The service provided was outstanding, it wasn't crowded, we weren't rushed, After we watched the fireworks at Epcot and Disney. Views were spectacular. Stayed at the beautiful Mariot Grande Vista, didn't hear great things about Copa Loca, but decided to try. It was worse than the reviews. We got the chicken changa, all frozen store bought plastic chicken with no flavor. Chips were fine but how can you mess them up? Salsa was Tostitos salsa. Chicken wings were soggy and surprisingly all fat. The Mahi Mahi also frozen and rubbery. The drinks were fantastic but, absolutely horrendous food. Save your money and go to chipotle for a somewhat decent meal. read more

Service was pretty fast, they were very busy for 10:00 on a Saturday night. It was Mothers Day weekend though. Ambiance inside is simple, outside near pool is nice. Servers are awesome, they get 5-stars! It's too bad the servers are not complimented by the food they must serve. It's the type of resort food that caters to the bland and boring American pallet. The nachos specifically are horrendous. There was a teaspoon of hardened pick de gallo on the bottom, Tasteless cheese sauce, with the only notable thing being the multicolored tortilla chips- but that's just due to food dye. I requested jalapeños, they were pickled but it didn't help that much. Keep the servers, they are awesome, toss the menu, toss the ingredients, ramp up the kitchen , and start over with different food, and ingredients. read more

We we're staying at the Marriott resort here and it's beautiful. Copa Loca has some great drinks including a few good bucket style drinks that were strong enough to get my a buzz before I ate. My girl had a "Miami Vice" which isn't on the menu but it tasted great. We ordered the taco platter that comes with 9 tacos. We got 3 mahi, 3 chicken and 3 shrimp but they came out all 9 mahi. Not upset about it cuz they promptly made the 6 chicken and shrimp tacos and let us take the rest of the mahi FREE. The car is located next to the pool so we plan on going back later to get drunk in the hot tubs. read more

We were planning on just having a small dinner and bringing it back up to the room because there were no tables but a server found us looking for a table to go sit at the pool chairs come over and take your order and reserve a table for us when one opened up. He was super friendly and we got our food super quickly I didn't cost that much for four people it was only like 20 bucks. The food is similar to buying frozen packaged food from the supermarket and have it fried and sit around for awhile. The staff is laid back so much that you will catch the staff often on the phone, zoned out watching the television, or chatting with other staff so much that you could sit there for over 25 minutes and not be served. Sometimes you will find the placed unstaffed, and wonder if the place is even open. The mixed drinks tastes horrid and may leave you thinking if the bartender even has a mixing license. Being a property owner here, I have already talked about improving this establishment, but to no success. I like love the pool but hate how people claim prim chairs and you never ever see them sit in them. The bar does not have distaff so you must go up yourself order and wait for food which takes forever to come out. The food is pretty bad except for the pretzel$10 by the way. Today I ordered the Buffalo Wings which tasted ok not crispy though. I proceeded to see them again and hour later when I threw them up. I was so sick and it cane on so fast. I know what your thinking I probably was drunk but no I can't drink alcohol at all. The pool is still great but that's all this area good for. read more

Arrived last nite and ate here.. There was a torrential rain storm with thunder and some of the loudest claps of lightning I've ever heard.. Made my hair stand up. It moved all the families out of the bar pretty quickly..The staff were very accommodating and doting. The food was Ok .. Not bad,not great and pretty pricey. 9$ for a draft at happy hour. This place is great! Located in the resort were staying at. It is a bit pricey @ $8.00 for a draft beer but again it's a bar in a resort. We flew in earlier today, this is a cool little spot, the ambience is excellent! It's surrounded by pools and palm trees. You can't ask for much more! There was a DJ playing and occasionally people would do karaoke. We ordered dinner. We started with the garlic and Parmesan wings. They were very very good, we ordered 6 and they came with 8. My wife ordered the salad, with shrimp. She said it was very good. I ordered the veggie wrap with a side salad. The food was good, not great, but the ambience is priceless! The servings were a bit on the small side but it was convenient. We didn't have to leave the resort. I would recommend. I would say 3 stars for the food and give it the extra star for the ambience. read more

I have eaten here several times in the last week. Prices are high as everyone has said, but I'll pay $7 to sip a cold beer while sitting by a pool or relaxing in the hot tub with family and friends. I had a pretty good shrimp Cesar salad tonight. Earlier I enjoyed the foot long chili dog, excellent seafood paella (it was heavy on the seafood), and fish tacos. Bartenders and servers are friendly and helpful. They look the other way when we brought outside beers to the place. All in all, I'd recommend it. Fun, lively bar! Can't comment on the food, but stopped in last night to check out the dueling pianos, and they were great! High energy, really good sing-along type songs. We ate here one evening while staying at the Marriott Grande Vista. It is located next to one of the pools. We had the wings (buffalo and garlic parm), Copa Loca Tacos(fish) and chicken tenders. All 3 were very good and reasonable priced for resort food. I agree with other reviews stating they need more servers to support the demand. The night we visited there was one waitress waiting on at least 10 tables. She was very friendly and helpful but was running back and forth constantly. The food also took a long time to come out, nearly 35 minutes for items that I would think shouldn't take more than 15 min. It is a nice option for those staying at the hotel. read more

Food options are typical bar fare; burgers, wings, and a myriad of fried items. After checking in at the 4 Seasons we decided to give this restaurant a go and we were not disappointed. Tapas was great! Bacon wrapped dates superb, octopus was terrific, and the pork belly amazing! Steer clear of the shrimp as very blah.. the chicken was excellent for a main and the braised ribs were good. Currently staying at the resort and would say that the food is average but the kids enjoyed the wings. We were sitting at the pool last night and I walked over and asked the waitress if we could place an order. I pointed to where we were sitting at the upper pool and she said someone would be right over. After 10 min I gave up and walked up to the older bartender and told him that I wanted to place an order him we were going to eat it at the pool. He took my order and I assumed he would walk be 20 feet and deliver the food when I was ready. However, that was not the case, I had to walk back over and get the food, that was in to go containers, I'm walking back to my family. Since this is a Marriott property and owners spend quite a summer to stay here I would think that the bartending and wait staff would be a little bit more engaging and attentive. Since I'm on day three of my vacation I've come to the conclusion that they also can't handle an open tab. It is safe to say that the bartenders do not share tips because the best service only comes from the bartender that you open the tab with. I really enjoyed hanging out at the pool and having a cocktail's throughout the day and engaging bar staff helps create the The environment that I enjoy. My wife and I tried this place on the first night of our vacation. There was no help from the wait staff on where to sit. We sat down at a table for 15 minutes and had people just walk by us. At that point we decided to sit at the bar. The service at the bar was amazing, which is why they have 2 stars and not 1. The kitchen was overwhelmed so the food took awhile, which was fine, because we watched some basketball and had some great drinks. I have traveled a lot for my job and I love resorts like this bar is located in. It is located around a pool at the Marriott grand vista. The service is amazing and I will say Troy is one of the best bartenders I have come across. He is incredibly attentive and hard working and his interaction with the guests is spot on. I can imagine being a bartender is challenging here because not only are you making drinks and serving food you have a constant flow of kids looking for virgin frozen drinks. Do you want to go to a restaurant where the whole 'food' aspect feels like an afterthought? If the answer to that question is yes, then I surely have the place for you! Yeah, I know I reviewed this place a few years ago... And yeah, I said the same damn thing. However, being the fool I am, I figured that something might have changed in the however many years it's been since I bothered to go here... Being dragged here by family also played a large role. From what I remembered of this place, the service was always friendly enough- but they weren't always very attentive, and the kitchen was sometimes comically slow. On my last visit, the food took a very long time, and we only saw our waitress a few times; I'll wager that this hasn't changed. The food was also just as I remembered it: Everything served here is either from a package, a can, or the freezer (a step below even Applebee's). You can't really expect much else from a place with a menu as large as its kitchen is small. When thinking of what to order here, think of things that are easy to make decently/hard to screw up. The pulled pork sandwich wasn't bad, and the wings were pretty good- both of those things fall into that category. In particular, avoid anything that you'd want cooked to a temperature other than well-done; I ordered a burger cooked medium rare, and I wondered why they even asked when I received it. Am I being too critical of this place? Yes and no. Some might say I'm a (borderline) foodie, It's safe to say I care more than most people, and it's safe to say that I'm well outside of the target market on that basis. However, for me to eat at a restaurant, it has to do something better than I can do it. For instance, I go to McDonald's, Taco Bell, and White Castle because they are quick, cheap, and, hell, good for all of the wrong reasons. I go to The Cheesecake Factory because they can make food as good as or better than I can make it, and certainly with a lot less effort on my part. As for the Copa Loca: It's not fast, it certainly isn't cheap, and I could whip up something better with little effort (I'm slightly above average in the kitchen, at best). Personally, I see no reason to go here. Two years later, I still give this place a skip; there is a ton of better food within a 5 mile radius of the resort, and you'll definitely get a better bang for your buck. read more
