Today at 8:30am, a bubbling sound can be heard from the bathtub drainage. Today is Sunday, I was getting in to take a shower. But when I heard the weird sound I stopped entering the bathtub. And yes another 30 minutes past, there coming up from the barhtub hole, the bad smelling goop and settled there. I was here alone since 3 days ago and did not even use the shower. This is the 4th incidents in 2023. this year and today is July 9, Sunday. Of course I called Isabel, manager. Of course she recorded a wrong number to call for emergency. The number is either Illinois or Pennsylvania. The last time we had peoblem, my husband called a plumber and paid for it buy we are asking to reimburse our payment because it is too much inconvenience for us that we couldn't use the bathtub. Until not no news about our request. Most probably that she never submit it. Big bills are coming. Our inconveniences are not free.

The staff at Knollbrook Falls were always kind, caring, and attentive to her needs. Their compassion and willingness to help made a real difference in her life and gave our family peace of mind knowing she was treated with respect and genuine care. They were also incredibly helpful when it came time for her to move. They went above and beyond to assist with the move-out process, including helping us take care of getting rid of unwanted items and things she had accumulated over the years. Their help made an otherwise overwhelming process so much easier for my mom and our family. Twenty-six years is a long time to call a place home, and we are very grateful for the many happy years my mom spent at Knollbrook Falls. We will always appreciate the kindness and support she received and the wonderful memories she made there. When I entered the office, an associate looked at me and then continued walking into another office without acknowledging me. Having worked in hospitality, I believe a simple "I'll be right with you" would have been appropriate. After about three minutes, Melody returned and asked if she could help me. I explained that I was looking for a place closer to work and wanted to downsize. She handed me her business card, told me to make an appointment, and then walked away. Whether my expectations were reasonable or not, the interaction left a poor impression. As a result, I will be looking elsewhere for housing.

From day one, Simeonne went above and beyond for us. We were relocating from San Diego to the Torrance area and only had one weekend to apartment hunt. She accommodated our schedule so we could tour what immediately felt like our dream apartment and even helped us get our lease signed on very short notice before we had to head back to San Diego. She made what could have been a stressful move feel so much easier. The location ended up being perfect for us. We're close to Redondo Beach, H Mart, Costco, Trader Joe's, Del Amo Mall, and pretty much everything we need. It's also very dog-friendly, with plenty of neighborhoods and nearby parks for walks, which was a huge plus for us and our two dogs. What really stood out, though, was how responsive and caring Simeonne was throughout our time here. Anytime we needed something, she handled it quickly -- often the same day. Whether it was a clogged drain, us accidentally short-circuiting something in the apartment, or an issue with the shared laundry room, she was always on top of it. When one of our dogs' licenses expired, she notified us right away, and she always made a point to compliment our dogs and how well behaved they were, which we loved. Even during larger property improvements, she made sure residents were taken care of. When the lobby and flooring were being redone, which understandably created some inconvenience, she made sure we still had a safe pathway to get in and out of our residence. One thing I'll be especially grateful for happened after my vehicle was damaged and I needed to use a rental car while it was being repaired. Simeonne kindly allowed me to temporarily use an available parking space for a few days. She absolutely did not have to do that, but that small act of kindness made an already stressful situation so much easier for me. Beyond everything she did as a property manager, Simeonne was simply warm and friendly. Whether we passed her in the hallway or saw her at the reception desk, she always greeted us and made the community feel welcoming. As we prepare to move on to our next home, we're incredibly grateful that Camino De Oro was our first home after moving from San Diego. Simeonne played such a big part in making our experience here a positive one. Thank you, Simeonne, for always being responsive, accommodating, kind, and willing to help. That kind of quick turnaround gives us so much peace of mind knowing maintenance issues are handled promptly. The location itself is fantastic too. There's a beautiful park right across the street, perfect for morning walks or unwinding after work. The surrounding neighborhood is also very dog-friendly, which has made life so much easier for us and our pup. On top of that, the convenience factor here is unbeatable -- CVS and H Mart are both less than a mile away, so grocery runs and quick errands are a breeze. We had one parking spot for us with more storage in the parking spot. Downside of this apartment is that they are not double paned windows so dust and noise are inevitable. You hear everything. Walls are very thin. We were on the first floor and we could hear everything. There are two rooms of laundry and uses Bluetooth for payment which was amazing. However, only a few work. I believe the residents have reported it several times but no action was done. The residents of the complex were mostly couples and single residents. Only a few people had families. With that said, I think this apartment complex is more appropriate for couples and singles who are looking for a more quiet and intimate space. I wouldn't say this place is family friendly.

BEWARE!!!!! ZERO SECURITY AND THEFT! I have a bicycle that…read morejust got stolen from the parking lot and there are no cameras or security of any kind. The whole place is gated, and my bike is not visible to anyone outside the complex, so it must mean that someone in the complex stole it. They cut my lock off and took my bike. The landlady doesn't care because she just puts signs saying she is not responsible and won't put up security cameras. She said whatever happens is your responsibility. I have lived in about 10 apartments in my lifetime and I have NEVER experienced anything like this before. My bike wasn't even worth that much so it really shows what type of low life people live here that would just steal their neighbors bike to sell. And having the landlady onsite living here is worthless since she won't do anything. This place is the most insecure place I've ever lived. Also, it's winter now and the windows are so thin, you can hear all the traffic and fire trucks pass every night. And the temperature in the apartment is just as cold as the temperature outside because there is zero insulation. This is the worst place I've ever lived and cost too much for the location. The laundry card machine is constantly broken so you can't do your laundry unless you put $100+ in your card assuming you want to live at this dump for that long because you won't get that money back if you don't use it all.

The location may look appealing because it's close to Redondo Beach, but after actually living here, there are a lot of issues that prospective tenants should seriously take into consideration. One of the biggest problems during the summer is the heat inside the units. When temperatures outside are in the 80s or higher, the apartment can become absolutely blazing hot. The building is very old, and the units seem to retain heat extremely well. Even at night, when it has cooled down outside and there's a nice breeze, the inside can remain unbearably hot. It feels like the building absorbs heat throughout the day and continues radiating it into the units long after the outdoor temperature has dropped. The design of the property also makes the apartments feel very cramped and dark. Our unit gets very little natural sunlight, so even during the daytime it can feel gloomy and depressing inside. Another major issue is the smell around the property. Despite management telling residents not to allow it, some dog owners continue letting their dogs urinate throughout areas of the building/property. The smell of dog urine is noticeable in many areas and makes the property feel poorly maintained and unpleasant to walk through. The parking garage exit onto Prospect Ave is another serious negative. Prospect is a busy street where cars frequently travel fast, and cars parked along the street can significantly block your view when you're trying to pull out of the garage. There have been many times where exiting feels like you're playing accident roulette because you simply cannot see approaching traffic well enough. In my experience, it feels unnecessarily dangerous. If you have guests or a roommate with another car to park on the street, you can forget about it. They'll be parking very far across the street in the residential area or competing with others to park somewhat close. The common laundry area has also been frustrating. The washing machines frequently leak, leaving puddles of water on the floor that residents have to walk around or through. Noise is another issue, particularly on weekends. There have been tenants playing loud music late at night, which adds another layer of frustration when you're trying to relax or sleep. Overall, living here has been a bad experience for me. Being close to the Beach sounds great on paper, and I think that's what makes this property somewhat deceiving. Once you actually live here, the heat, lack of natural light, urine smell, laundry issues, late-night noise, cramped design, and dangerous garage exit onto Prospect Ave significantly outweigh the benefit of being relatively close to the beach. If you're considering moving here, I would strongly recommend visiting the property at different times of the day and night, checking how much natural light the specific unit receives, looking at the garage exit onto Prospect during busy traffic, and walking through the common areas before signing anything. These are all things I wish I had taken more seriously beforehand. The location may initially look attractive, but in my experience, there are simply too many negatives that make day-to-day living here unpleasant.
