse me for all my losses. I started a claim where they stated I would be updated daily on the status of my luggage, and I am still waiting to receive a follow-up. I called daily, and nobody could tell me anything other than: "You need to stay, and we will keep you updated many times by Miss Eugenia. I asked to talk with the supervisor, but she said that was impossible because she couldn't transfer. Miss Eugenia gave me two numbers for the COPA phone in O'Hare, but the numbers are DISCONNECTED. She also told me to wait until COPA finalizes the investigation; unfortunately, this took me out of control. I think this is a criminal issue, and the only way to have my baggage and all the inconvenience reimbursed is to open a Police Clainting and contact a Lawyer to represent me and see what COPA says. P.S. - My luggage is seated at United Airlines O'Hare, and only COPA can pick it up. P.S. 2 - I have all phone logs to confirm my reviews, and if necessary, we'll ask for the records made. read more

So I'm sharing my experience with them and the unacceptable resolution when my luggage was lost and finally found after my trip to Panama. I left for Panama on 11/11/22 and paid for a baggage check only to get to Panama and have no luggage. They had no clue where my bag was. It was miss labeled and sent somewhere else. I started a claim where they stated I would be updated daily on the status of my luggage and received no follow up. I called daily and nobody could tell me anything other than we will keep me updated. Now I'm in another country with no toiletries or clothing. I had to purchase both while there for 5 days because my luggage was not found until after I returned home. I returned on 11/15/22 and I get a message saying the found my luggage on 11/16/22. The luggage was now in Panama. They returned the luggage to me here in Chicago that following Friday. Fast forward last week after finally getting a response about my claim and being reinbursed. They are only reimbursing me for 3 days max at $50 per day when I was without for 5 days and spent more than $150 on items. Then I asked to be reimbursed the fee charged for the bag since I never received it while I was in Panama and they told me no cause it was delivered to its destination. I thought was being punked! It was delivered 5 days after I arrived and when I was no longer in the country. I've worked in a customer service oriented field for 15 years and the lack of accountability and customer service is insane!
